Hotel H10 Salou Princess

Families are well-catered for at the Hotel H10 Salou Princess. Location-wise, it’s close to PortAventura and the beach, plus it’s got a huge pool and a big buffet restaurant.

The Hotel H10 Salou Princess scores top marks for location. It sits in one of the resort’s liveliest shopping areas, there’s a nearby beach, and you can drive to PortAventura Park in 10 minutes.

The big pool hogs the limelight at this hotel – it has a whirlpool bath and an al fresco entertainment stage on the side. And a restaurant and pub will keep you fed and watered.

11 days in salou

first of all i would definitely NOT say this is a four star hotel, I've stayed in better 3 star hotels. we more or less treated this hotel as if it was self catering only participating in a couple of breakfasts & lunches. food is typical all inclusive type fair, salad items were fresh but im funny about eating meat so we preferred eating out. Linda's over the road for breakfast, gabby's and the metro for dinner, was so full after the large portions i could hardly move. bed linen & towels were changed regularly but they were marked & decidedly threadbare. shower had good pressure. Room was given only a cursory clean at was small & cramped. reception staff i will say were incredibly helpful & friendly. gym was very outdated for a four star, equipment had obviously seen better days & not a lot of choice. doing floor exercises i noticed how dirty floor was and the amount of dust accumulating under the machines. pool had debris floating around, there are a lot of trees around it, but it did put me off getting in, in fact, my partners bald & did joke that he was happy that he came out of the pool with more hair than when he got in.will say the chill out veranda area did have better sun loungers, was peaceful and you could easily grab a lounger to relax at any time of day. just to let you know if your planning on using the free wifi its at best very temperamental & exasperating. the best point of this hotel was that it was right smack in the center just a short stroll to beach, shops & plenty of nighttime entertainment. its a pity as i had high hopes for this hotel, but when i return to salou it wont be here.More

Lovely hotel

Had a 10 night stay here the room was great paid for pool view which was lovely. Room cleaned everyday clean towels etc. reception staff were fine on arrival didn't have any help with baggage but luckily only on the first floor which was good as people had to wait for the lifts to higher floors. Stayed half board food was fine varied so a good choice. Restaurant staff were lovely friendly and very helpful a special hello to them. We never queued for breakfast or evening meals but there were times especially at breakfast that if you seemed to come later than 9 o clock it got very busy and you would have to queue to be seated. The subbed saga was a daily routine each morning around 8.30 people would start to wait by the doors a mad rush at 9.00 when the doors opened for sun beds I can understand why as there were only around 6 large umbrellas for shade for families with younger children. There was a decked area on the second level with plenty of sun loungers but you accessed this via some steps nice area but no shade. This Hotel was just a couple of minutes from the centre of town lots of nice restaurants and cafes shops and bars. Lots of beautiful coastal walks and numerous beaches to find. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.More

Not a 4star

Some of the hotel was 4 star but was 3 star for its pool experience as not enough umbrellas (would not cost much to rectify). What really let the hotel down was the carpets in our corridor, they were what can only be described as filthy (4 floor) other guests said their floors were the same (again they only neede shampooing)More

ARRIVAL check was fast and efficient with no problems .Once in the room I decided to see if I could upgrade to a pool view room although nothing major wrong with the allocated room ,after requesting they wrote it in a book and told me it was gonna be at least a week but they would let me know but never got back to me so stayed in our allocated room and actually got to like it anyway.4 th floor opp lift overlooking main road always plenty to watch not to mention the daily offending parked vehicles which tow trucks came on a daily basis to tow off along with police and fixed penalty notices we found this amusing but the coach drivers would have had difficulties right on a t junction ROOM 3 single firm comfy beds which we all had no problems sleeping on and a safe and a fridge which was payable on check in.always hot water in a decent size bath I'm 20 stone with ok bathroom furnishing halfway through there useful life.average size balcony with 2 chairs etc air con of ok standard I've had better and worse.RESTAURANT a international selection on offer each nite of ok quality presentation better then taste albeit warm but I think this is a Spanish thing I do like my food served hot along with hot plates it's in my marriage vows.CLEANLINESS no problems in this area very good that's all I'll say.SALOU and THEME PARKS salou dominated by families with a handful of nightclubs but families rule here 99% beach very crowded when we were there but it was school holidays .take a walk one evening or catch a bus up to Cambrils one evening very worth while.and we used Planna ticket office s and purchased a pre loaded bus card this works out cheaper and ur not fighting on with cash on the bus ,you will find these office all over the place.theme parks when were there were a waste of time unless u purchase express passes water park was worse we got one ride and a go In the wave pool and had dinner took all dayMore

Salou Princess

We stayed at this hotel in July and picked this one as we had stayed at an H10 hotel in the Dominican in March and had a great time. This hotel is advertised as 4 star but to be quite honest it is worthy of a 3 star The reason for this is mainly the housekeeping. The rooms were cleaned daily however not to the usual H10 standard, on our first night I ate a seed topped roll and dropped one of the seeds on the floor which was still there 3 days later, I eventually picked it up myself. The balcony had cigarette ash on the railings from the rooms upstairs this was there all week, not once did the maids clean the balcony. The beds were hard and some nights uncomfortable and I did find it hard to sleep at times, We were half board but on all days apart from our last one we skipped breakfast and went to the restaurant across the road as we found the breakfast inedible. horrible bacon and runny eggs. Dinner was nice always something to eat and I would imagine satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. The pool area was lovely and clean and the pool itself was nice and refreshing as the weather was very hot. The hotel has the usual sunbed problem however we always found a sunbed as we tended to go to the sun terrace with the Jacuzzi as we could acces this directly from our floor and at one point I counted 12 empty beds at 3pm in the afternoon. This was ok for us as we did not have children and could please ourselves. I would just like to say that I would never queue for a sunbed and I must say it was absolutely hilarious watching grown men and women sprint for a bed and an umbrella at 9 in the morning, of course come ten past nine all beds were reserved but the area was empty, clearly not fair for families who wish to have a bit of a lie in as their only option would be the beach or the sun terrace, which is not ideal for young children. All staff were friendly and we did go to the sports bar a few nights which was nice. The wifi was a bonus too as we managed to watch a film one night in our room on our tablet. The TV only has 2 English speaking channels both news channels which got boring after a while. I'm sure in this day an age Spain can get more than 2 channels in English. Overall we had a good holiday and Salou is a great place to visit, if I was to come back I would probably try another hotel though.More
