AMAZING - WE WILL RETURN
This is a fantastic hotel i really enjoyed our stay. we traveled as a party of 9 staying for 14 nights. Could not fault this hotel at all. Short transfer to the hotel, very clean and spacious rooms, maid service is great. I am the pickiest eater in the world and thought the food was fantastic better than any other hotel i have ever stayed in all inclusive. Something different every night including chicken kebab! restaurant staff were lovely. The pool area was very good and clean and always plenty of sunbeds no matter what time you went. inflatables allowed in the pool made for great fun. the main thing we loved about this hotel was the entertainment team. Israel is the an asset to the hotel he really is amazing. Prize bingo every night was a great laugh followed by kids disco and then a varied entertainment programme. We will definitely become regulars at this hotel and have already started the booking process for next year. Wish we could pick this hotel up and move it around other destinations as we want to explore but no we will not find a hotel as good. Big thank you to Alexsandra too my kids loved her and Israel aside she is definitely the most cheerful friendly member of the animation team :)More
not worth the money
I have just returned from a 7 day visit to this hotel and I feel it is definitely not worth the 4 stars. Myself and my boyfriend decided to go all inclusive, and found that the snack bar and bar itself was okay. the food from the sick bar would sometimes come out cold and the staff at the bar would walk past you and serve others customers that had just arrived at the bar before yourself. the dinning room was very old still and the food was not very nice many nice they was food from lunch and even the day before. I had left a dessert where there was strawberries and cream and noticed that all the strawberries were bad, I had notice that there where many strawberries from the lunch before where like this and the chef more than likely cut them up and covered them to get rid of them. food most night especially the chicken drumsticks where all under cooked and it was pink till the centre. when booking this holiday we were told that there was a wide range of food for everyone as my boyfriend is very picky. every lunch and dinner there was 2 different types of fish and very little of anything else. only the hot food had labels to tell you what it was and some nights not even just what meat was in it. no indications of what the desserts where. staff where very slow and cleaning tables and very rude. one night I waited for 15 minutes till I was able to order any type of drinks. are room was cleaned but it was okay fresh towels everyday. are shower leaked every time it was used. the first 10 minutes we had arrived we sat next to a man at the bar and he said this is not a 4 star hotel which did not reassure us at all. this hotel is aimed more for a family than anything else. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MANT PEOPLE SAID THEY WOULD NOT BE BACK!!More
Overall a really good hotel. Rooms nice with good blackout curtains and noise insulation. Buffet meals very good quality with friendly, helpful staff. Nice location with about 10-15min walk to centre of town or beach but you won't need it as there are 3 main pool areas (one indoor) and two smaller kids pools. Didn't try evening entertainment as child always in bed by that time. Daughter also too young for kids club so can't comment, although she did enjoy the mini disco. Only gripes: 1. Maid service was a quick tidy up rather than a thorough cleaning of the room 2. Kids play area was small and in need of some maintenance. Also under trees so inevitably bird droppings. Looks like area is cleaned each day but the birds don't leave it that way for long.More

My partner and I have just returned from 7 nights at the golden port salou. It was a very clean hotel. Room was clean every day. All staff were very friendly, especially the reception staff. We had book tickets for the motogp race at the circuit de Barcelona-catalunya outside montmelò without realising it was quite as far away from salou as it is, but when we asked at reception about trains to montmelò they spend a good 30 mins researching all the different options for us (printing off timetables and such). We never had any problems find something to eat, there was plenty of choice at all meal times. More
A GOOD HOLLIDAY WEEK
I was with my family at the hotel golden. Recepción and bar very good, staff very friendly. The rooms were clean. The dinning room is the best, the two maitres very nice and the waitress very friendly always had a smile. But the short-haired blonde waitress was very rude. She was taking us to the table in bad shape. The food is excellent. I hope to come back next year.More
