Very pleasant stay but just a few very minor issues
We returned last Friday 12th September after 8 nights in this hotel. We checked in shortly after midnight, i had requested a pool view on a high floor and that request was granted with no extra charge, we got room 412. We were met with a very pleasant man on reception who we saw there every night we stayed. He could not have been any more helpful or pleasent with every query we asked him on various nights. The breakfast each morning was very nice, a great selection of cereals, cakes, bread, eggs, etc. The pool was beautiful and we never had any trouble getting a sunbed no matter what time of the day. The staff were all so friendly in the breakfast room as well as the maids and the reception staff. The wi fi is brilliant and we were sometimes able to pick up signal for it in the room and on the balcony. Our safe wasnt working when we arrived and at 10 the next morning maintenance came up to fix it. We ran out of toilet roll and phoned down and within 5 mins there as someone knocking on our door with it. Rooms and bathroom cleaned every day. The team at the pool had some very fun activities each day. I enjoyed the Zumba.
I honestly find it very very difficult to submit these few minor negatives that i have as this hotel really is beautiful but there is a few things. Entertainment at night time is geered towards the older generation. There is only one plug socket in the room which was hard when 2 phones had to be charged and hair straightner had to be used. There is no English channells on the tv. Unfortunaly we were "blessed" with very noisy neighbours from the UK who argued almost every night we were there. One night at 4 in the morning!! We rang reception on 2 occasions about this. They offered us to change rooms but we could not have been bothered packing up all of our stuff. We ordered a burger at the poolside bar one day and it came out dripping with red blood, we asked the bar man, who was very pleasent, and he browned it up more. I also noticed that the bar man at the poolside bar was not wearing gloves cooking the food, handling money and drinks, then cooking food. Maybe i am just to fussy i dont know!
They are just a few minor issues but overall i would rate this hotel 10 out of 10 for location, less than a ten min walk to Puertaventura and a 2 min walk to the main strip. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. 10 out of 10 for the staff on reception, especially the gentleman who was on night shift last week. It was a very pleasant stay (despite my few minor issues) and we will definately be returning next year :)
Thank you very much to the staff of the Salou Princess for making our hotel very memorable and lovely and i am very sorry about those few minor complaints !
I have visited quite a few resorts over the years and Salou is the cleanest i have come across. Danny Boy pub does the best food and have a drink on the beech bar at night time, its very chilled out. The fountains on the strip are beautiful. Buy your Puertaventura tickets in the hotel saves queing at the park for a long time. 3 days for the price of 2 is the best value. Also buy the express wristband at the park, its an extra 25 euro but well worth skipping the hour que for the rides with it, express you will only be waiting a few minutes.More

Never a 4 star
Just returned from a week at this hotel. This was my fourth stay in the salou area we found the hotel ok but never four star. The food was very bland and cold they supply microwaves for warming. The restuarant is to small for the amount of people in the hotel queues for every meal. The brochure appears to show a large pool good photography no umbrellas never again I'm afraid.More
Summer in Salou
We have recently returned from the H10 Salou Princess and found the hotel was in the perfect location, very close to the main centre of Salou. The room was clean, well maintained & was cleaned on a daily basis. We were given a room with a non-pool view & it looked over the main road & to be honest, we were never bothered by the noise from the street. We did eat from the restaurant within the Hotel but to be fair, wasn't to our liking but understand that it is not easy to keep everyone happy all the time especially when the guests are from different countries within Europe. If you enjoy wandering around the local stalls then this hotel is in the perfect spot & close to other eating places. The air conditioning within the rooms & reception area was excellent especially when the sun was out as it got really hot during the day. I would certainly return to the hotel but would try & book on a room only basis if it was available.More

Summer holiday in Salou
This was our 1st stay in an H10 hotel. The Salou Princess was in a great location with everything on your doorstep. The food was good but quite repetitive when we stayed for 2 weeks. All the staff were very friendly and wi-fi was very good in the hotel reception area and in parts of the restaurant. Entertainment was good in the hotel and we could watch it from our balcony. My only disappointment was that on several occasions I had to go and complain at the reception because our room and balcony floors were hardly ever swept and mopped. The same sticky mark was on the balcony floor for 3 days. I also had to ask for soap and toilet roll on a regular basis not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. on a whole we would return to Salou but maybe to a different hotel.More

Just missing those extra touches you would expect from a 4 Star Hotel
My partner and I recently visited this Hotel on a ten day holiday, although the Hotel is listed as four Star having had experience of other Hotels with this rating we felt that it was just missing those extra touches that we have come to expect from a four star rated hotel.
Don't get me wrong the Hotel is extremely clean, well situated and the staff are very polite and helpful but it just seemed to us that it was three star pretending to be four star in some cases, for instance in other establishments the room safes have been digital and not key operated, there didn't appear to be any towels provided, by the Hotel, for pool use or if there were the fact wasn't made obvious to us and the Wi-Fi (for what use it was) was only available in public areas although it could be picked up on our balcony.
In the restaurant the food was of a high standard but not everything was labelled as to what it was, which could be an issue for the more particular eater, additionally although the restaurant did have a dress code for evening wear this clearly was not being either followed or enforced - I should, add that this was one of our biggest annoyances as we have been "victims" of dress code enforcement in other four star hotels that we have visited (take a look at my review for the Riu Don Miguel, Gran Canaria)
Having said all that, we would certainly have no hesitation in returning to the Hotel with lower expectations than we did have.
We were also fortunate enough to be given a room with a pool view which is useful on an evening if you just want to sit on your balcony and watch the entertainment. Also during the day it would appear that most of the fire doors are left open on all floors so that you don't have to go through reception to get to and from the pool via the sun terrace which is at first floor level.
The Promenade in Salou is less than a minutes walk from this Hotel so it is situated in a good spot, also if you fancy a day trip to Barcelona the Bus stop is just across the road, we were advised against using the train to travel to Barcelona due to the number of pickpockets traveling on trains and on the station.More
