Hotel H10 Salauris Palace

The Hotel H10 Salauris Palace is a real winner on the location front – it’s close to the beach, PortAventura theme park, and the town centre.

When it comes to locale, the H10 Salauris Palace is heard to beat. Llevant Beach is less than a 15-minute walk away and PortAventura Park is just up the road.

The pool hogs the limelight at this hotel, with the huge sun terrace and buffet restaurant following closely on its heels.

Have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Salauris Palace. What a great holiday, the hotel and staff were just wonderful, as are all H10 hotels. The rooms were big and airy and the pool was one of the best I have seen, very clean. The food was superb, and if you can't find anything you like you must be very fussy. As for a previous review, moaning about elderly people, if you go out of school holidays ,most of the guests will be that age as we want a quieter holiday. . Both my husband and I can't wait to go back next year.More

Lovely Hotel. Needs more facilities.

Lovely place, one of the best in the area. Really close to Port Adventura. Just needs a few more things around the hotel for people to do. Rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. Food is great, but don't go expecting British food. The local cuisine they have us worth it!More

David C,

The salarius palace apparently the best hotel in salou voted on trip advisor. in general salou is a bit of a dive unless you are coming to port aventura which is awesome I wouldn't even bother with salou as a resort. The hotel has to be the worst hotel I think I have been to in a Long time, I'm writing this review on my last night of my holiday because I feel you need to hear my experience. I will start off with the positive news as there is not much of it, go the the roof 6th floor with jacuzzi it's the best place in the hotel! Day 1 I checked in after spending 2 hours on a coach waiting for transfers to be dropped off at hotels bare in mind the airport is 20 minutes away. Once I got to the hotel I was told that my room was not ready and I could not check in until 13.30 we were shown to a holding room for luggage there was a man at the reception desk who I think was meant to be concierge he took me to the luggage room shouting "change, change" he pushed me into the toilet and shut the door. The room is secure but is accessed alot by people needing things from bags. Once we had got the key to our room we found it to be basic no tea or coffee a minibar which was charged for and a hair dryer, the double bed is two single beds pushed together not what you need If spending a romantic break away. This is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Dinner is just terrible, if you pay for inclusive or half board YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVENING DRINKS WITH DINNER and the size of the drinks don't make up for the price you pay. Dinner staff are rude we put a plate of left over food on to another table as the staff had not taken it the waiter sucked her teeth and started to talk about us to another colleague, very rude!. Night time entertainment is tacky to say the least I felt like I was at a retirement home with elderly smokers clapping out of tune to beatles and queen tribute acts, the worst tribute acts ever and insult to the British. Acts play at 22.00 every night so if you fancy an early night think again. Food is ok but full of elderly people queuing before the restaurant is even open, handy tip don't bother queueing for anything is Spain as Spanish people just push in anyway. We have just had an invoice pushed under our door the staff on reception told us to use the hotel phone to make calls as they did not know where a public pay phone was in the area plus there are no pay phones In the hotel, we got charged everytime we used the phone by the hotel, do not fall for this scam no where in the hotel does it say that you need to pay to use the room phone. The highlight of the week was port aventura a must go to be honest visit port aventura and go home salou is a hotter blackpool. Real positive out thomas cook rep Beth she really is a star if you use thomas cook talk to Beth she's really great :) More

Dazz T,

Full review *Hope this is helpful*

Just came back from a weeks stay at this hotel with THOMSONS Holidays. Transfer with Thomsons Travel: We arrived at Reus airport which is 15minutes away from the H10 Salauris Palace. It cost us £60 each for the transfer there/back with Thomsons which we paid beforehand. Its CHEAPER to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel instead of doing it through Thomsons. HOTEL: We arrived at the Salauris Palace at around 10am and wasn't able to check into our rooms until 2pm. We wasn't notified of this beforehand but it wasn't a big problem as we was able to go out and get food. PLEASE NOTE: You have to pay 7 euros each when checking in. The reception staff was helpful and friendly (especially to my boyfriend haha). The hotel has a sauna, steam room and swimming pool which I enjoyed. The rooms were clean and a good size. However, no kettle and iron in the rooms but I did like the room design. I have to be honest, the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful BUT I did not enjoy the food at all unfortunately. Despite being half board, I only ate in the hotel twice. The chef on the open grill was amazing, very friendly again which I think helps make your experience great. The hotel is near the beach and near many shops, bars and places to eat. EXCURSIONS: HOLD OFF BOOKING ANY VIA THOMSONS BEFOREHAND. EXCURSIONS ARE MUCH MUCH MORE CHEAPER TO BOOK ONCE IN SALOU VIA THE SALOU BUS COMPANY called Plana. For example, it cost us 33euros EACH via Thomsons to go to Barcelona for 6 hours. However, via Plana (the local bus/excursion company) it only costs 19.95 euros to go Barcelona with a full tour guide to all the amazing sights including Gaudi. You can also book with them to go Valencia, Tarragona and Barcelona Zoo. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the H10 Salauris Palace Hotel.More

Good hotel BUT could be much better

Stayed in this hotel for 1 week, from 6th to 13th September. Hotel spotless, towels and linen changed every day. Got free upgrade to family room which was massive. Room not ready on arrival and was gone 3.O0 pm before we go our room. When you arrive quite early on a morning this can be a problem. Food was ok, plenty of choice BUT was luke warm, and the chef at the egg station could do with a lesson on how to fry an egg! Most of the staff were pleasant but some were rude and miserable. Now for the sunbeds, plenty of them, just not enough space to put them out around the pool. Regardless of what you are told, sunbeds are reserved. The hotel was very busy and noisey, pestered by entertainment staff to join in activities, when really most people just wanted to relax and chill out. Drink prices very reasonable. Would return but at a quieter period. Free wi fi around hotel and pool area. Free safety deposit box in room which was good. However charging for a fridge in a Hotel that's supposed to be 4 star really isn't on. Rectify these problems Saluris Palace and it will be a great place to stay.More
