The Barcelo Corralejo Bay is an adults-only retreat with a great spa and a pair of pools. It's in a fantastic location, too - the bars and restaurants in the town centre are within arm's reach, and the sandy beach is a few minutes' stroll away.
The adults-only Barcelo Corralejo Bay is nestled in the heart of Corralejo. You’ve got shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, and a sandy beach just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Better still, the hotel is surrounded by waxy palms and tropical shrubs, which give things a peaceful, private feel.
The greenery continues out by the swimming pools. There are two of them, and they’re shaded by glossy vines that line up along the water’s edge. Sunbeds and parasols dot the surrounding terrace, and there’s a bar out here, that’s well-stocked with drinks and snacks.
Elsewhere, you’ve got a tranquil spa that’s perfect for unwinding. Among the facilities on offer are a string of showers with different aromas, colours and music, a toning pool and a bubbling hot tub. Plus, you can enjoy treatments like a full body massage.

4th visit to this hotel
We have just returned from our 4th visit to this hotel over several years. I asked for a nice view if possible and got room 3137 which had the best view imaginable it was fantastic. We come to this hotel as it is so quiet but only 5 minute walk to all the shops and bars and a two minute walk to a great little beach. All we wanted to do was chill out and as it is adults only it is perfect as it's so peaceful. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is really clean. I suppose I would say it is rather dated now so if it is uber modern you want then this is not for you but as long as it is clean it doesn't bother us at all and it is super clean. They have nightly entertainment in the lobby bar which was fine to pass a few hours before we went out and about. We really love this hotel so it pains me a bit to complain but I have to mention the food. It is just ok. Breakfast is fine but evening meals were very bland and luke warm but having said that we always got something and the puddings were good. If the food was improved I wouldn't have a bad word to say about this hotel. Having said all that this is still the only hotel in this resort I would stay at. Maybe bed and breakfast would be good as there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby.More

A holiday to be repeated very soon
Just returned from our 8th visit to the Barcelo Corelejio fuerturventura. The hotel just gets better. It is friendly, comfortable and the food is fab. We were pleased to see the evening entertainment was back in the bar area. The staff are excellent in every area of the hotel. Treat yourself and enjoy the comfort and relaxation.More

Great hotel, pool & staff =poor food
The room, hotel, staff and entertainment are superb; the food sadly is poor. We were only given an option for Halg Board - we wanted b&B at wrost, but we booked late, so paid the rather high price for easter week. The breakfast selection is what you would expect on a standard 'all inclusive' deal, complete with cold platess for the early risers, and latecomers....cold beans, eggs, precooked omlettes solidifying on ungreased hotplates, precooked friedn eggs solidifing at the same rate.... EVening meal was much along the same lines, although they did have consistently hot plates int he evening, and a large selection of foods that didn't necessarilly go together....it was a choc ice and chips moment on the three night we tried - you could find something to eat, but it was haphazard and again of a standard AI quality, which for the pice paid was poor. Wifi is poor - getting emails/texts/messaging out was long winded, although I hav to say that in our roiom we did stream a movie to our tablet and watched it sucessfully. Safe - the only place in the world where a hotel rated 4* had charged for a room safe - 21Euro a week....if it had been a little B&B I would have understood, but come on, its an adults only, 4* hotel that can't be considered 'cheap' - the use of the already there safe should surely be included? Luckily, it is within 5 miutes of bars, restaurants and shops; 5 minutes form, the beach and thebars there, and therefore despite having paid over £450 for 7 days of Half board, we spent an additional £400 on eating good quality, hot food out of the hotel. The weather wasn' the best for our week (3rd - 10th April) and the pools were so cold that we only saw 2 people at most in there and they said that they swam one length and got out; one girl said she jumped in, had a photo taken and got straight out - why don't they heat them? We went to the Oasis wildlife park - a lot like Chester Zoo but frankly more interactive than here - we fed giraffes, elephants, sealions, lemurs....can't do that here! We also did a buggy trip to the local Volcano and although it was a tough climb up there it was well worth it for the view AND the chipmunk feeding that we did! Our guide gave us sunflower seeds and we fed around a dozen chipmunks! Amazing. A good week, a first time to Fueraventura, would use the hotel again, but would fight for room only basis as the food is simply not worth paying for with so much better outside on your doorstep.More
Great stay at Barcelo Corralejo Bay
Expected a decent 4 star based on previous reviews we had read. This far exceeded our expectations. I would say it was a very very good 4 star. Rooms quite large. Balcony good decent size. We didn't pay extra but had a partial view of the sea. Patio doors opened very wide giving an open feel to our room. Comfy beds. Very good choice of food. We were half board. Good location. We would recommend this hotelMore

Very Good Hotel
This was our first visit to Fuerteventura. We e-mailed in advance asking for a 3rd floor room & that's exactly what we got. The hotel is very well situated in Corralejo, just a few minutes walk from the 'main strip' yet far enough away to ensure there was no noise. Corralejo is a lovely resort. The main restaurant was very good. There was plenty of space between the tables, which isn't always the case in 4 star hotels. It was also less chaotic than in some similar sized restaurants. We also had the waiter served evening meal in the Pool Bar on the Friday night. This was excellent. Strangely this doesn't appear to be promoted as much as it should be & I expect many guests aren't aware of it, certainly some that I spoke to didn't know about it. I recommend you book this meal (which is 'free' if you're on half board) on your arrival at the hotel. The hotel was very clean and ALL members of staff were very helpful & courteous. Unfortunately we didn't have good weather but it didn't prevent us having a good holiday.More
