We stayed at the Salauris Palace in October for 8 nights and this was our second stay this year at the hotel. The staff are all so lovely and work very hard to make your stay wonderful and they always have a smile. There is always a big selection of food at breakfast and evening meal to suit different nationalities, so nice to try something you have not eaten before. The restaurant staff work hard to make sure tables are kept tidy and clean. Every evening at 10pm there is a show on and staff work hard to serve you so you do not have to go to the bar. There is a good animation team if you have children. Hotel rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. There is a shop in the hotel which is open in the morning and evening and sells papers, sweets, drinks, sandwiches, toiletries and gifts.
We will be seeing you all next year. Rhoda, Bob, Audrey and Gillian xMore

We were a party of a dad and teenage son a 4 day stay. The hotel facilities are good and clean. The staff are helpful and some local knowledge. We were however very dissapointed in the food. The buffet was variable at best the cold food and starters and Salads were reasonable. The hot food was at times dried out or items had run out and not been restocked. The earlier description of reconstituted juice and poorly made automated coffee dispensers is true. The buffet service was for a very large dining room and was crowded, busy and quite noisy. The staff worked hard to keep the tables clean and fresh ones available. The guest age group at this time of year (October) was a generlly Middle aged or older and was not for the young (despite the facilities). It might be different in summer.More

Clean, fab staff, but....
Stayed here as a family of 6 on the first week of Scottish school holidays.
On arrival at 10pm before we checked in the staff showed us to a locked room to hold our luggage while we went and had dinner as our flight was late in and the restaurant was closing..we were given bottles of water on our table at no charge thanks to the restaurant manager which was a nice touch as we had no cash with us as our bags were locked up.
Rooms were a good surprise on the size and very clean. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced every day when you left dirty ones in the bath. Fab views from the front of the hotel. Safe free of charge. Room fridge was never used as at 4⬠a day it's rather steep just to keep a few drinks chilled.
Bar/restaurant was clean tidy and staff very efficient....the major let down for me and my family was the food....
Child's buffet was practically non existent to the point that adults would queue and have food from that..! Not food that I would expect to see in a child's buffet. I have a very plain jane child where simple is best.....! To have dishes that are more suited to adults and that's why adults eat from it is not a child's buffet....having stayed at another H10 I was aware of the child's buffet and one of my reasons for picking H10 again....disappointed and this resulted in us eating out more than eating in and having paid for full board this was an expense that we hadn't accounted for..this would need to be addressed before I ever stayed in an H10 hotel again. (Linda's bar/restaurant was fab for breakfasts) (uncle Sams American diner was amazing)
Entertainment staff are very hard working one in particular worked the whole week herself as the other member of staff was ill..she deserves a big thank you for her hard work. Night shows well to be honest only 2 were worth watching ( tribal act & china acrobat act were the best) However on the night of the tribal act our night was ruined by some very rude French guests who thought it was ok to re-arrange the furniture and sit right infront of my daughter so she was unable to watch the show..I then left with my upset daughter and went to our room. When my husband approached the reception staff about the rude French guests they didn't seem bothered or see anything wrong with that..other guests approached us and said that was unacceptable..clearly we have different views to management.
We didn't use the pool area that much as we like to venture out but the area was clean and no shortage of sun beds.
After reading so many good reviews I was looking forward to our holiday but only to have it let down....my expectations were very high after reading reviews and seeing it at #1.. My review is as honest as I can be and I know everyone's tastes are different but this is our views from our family.More

decent hotel decent location terrible food
Traveled as a family 2+2 mid Oct for 6 days half board. Hotel is big very clean staff friendly and efficient, no problems checking in, room 5th floor, big bathroom very clean and powerful shower, room big also but beds very uncomfortable I never have a problem but they were not good, rooms cleaned every day beds made up,no tea coffee facilities and the fridge was tiny and rented at â¬3 a day withâ¬5 deposit(if your staying for 2 weeks its a bit much I think) vending machines throughout hotel and staff are more than happy to get you anything you need.
Pool area again very clean and as we were there in October we had plenty of space weather was lovely hit 26 some days but the pool was freezing didn't stop us enjoying it though not for as long as we'd have liked.
We went half board so breakfast and dinner, food was awful,no selection even the fruit was bad.
Breakfast cereals universal cornflakes sugar puffs and oats of some sort none of which were good, fruit was hard and bitter not washed, scrambled egg not edible , juices were not what they should be eg apple juice was brown pineapple juice was orange and none tasted nice pancakes toast and beans were nice but you cant have them every morning,,
Dinner was just as bad again no selection we went into the restaurant every morning and evening and walked out had breakfast and dinner twice out of 6 days the other days we went to the titanic bar or sea front, have never experienced food like it at all costs avoid it and save your money because you will want to eat out of the hotel.
The food was the real downfall for us as its a great hotel great facilities, spa (didnt get a chance to use)indoor pool gym games room shop rooftop lounge area, 10 mins walk to portaventura and 10 mins walk to beach and shops its more a 3* rating but if your staying please do just done waste money on including food.More

A lovely hotel. Staff were excellent and so friendly. The boys in the Dining Room were excellent as were the staff at reception. Also our cleaning lady on 5th floor was so friendly and helpful. As for the food, you always found something you could eat but there seemed to beMore
