Hotel H10 Salauris Palace

The Hotel H10 Salauris Palace is a real winner on the location front – it’s close to the beach, PortAventura theme park, and the town centre.

When it comes to locale, the H10 Salauris Palace is heard to beat. Llevant Beach is less than a 15-minute walk away and PortAventura Park is just up the road.

The pool hogs the limelight at this hotel, with the huge sun terrace and buffet restaurant following closely on its heels.

A fantastic hotel. This was a first foreign holiday for my teenage daughter and it was a great hotel. Great staff, very clean rooms. Excellent cleaning staff. Restaurant brilliant and great entertainment day and night. Fantastic pool despite that people reserved sunloungers and we could NEVER get a sunlounger....that problem should be sorted out. Otherwise a wonderful hotel.More

Well looked after

I was a bit worried before I departed reading the reviews about the food as we had booked half- board. As this was the third hotel to stay in La Pineda and Salou I have to rank it number 1 for us. From the smiling staff at reception, dining room, cleaning and bar who always made you feel welcome it was a pleasure to stay with them. The bedroom was well presented with spacious bathroom and balcony and cleaned daily The food was lovely with a wide range of choice. I can honestly say that I never had anything on my plate that I did not like.If you go down in the last few minutes of breakfast or dinner you are going to get chaos in any hotel. Dinner is served late enough which enabled us to take some trips and still get back in time for it to relax and enjoy.. We had stayed in August when hotel was at the peak of season and I had the review partly drafted but after reading some of the latest reviews in Sept./Oct. i felt I had to finish it in support of the hotel. Our only problem was with our fellow guests who insisted in reserving the sunbeds around the pool. This was one rule that they were asked to obey and they choose not to. It was sad to come down for an early breakfast to see a queue of people waiting to grab a lounger when the door to pool was opened. Of course some of these then came back into dining room for their breakfast happy with themselves. Sad.The hotel also has to enforce the rule for their obliging guests. We would be happy to return in the near future as I am sure we would enjoy it. A Big Thank You to ALL the staff who made our stay Excellent and not forgetting your dining room Manager/ Manageress for the High-Five when the OH paid for the drinks on the last evening!!!!!!!!More

Have just returned from a weeks break from Salou in Spain staying at the Salauris Palace on a full board option. The hotel is set back from the main town, but only a 10 to 15 minute stroll to the main town and beach. we had a lovely stay with a room on the top floor with a great view of the theme park which is only a 5 minute walk away. reading some other reviews some people had complaints with the service of food, but we found no problems while we were there. there was always plenty on other and when you consider they after cater for a wide variety of nationals then they did a very good job. We found the staff helpful and the bar prices were reasonable. all in all not a bad hotel, could do with a little TLC in places but given the hotel caters for hundreds of people week in week out we can only say we enjoyed are stay and would return if we came back for another break.More

Lovely stay but...

Just returned from a 7 night stay with my fiancé, my best friend and her partner at this hotel. Like the title says it was a lovely stay and having stayed at the H10 Conquistador in Tenerife (which we loved) before, we chose this hotel in part because it was from the same chain. The main two reasons we felt let this hotel down for us (personally mind you as I can see why the hotel has had so many good reviews) was the bedroom we were allocated in and the variety of food. Firstly because we originally booked for just me, my partner and my friend we were allocated a family room. I work as a hotel Receptionist and so in my personal opinion a family room consists of at least one double bed...this was not the case as the 'double' bed was actually two singles pushed together which can be uncomfortable and unsafe if like me you move around at night. Another thing was that whilst we had a lovely room with a balcony facing the front of the hotel (which is better because you can see the surrounding area rather than just the hotel opposite and you can see fireworks from the theme park at night), sadly our balcony door lock was broken so it stayed unlocked all the time. Not a huge problem in terms of belongings because as previously mentioned they provide a small safe free of charge so this is just a minor detail and so we didn't raise a complaint. Finally paper thin walls is a huge problem at this hotel and we were often kept up by the people in rooms around us who have clearly never learnt how to pick up furniture and so just dragged it around, people taking very late showers and one night we could hear word for word the news being read on next doors' TV! Our friend's partner booked after us and was given a double room on the floor above us so my friend moved to this room with him. They too experienced the loud noises especially on one night where they were woken up at like 2am by someone banging on the door next door and yelling "Claire" before being let in. Working in hotels I know that it isn't the hotel staff's fault that people can't conduct themselves in an acceptable manner but please be warned if you're a light sleeper as you will not get much sleep! Secondly as I said the food was a let down for us personally. Don't get me wrong as there was plenty of food especially at the start of the week but towards the end of the week as the season came to a close and the hotel got quieter, they seemed to put out the absolute minimum that they could get away with. This was a bit of a fail as it meant the variety of food wasn't great especially for the rest of my party as they are big on trying different types of food and often ended up having the same thing for at least three nights in a row. I am a fussy foodie and will only really eaten plain foods and so tend to just eat from children's buffet as I don't eat big portions either, therefore I was very disappointed that for the last few nights there was no section for this!? Don't get me wrong the quality of the food was lovely and the service from all the restaurant and bar staff was impeccable, friendly and efficient. Staff are the best asset of this hotel I would say. Couple of minor things; please be aware there is a local room tax which we were not at all aware of until we checked in and were told we had to pay €28 for the four of us. Just felt a bit swindled as we had no previous notice of this!? If it's a genuine local policy that's understandable but would have been nice to have been made aware! Also it's a shame that people are free to smoke around the pool. I know you can't make the outdoors non-smoking however as a non smoker I felt that it's just a bit inconsiderate as I've not been given a choice in whether I wish to breathe in second hand smoke or not!? Also it wasn't nice as there were children always around so felt it was unfair to them. However that's a personal gripe of mine. Also the hotel exterior could do with a bit of painting as there were dirty marks all over it and so didn't look as fresh as the interior. Just needs a bit of TLC I think. In terms of Salou a lovely area but just a bit quiet especially at the end of the season so not sure we will return to this area. That being said our friend did take day trips to both Andorra and Tarragona so there is plenty to do if you're more in to that than me and my partner were. Overall as I said before a lovely place don't get me's just that I felt a little let down by the quality of it. Sorry this was a long one.More
