Barceló Corralejo Bay

The Barcelo Corralejo Bay is an adults-only retreat with a great spa and a pair of pools. It's in a fantastic location, too - the bars and restaurants in the town centre are within arm's reach, and the sandy beach is a few minutes' stroll away.

The adults-only Barcelo Corralejo Bay is nestled in the heart of Corralejo. You’ve got shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, and a sandy beach just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Better still, the hotel is surrounded by waxy palms and tropical shrubs, which give things a peaceful, private feel.

The greenery continues out by the swimming pools. There are two of them, and they’re shaded by glossy vines that line up along the water’s edge. Sunbeds and parasols dot the surrounding terrace, and there’s a bar out here, that’s well-stocked with drinks and snacks.

Elsewhere, you’ve got a tranquil spa that’s perfect for unwinding. Among the facilities on offer are a string of showers with different aromas, colours and music, a toning pool and a bubbling hot tub. Plus, you can enjoy treatments like a full body massage.

A quite week

We booked a last minute week at this hotel, we were not disappointed although our room was amazing I would choose a different room next time because of its nearness to the road and the fact the privacy was not so brilliant as it was on the ground floor and had the gardeners walking by on a regular basis! A lovely place to chill and relax, the staff were brilliant. Its a shame the hotel only provided water in the room on the first day! More

Fabulous festive holiday

Words cannot express how special our festive holiday break was at the Barcelo Hotel this year. The staff were so attentive and looked after us with excellent customer service. Nothing was to much trouble to sort out when we asked about anything. There was such a wonderful selection of food on offer in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner services, prepared to a very high standard. Christmas Day evening buffet was 'Out of this world'. I highly praise all concerned who made the meal so very very special! We will not forget it for a long, long time. The hotel location is ideal for the beach lovers amongst us but also the walkers who like short or long strolls with idealic views wherever you find yourselves. We enjoyed the walks to the harbour either along the sea front or through the town. A large selection of shops incorporated in the more modern shopping development or the old town which is further to the harbour side. Wifi was a bit of a pain especially as we were trying to contact friends and family over the Christmas period but was not the end of the world. The varying evening entertainment organised over the time we were there was very good, but it was dissappointing when it finished at 11pm. I work in a hospitality department within an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated college that delivers various hospitality training courses to students, so I am aware of the standards that are expected within the industry to achieve customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend the Barcelo to anyone.More

Lovely hotel,well situated

Stayed here last week, very pleased with the hotel, we booked with Thomas Cook from UK and paid a supplement for sea view room & balcony. Room was good - weather windy & cool a lot of the time though so hardly used balcony or pools, which was a shame. Food was good and lots of choice, some was hotter than others but if you kept an eye on things you could see when the fresh hotter dishes were freshly cooked. You can have cava with breakfast each morning if you wish! The only 2 problems we had: one evening we wanted to use the indoor pool for half an hour before dinner, but were told we had to pay 15 euro each, although we had understood that it was included for Thomas Cook customers as long as no spa treatments used. The TC rep had told us this during the welcome meeting also! The weather had not been hot, and the outdoor pools were too cold to use, therefore we think it was mean of the hotel to want to charge us for half an hour swim!! Also, when ordering food at the pool bar, you are forbidden to take it to the pool area, so you have to sit at the tables even if on your own. Otherwise, the hotel is well positioned for the beach, walks to the harbour & shops. There were many elderly guests, the entertainment was good in the evenings but the lighting could have been adjusted for better atmosphere. The activities schedule was good, especially cocktail making! Nev is excellent at including the guests and arranging entertainment & Activities to suit people of many ages & nationalities. The lady in the gift shop is knowledgeable and friendly & helpful with booking car hire. Hotel Management please note, an extractor fan in the bathroom would be advised! We stayed in room 3222, which was high enough for side view of the sea & harbour with Los Lobos island and Lanzarote in the distance.More

Wish I could give it no stars for service at breakfast

For the first time in my 70 years I had to take my cup from my table and Q behind loads of people for a cup of coffee from the coffee machine. Once consumed it was taken away. With no cups near the machine I had to take one from a vacant table. Rubbish !!!!!!!!!!!!!!More

even better than last year

Had another wonderful holiday at the Barcelo the staff were very friendly, and the food was even better than last year. You need to book early to get into the Italian restaurant, but it is worth it. Plenty of sunbeds. Good walk to the beautiful beach, but there is a steep hill back up to the hotel. Taxis not too expensive thoughMore
