The Alisios Playa Apartments are set on the outskirts of Corralejo, so they’re in a peaceful spot, but less than a five-minute wander along the seafront from the beach and the town centre. There's also a regular bus service laid on from the complex to the Corralejo sand dunes. It'll get you there in under ten minutes.
Taking the central spot in the grounds is a curvy swimming pool. It's framed by a stone terrace that's bordered by greenery and shady palm trees, and there's also a separate pool out here especially for smaller guests. You've got a poolside bar, too, which makes refreshments easy to come by.
The sand-coloured apartments huddle around the pool area and strike a village-like vibe. Inside you'll find whitewashed walls, summery, terracotta-tiled floors and cheerful floral furnishings, with mod-cons like kettles, toasters and microwaves completing the set-up.

Just returned after a 2 week stay. We were quite annoyed when we were told that we had to pay 46 euros for to get the telly on for the fortnight. There is 1 English channel which is Euronews but is expertly hidden To get it you need to type in the number 23 on remote, go to audio and change to Iglais. Next I was astounded to be told we had to pay 8 euros for a 1 hour sauna. No gym either. The food is ok but repetitive. Plenty there though and a good source of salads. The entertainment was more like a trip back to the 70s in a holiday camp. Karaoke, Bingo etc. The weather wasn't so good so there is very little for the kids to do, in fact there is nothing. The beds were really hard. At the end of the holiday 3 of us all had backache in the same place. There is only one bar for the whole of the Hotel and there is usually only 1 bar person on duty. With this in mind queues can quickly develop. The staff do an amazing job though. In conclusion. Would I go again? sadly no. But I can understand others found it excellent, no us though.More
Average Complex To Stay At
I think I must write this review in 2 parts firstly the complex is in need of a facelift as it is tired and not much to do. The rooms are very basic but they are cleaned every other day. The entertainment is very poor at night and if you have taken children there is only the pool & a very small play area for them to play in. If you want to watch TV in your room we had to pay 20 Euros a week to get all the English speaking channels which we thought we would be able to get free as we were all inclusive. The food we found was pretty good you could have full English ( downside to this is everything was swimming in oil) or a Continental breakfast. We were told there was a gymnasium & sauna for our use but we found out the gymnasium had been closed for a long and if you wanted to use the sauna you had to pay 8 Euros Secondly the staff were absolutely brilliant very helpful and always cheerful nothing was a problem to them. We were there for 2 weeks but we will not be returningMore

Relaxing - no hassle holiday
Travelled 20th Nov - 27th Nov 4 Adults Flights Flew with TC - Had up to date movies on each flight - even though the IFE has officially stopped on short haul flights. So good idea to still take headphones and adapters. Flight out, 1 hour early because of tail winds. Transfer 40 mins. Easy drive - not long until we were at the hotel. Hotel & All Inclusive Really good points & niggly bits. Good Points Relaxing - staff are not in your face at any point, but yet are where they need to be when you do need them. Bar - Staff quick and polite. Basket for tips - so no pressure. Food - wont win any awards but more than adequate. Breakfast time always chances for full breakfast - cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and hams etc.... Lunch - pasta, sauces, chips, salad, meats (hot and cold), fresh bread rolls, fish, pizza etc.... Dinner - same as lunches generally (but not on the same days), chicken, Pork, lasagne, BBQ, etc... Good standard. Always the option to eat in or outside. Self Service for drinks when eating :) Tea and coffee self service all the time. Ice Cream available in little tubs - nestle ice cream Snacks available at set times. All inclusive drinks start at 10.30am and finish at 11pm - though you can get drinks during breakfast. Drinks are good. Generally served in glasses (sometimes plastic) - lager is tropical, spirits are local and soft drinks are coke cola, sprite, Fanta and 2 flavoured slushes. Free Wifi in reception - we only struggled twice to get on to it. Its a real asset. TV in lounge - all the usual English loved programmes on there. Library - a room where you can go, sit and read or just swap books. Gary / Michael / Nicky - entertainment - I was very apprehensive to say the least due to some of the previous reviews. It was totally unfounded. Gary is loud, but as with other staff, he is bothered by the experience guests are having & I never saw him being rude - he only had banter with the guests who were giving him banter. I witnessed countless times Gary running around making sure everybody who wanted to be involved was involved & NEVER mocking those who didn't . I myself do not get involved with "holiday entertainment" or what I normally called organised fun - BUT did in fact go on the free of charge guided volcano walk (wow - amazing) and other activities. Location : Fantastic. Allows you to walk to places. All within walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants / cafes / shops / supermarkets . Beach 5 - 10 minute walk Outside Space - on every apartment there is space to sit out the front or back - so every apartment gets the sun. Loved it - on days you want to have a relaxing quiet hour in the sun. Niggly Bits : None of the following would stop me from going to this hotel. I have stayed in both 5 star accommodation and budget accommodation. I knew what to expect so therefore wasn't disappointed. Décor - it does look like a throw back to the 80's - but this just enhances the relaxed atmosphere. (though throughout the hotel it is kept very clean) Full Length Mirror - in the room would of been great if they had one in the apartments. General / Random Info They weigh hand luggage at the airport on the way back home - they currently charge £18.00 for every kilo over and even go down to charging for each 1/2 kilo over. The lady who checked us in at the airport was really good and didn't charge but all the other queues were being charged. Cigarettes - do shop around, they vary widely in price. We flew with TC and got 600 L&B for £65 on the way back. You are allowed 200 per person. At hotel check out is at 10am - though there is a luggage room on site and a scale for £1 you can use to weigh your case. Excursions / Trips - shop around - was quoted £90 for a trip, went a few doors down, got the exact same trip for £59. Bar open at hotel until 12 midnight - so can purchase drinks after all inclusive has finished. We took drinks up to our room - on all inclusive, never a problem doing this - very relaxed. Weather - come back with a tan. It did feel like we experiences 3 of the 4 seasons every day - (thankfully not winter). Sunbathing weather. Was worried about the wind - but apart from the last day it didn't stop me from sun bathing (and I'm not a hardened sun bather who will be lying on a lounger unless the sun is baking) weather varied from 23 - 29 the week we were there. Light jacket at night is all that is required. Mosies - take spray / repellent - we normally do, but didn't this time & was bitten.More

Friendly! but in need of some updating!
Returned just over a week ago! We have stayed at the Dunas many times in the last 9 years we have been going to Correlejo because of its great location! so close to the centre. But we felt the apartments are now really in need of some TLC.Paint needs redoing and cupboard doors hanging off. Apartments are well equipped with microwave, hob (no oven) kettle, toaster and even a sandwich maker but no iron (but can be hired) seemed odd to have all these things but no iron! There was only one bedside table as experienced before but plenty of draw space and large wardrobe. But this time we had no lamp in the lounge. Beds are comfortable but noise from upstairs apartments can travel! We did self catering so cant comment on the food but the staff were very friendly and helpful although putting a small child above us was a little thoughtless and I had to complain at being woken at 6 in the morning to him running backwards and forwards across the apartment above. The man on reception explained that they were going that day but did not apologise . The apartments were cleaned every other day and clean towels and sheets but rubbish and laundry was dumped outside (we were on a corner) and some rubbish was left well over 24 hours! We were out most of the time . Consequently we had cockroaches in our apartment and we lost 2!!! We didn't bring them back anyway !! We stayed in E12 wouldn't really recommend it slightly off scew with the pool and seems like a dumping area for rubbish and laundry. Would recommend D5 or D7 as these had sun in the morning one side and afternoon till it went down last thing.More

We've just returned from another lovely holiday at Dunas Caleta. As always the staff are all fantastic and go out of their way to make you welcome. Everything just spot on for the price paid and we've already booked to return next year. The food is good with plenty of choice - the lunchtime paella is lovely. Rooms are cleaned every other day with fresh towels provided. The entertainment is good if you want to stay at the hotel or there are loads of nice bars and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away if you want to go out.More
