Much refreshed after spending a fortnight " bathing " in luxury in this friendly , adult only , Four Star hotel. We went in September when the wind drops and the sea is warm. Lots to see and do with plenty of people to show you the ropes and supply you with all the information you could need about the local area , transport and events , excursions etc. . Friendly staff , Mountings of mouth watering food and all the luxury surroundings you could want made this the ideal holiday for us . I could go on for ever but I think you must have got the idea by now. --- Enjoy.More

Not perfect, but better than most
Me and my wife stopped here at the end of sept. Was a nice surprise that my email a few weeks earlier, about a room upgrade, had been heard and we had a pool view. The whole hotel, is very clean and all the staff are hard workers and friendly. Our room was very spacious, with a great view. Just a couple of points which were, the bath was in a poor state, and the big shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. As other people had mentioned, the air conditioning was poor in the room, but just about did its job. The beds and pillows, were the best I have ever slept in abroad, very comfortable. Add to that the blackout curtains, meant we overlay the first night we were there so missed breakfast. Our fault not hotels.
The breakfasts, were really nice and probably the best breakfasts we have had abroad. We found the evening meals, average, with not much variation. You had a fish station and a meat station. You had a rice and pasta station and veg and chips too. This meant that there wasn't many more stations to alter the food daily. We found most food was quite bland too.
The pool area is nice and clean and although the pool is cool , once you are in, it's nice and relaxing.
Evening entertainment, was quite high standard and varied range of types of singers (3tenners, soul, motown, abba tribute).
In my opinion though it was maybe too quiet. There wasn't much to do during the day except relax, and then the daily aqua fitness class. You couldn't help but think if the weather turned.....what would you do?
On the whole pluses
Room size and beds
Poor air conditioning
Poor cleanliness of bath and shower area
If you want a hotel which is totally relaxing and quiet, with the opinion of going out to eat with entertainment and bars around the corner, then corralejo bay will be for you.More

Again the Barceló Corralejo bay hotel provided everything for a relaxing holiday. Downside the second week, because the hotel got busier the chefs did not seem to cope as well or something altered which meant waits for food off the grills. Staff again excellent. Still a good well run hotel, good location, with something for everyone.More

Lovely hotel - excellent value
Lots to praise:
Friendly, helpful and smiling staff
Fantastic buffets at breakfast and dinner
Large, spotless and quiet rooms
Nice clean pools
Just a few improvements needed for a 5* rating:
Air conditioning in room not fully functional
Weak wi-fi coverage
â¬3 per day safebox charge a bit steep
Overall, a great stay and would highly recommendMore

Still hard to find fault.
Second stay here, almost everything from previous revew (April 2014) as good as then.Couple of differences - air-con throughout hotel seemed a bit weak, ok for September but might have struggled in high summer. On plus side, free WiFi across hotel, but rather dodgy connection upstairs.
Lovely staff, from reception to restaurant, bars to room maids, excellent service with a genuine smile make it a real pleasure to stay here. Huge selection at both breakfast and dinner though, again, I would have preferred a little hotter, all areas impeccably clean at all times.
Took advantage of the free bus to the dunes this time (get ticket in advance from reception), enjoyed day at a huge, clean beach with beds and umbrella, 3EU each, and lovely clear blue sea, easy to access and can go 200 yards out and still stand. If you get fed up , can catch local bus/taxi back early.
This is a great hotel in great location, adults only good for us oldies,
Best way to describe it is classy and stylish, without being remotely snobbish - a real pleasure to visit. Will definitely return again, just hope you don't all want to do so at the same time!More
