It's close to the beach, shops, bars but you don't have the bad side like drunks and stuff around this hotel. Great food, the evening animation could be better. And you have to run for some sunbathingchairs. The staff at the poolbar are really friendly!More
Overall a good holiday
All staff were helpful especially those at reception. Room cleaned every day and sheets and towels changed as well. Bed was a bit hard but comfortable as that is how we like ours at home. We asked for a quiet room and we got one. It was 405 on the 4th floor at the side of the hotel. The area on this floor beside the lifts needs a new carpet as we feel the condition of this carpet spoils the hotel. No programmes on TV for British except the news. The hotel is in a great position so near the beach and the shops and lovely walks all on the flat to suit pensioners.More
First Holiday Away Together
Me and my boyfriend got a great package deal with Thomas Cook to stay here for a week in June. Because of the time of the year the hotel wasn't full of children so it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel itself was lovely. Very clean, great location with only a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants (Danny Boy and Bus Stop being my favourites). The pool area was very nice with a pool bar close in the shade that made great slushies and cocktails which I loved! Although, a lot of the time the pool area was very crowded but luckily there were more sun beds available on the rooftop terrace. The staff were helpful and polite, but the only down fall was the food. We went half board but barely ever went for breakfast as it started very early and finished early too and we preferred to lye on, but on the last day before heading to the airport we had breakfast and it was to a good standard with foods like croissants and yogurts. But for picky eaters like me who prefer more British/American foods the hotel had little of this variety. The dinner buffet contained many types of fruit and veg, local meats etc. We preferred to eat out more but still ate here a few nights to get some use out of having half board. Over all I had a great stay at the H10 Princess and would definitely return. Great first holiday away!More
Stayed here at the end of July, so was peak season. The hotel is in a good central location close to the beach. The rooms are comfortable and clean and a good size. Towels and toiletries replenished daily. In terms of services I'd probably rank it as a good 3 star rather than a 4 star.
The pool area is however quite small, as a beach goer this didn't bother me too much but in the peak season there is nowhere near enough sun loungers around the pool and they're all snapped up quickly, so if a pool lover that is something to keep in mind.
The hotel was convenient for the bus to Barcelona El Prat as the stop is just across the road and also for buses to Port Aventura.
I'd certainly stay here again if in Salou.More
