This place gives you a trio of pools to choose from. And you’re only a short walk from the beach.
This place has a trio of pools, including a big lagoon number. There’s also a large buffet restaurant and a lounge bar that hosts nightly live entertainment like cabaret. The luxury spa rounds things off.
It’s less than 15 minutes’ walk to Playa Capellans Beach, while Levante Beach is even closer. And while it’s a 10-minute walk to the main strip, there are bars and restaurants just outside the door.
The hotel runs the club for ages 3 to 12 years. Whatever your little ones are into they'll be well entertained here. There's art, sports, games and films during the day. And the fun continues into the evening with shows, face painting and a mini-disco.
We stayed at the Golden Port Hotel for 10 nights in September with our 4 year old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
The hotel is clean and well kept and the staff are always busy attending to the needs of the guests. The rooms are a little small but are comfortable enough with spacious balconies. The rooms are clean and include a mini fridge and safety deposit box (which you have to pay quite heavily to use!). The cleaning staff are brilliant and clean to an excellent standard, giving you clean towels daily and clean bedding every three days. If you have small children, I'd recommend requesting a room away from the elevators. Our room was directly opposite which resulted in many disturbed nights as late nighters rumbled back to their room. It disturbed our sleeping daughter most nights.
The restaurant staff are fantiastic. Javier and Antonio who greet you are very friendly and created good banter with our little girl. They always remembered our names (which is amazing in a hotel with over 700 rooms!) and greeted us cheerfully and often with a lot of humour. The waiting staff are always busy, making sure tables are cleared promptly so that guests can help themselves to seconds from the buffet.
The pool area was very clean and well kept and the bar staff were constantly clearing away glasses and plates to keep the area tidy and presentable. The pool was freezing(!) but it didn't seem to deter our daughter and I assume that it is warmer earlier on in the year. There is also the indoor pool to use.
We never did any of the daytime activities but the evening activities were brilliant. Our daughter loved the face painting and balloon animals. The mini disco was a big hit too and my husband and I even found ourselves singing the songs on our return flight!
The hotels locations is brilliant. Just a short walk to the beach front along some lovely shop lined streets.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate at recommending this hotel. We had a lovely time but it was just a shame that our room was in a noisy location. This isn't the hotels fault at all and we could have requested a change if it had been a bigger problem. We would love to return again some day.More

Pleasant Return Visit
We have just returned from a 10 night, half board stay at this hotel. We previously stayed here in September 2014, booked with Thomson Holidays. We booked through the hotel direct this time, choosing to pay extra for a pool view room. Additional benefits are no tourist tax to pay on check in, 2 free spa tickets and 2 free drinks.
Nothing had changed from our previous stay. The food was varied and delicious. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed too and bedding every three days. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Some even remembered us from the previous year and some returning guests too.
The issues still with this hotel are as mentioned last year. The sun beds need re canvassing or replacing, the trees need lopping back to provide more sunny positions. We were allocated a lovely high room but unfortunately, due to the very thin walls we were very aware of the Russian family with a baby that were next door. Babies wake at night and people snore!!
We did not partake of either the daytime or the evening entertainment, preferring to sample the other pubs and bars in town.
We would recommend this hotel if you are not seeking luxury but a good base to embrace Salou's delights.

All staff very friendly and helpful, and all work hard.
Food was excellent always something fr everyone, and presented beautifully.
I would say be careful when leaving hotel as pavements are very uneven and you have to be careful.More

Just returned from a 10 night stay. The hotel is really nice. Room was always clean with fresh towels everyday the maids do a really good job. All pool areas are really nice but could do with updating the sun loungers has they are really uncomfortable. The room itself was small but cos they was only two of us it was okay. Bad points are that the food was so repetitive burgers and hotdogs nearly everyday. Then they was chips, onion rings and lots of seafood like paella, crab claws etc. Glad I didn't go all inclusive cos I would have been disappointed paying out a lot of money for that. Drinks are cheap enough at the bar. We always went there but the entertainment was boring but it's same everywhere you go. Most of the staff are really nice only people what put me about was the waitresses they always looked miserable and they was sat talking at the side of us whilst we was eating was awkward. Beach is only a 10 min walk away and the main strip which is ideal. The hotel is good value for money but I don't think it's a 4 start is say 3. Although I enjoyed the holiday I wouldn't visit this hotel again. More
