Hotel H10 Salauris Palace

The Hotel H10 Salauris Palace is a real winner on the location front – it’s close to the beach, PortAventura theme park, and the town centre.

When it comes to locale, the H10 Salauris Palace is hard to beat. Llevant Beach is less than a 15-minute walk away and PortAventura Park is just up the road.

The pool hogs the limelight at this hotel, with the huge sun terrace and buffet restaurant following closely on its heels.

Premium ugrades rock!

Had an excellent stay at the H10 Salauris. The room was very cosy and clean, the location was close enough to the beach and theme park plus the nearby bars were ace. The food was ok but despite being half board we mostly ate out anyway so its not like we tried everything. The staff were great and the maids did a cracking job. Would recommend and have no probs staying here again. More

Took an hour and half to transfer us from Barcelona. Next time I would definitely fly to Reus airport as the transfer time from there is about 25 minutes. Hotel is large and we were checked in quickly. They gave us some information and drew on a little map for us. All the staff are very friendly. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away. Portaventura is about a 15 minute walk away, turn right out of hotel, cross the first zebra crossing then walk straight up the road... Head towards the large structure for the new Ferrari ride. Read my review on the park for tips. The market is about a 20 minute walk away and they also mark this on the map- market is on a Monday. Only one person in the market let us haggle all the others didn't, this was a little off putting. Lots of the items seemed second hand. But it's worth a visit. The pool is big and there are plenty of loungers. We played bingo one afternoon, see the chart inside to see the activities. The caller was a little hard to understand but that's understandable. There's a jacuzzi on the roof which we used several times and no children are allowed so bonus! We also used the facilities inside the hotel. The sauna and steam room. Not sure why but you have to wear shower caps to use the inside pool! We both booked massages and we enjoyed those at €27 per person for 30 minutes. We booked half board. Breakfast was ok. Juices and tea/coffee are included.... They are not very good. We heated our milk up in the microwave and used the packet coffee to make a decent cup. Evening meal there are no drinks included. Half a litre of water was €1.50 and a litre was €2.40. They have wine which if you don't finish the first night they will save the rest for the second night. We would purchase a jug of sangria in the bar and take into the restaurant. Salad bar was good. I wasn't too fussed on most of the hot food but always found something I could eat. Tip would be to try a little bit and they you can always go back and have more. Saturday night seems to be the best night with the best food. They had king prawns and steak. Roast beef was good too. As always with buffet food just check things like chicken/ chicken skewers are cooked. Desserts were not great but I would try them. There is a part with the ice cream and they put a lot of sweets with it, lots of children dipping their hands in and adults too!! Use the tongs!! The evening entertainment is ok, it's mainly aimed at Spanish people not English. Hardly any English. There is no English TV channels, I know that's not what you go on holiday for but it is nice to have one channel other than the news. The room was a good size and we had shower gel and shampoo replenished every day. Even though I have visited salou and we were there out of season it was very windy so maybe pack something's that will keep you warm. More

Great hotel, location and price.

Been to Salou a couple of times. Wanted to stay in this hotel the first time but it was all booked up. I can see why! It is located in a fantastic position, our room looked over PortAventura, very nice sitting on the balcony in the evening. You can easily walk to the theme park (even with a disability it is not too bad), town and beach. Also the mini land trains (dotto trains) have stops outside the hotel, these are great and reasonably priced for a trip around town or further out to quieter beaches, there are some beautiful beaches on the green line. You can also take these to the theme park if you don't want to walk. Staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful, I cannot thank them enough, especially the reception staff. We had an issue with Gatwick which resulted in all my contact lenses being lost/taken. Thankfully the staff were able to help me with an optician and I got alternatives for the week, which was fantastic I don't know what I would have done otherwise. The food and pool areas were the only slight negative but nothing to put me off going and my OH thoroughly enjoyed the food so it's all a matter of opinion. My only issue with the food is that I have preferred the selection at other H10 hotels I have stayed at more and there was often a long line for the fresh cooked food. There was plenty of choice still and not always a line. The pool issue was that there were lots of people, especially children, and not enough loungers. However, staff were placing cards to move items if sun loungers were reserved. This was great to see but unfortunately we still could not find a space. This lead to a major plus side to our holiday but may not be for all. This hotel has an adults only area upstairs, with a jacuzzi, and has fantastic views. In the end we just went here for the week and didn't use the pool in the end. One day a Scottish family decided to bring their children upstairs which was highly annoying to the adults using the area, especially as there are numerous signs to say that it is a restricted area, but be that as it may the rest of the time it was lovely and peaceful up there. Rooms are great, as I mentioned earlier we were on the front near side of the hotel. Lovely room and view. Kept spotless by the staff. All in all, a great place to stay and I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends!More

Good hotel, location and price

Stayed during summer 2015, the check in wasn't until 2pm but they had a locked room to keep our cases in and changing facilities to get our shorts on straight away, boy it was hot :) Jeans in June, I'll make sure to not do that's again. The hotel room was clean and freshened daily Restaurant food was of good standard, after a week it gets repetitive but a week visit is a good length Location wise it's perfect for walking to salou and port aventura. 10-15 mins walk each way. Would stay again! More

James C,

Best holiday

Myself and my mum have been going to this hotel for many years and are going back September this year . Staff are always helpful and so good at what they do to look after the guests in this beautiful hotel ,entertainment is great for the kids and adults alike can not complain about that its great. The only thing a would say is the dinning room please move the kids section back to the bottom of the dinning room as I think where it is is not s good place ,as family's can not get to this area for the adults trying to get to the serving section which causes huge lines of people I think this is a on going problem. But overall it feels like home to us and hope to see all the staff when we go back in September especially Paco and Louis Maria whom we have known for many years can't wAit to return for are 2 weeks recommend to anybody this hotel is Fabulous More
