Just back from 7 days in this hotel, and I was a bit nervous at first having read some of the reviews. However, I have no complaints what so ever. We were half board and I must admit there was a good variety of food at each meal we attended. I say that because we never usually go for breakfast after the first day as we prefer to be up early go touring and catch a lunch somewhere. The room we had was very nice, I would have preferred one where we caught the sun more though but you can't get everything. We had a pool view which we paid extra when we booked the holiday, I think it is cheaper that way. The staff were very friendly and room was cleaned with fresh towels each day. I don't think this hotel would suit family's with children over 5 as there is not much room in the children's end of the pool and there is not much entertainment or facilities for them. Saying that there were not many children staying, if any, perhaps that's why. Salou itself is lovely and plenty of bars and restaurants near the hotel. Shops are very good also and staff all very helpful. Buses are cheap and bus stop is just outside the hotel. We went to Barcelona on the bus and it was 19 euros each and journey took about 90 mins and dropped us right in the centre. Easy getting bus back as well. There is a sports bar attached to the hotel and this is very good, prices just the same as any bar in the town. There is a nice bar next to the hotel 'Bells Tavern' the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit. The Beach is 5 mins walk and is spotless. I would recommend this hotel but I think it is more suited to older couples and young families. The entertainment is mostly suited to the Spanish guests but then again we were in Spain so this was not a problem for us.More
Average - Good
Check-In: We arrived at around 10:30, the reception seemed nice and clean. We went to check-in and were told to wait until 1:30 for our room to be ready which was inconvenient but we were able to leave our bags in a storage room so we could go and explore the beach.
Beach: The beach is literally a 2 minute walk, sadly it was extremely busy which made it hard to find a place to sit near to the sea. Sun loungers had a charge which we weren't willing to pay.
Room: Once we were allowed into our room we got good first impressions as it was perfectly clean and spacious, however, there was a strong smell of smoke throughout the whole stay even though it is a non-smokers room, but we were able to get used to it after a while. Air con worked very well. Shower/bathroom in general was faultless, we were very impressed with the standard of cleaning provided daily by the maids. One problem we had with the room is that we were given a twin-room rather than a double-room but we didn't feel the need to complain.
Food: We were expecting to get breakfast and dinner the first day (half-board) but you're not entitled to have breakfast on your first day. The first night the food was disappointing as the options seemed to limited. Over the course of the stay we changed our minds about the food as the options got better and we enjoyed every meal except the first. You have to pay for any drinks you have with your meal, including water.
Entertainment and Pool: Entertainment had a specific target audience of Spanish people of the age of about 50+. Nothing whatsoever for young adults which was disappointing. Don't let the pictures fool you, the pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures, daily activities in the pool but we weren't ever asked to participate. Jacuzzi was cold throughout the day but got a little warmer in the evening, strangely the water stunk of sea water. Cocktails were nice and fairly priced although there was a mishap towards the end of the week when the waiter started to top our Cocktails up with Lemonade which was extremely annoying.
PortAventura: They will try to sell you tickets, but we can confirm that is definitely isn't worth the money at full-price so we would suggest opting for the cheaper evening ticket.
Overall, it was an enjoyable holiday but we wouldn't come again due to the reasons listed.More

just back from our second visit to the Salou princess and have to say I love the place!!!... Check in really speedy with no hassles, reception staff very welcoming and friendly, with nothing a bother, restaurant staff really pleasant and friendly especially the girl that shows you to your table, she really is a credit to the hotel itself..couldn't get nicer...rooms spotless with maid service daily, and believe me them girls can clean the best I ever seen...can't say anything bad about this place, it's in a top location beside everything, no need for buses or taxis....looking for to returning for our 3rd year in a row next year...thanks h10 Salou princess for more amazing memories....xMore

very enjoyable stay
My husband and I have just returned from a eleven night stay at h10 Princess. The hotel is in the perfect location, beside restaurants and only two minutes to the beach. All the staff were very nice and polite. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels everyday. The room was very comfortable and the bed was also comfortable , after hearing previous reviews that the bed was hard. I would say that the hotel is the cleanest we have ever stayed in , throughout the day the maids were constantly cleaning , vacuuming and mopping floors. For ten euro deposit each you get towels for the sunbed and can change them daily. You get deposit back when you are finished., saves having to pack towels. The food was ok, they had amazing salads and great pastries and deserts. The only thing is the restaurant was small and tables were far to close together. Although we were very central there was no nosy at night from the pubs. Danny boys is 2 minutes from hotel, they do fantastic food and have live music and the craic is great. Also you can a pint of beer for only one euro in Chi cargo. which is next door to the hotel and also serves food. Go to the Michael Angelo supermarkets to get your water and booze it is half the price. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay and we will be returning in the near future.More

ONE OF THE BEST
came here for a quick weekend with my son to celebrate his 15th birthday.
Coming here since he was a baby the staff know us well - we really wouldn't want to stay any where else in Salou as we love this hotel.
The bar staff are the best Santiago, Paco and Santy
Great location near to it all but far away enough not to impinge with noise
This hotel has something for everyone More
