Hotel Belvedere

A great pool and buffet restaurant makes this place stand out from the crowd. Plus, the beach is just a stroll away.

The Belvedere comes with a big main pool. It scores highly on the food front, too, with a poolside snack bar and an international buffet restaurant. At night, the bar hosts bingo and live shows.

The centre of Salou is just a 10-minute walk down the road – you’ll find a sandy beach, and a host of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s the same time to PortAventura, Spain’s number one theme park.

Excellent family holiday

My husband, son (10 year old) and I had a great week here. Food and service in the restaurant was outstanding. The animation team worked tirelessly to provide entertainment from 10 am until 11 pm. Our son made many friends and was never bored. The beach and Portaventura are short walks away. If you're a snob then you may quibble over minor issues but I strongly recommend this hotel. We had a fantastic time and like others have stayed in 4 & 5 star and luxury hotels previously; The Belvedere is more like a 4 star except for the room itself. I've never written a holiday review before but felt I had to this time. I was worried prior to our holiday because of some negative reviews - don't worry though you will be happy. More

Smelly toilets

Just back from one week stay . Reception on arrival did not have low floor as requested then after short protest suddenly had one available . Rooms small not much storage and toilet smelly . Bar and pool staff only plus side all very good and friendly. Toilets next to restaurant were disgusting and brought up with rep. Won't rush back!!More

Just returned after spending three weeks there. The rooms were very clean, and the staff excellent at their jobs. The poolside staff running the drinks and snack bar were great, as well as the restaurant team. The food was fantastic and agree the Belvedere is short changed being rated 3 stars, should be more. The pool area was good, mind you some people were up early with their towels to pick their spot. The only issue was when there was a problem with my mobile phone and had to use the room phone, the blonde receptionist Katazyna was most unhelpful and found it amusing when i had a problem, but when her counter part Marie Jose tried to help Katazyna thought this was also amusing as well ( she could better with her attitude, not the person to go to if you have a problem). The manager stepped in to help and was excellent, within 5 mins had resolved my issue. Other than this slight hiccup I would still recommend this Hotel and still give 5 stars no less than it deserves. Well done Hotel Belvedere .More

Happy holidays

Just returned from a week at the Belvedere. been in many 3 star hotels in Spain and wondered how they got them but this was so different . on arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful receptionists the reception area was clean and bright. I was still sceptical as sometimes the reception area doesn't always represent the rest of the hotel. But the corridors were clean and well maintained. (Stayed in block 2 ) the room was nice clean not that big but we had two double beds . Plenty of storage Bathroom large with bath and shower very clean maids came every day. Changed towels room always cleaned well all very friendly and said hello when you saw them. All the bar staff were very friendly always smiling and chatty . The entertainment wasn't really to our taste but the entertainment staff work their socks off . The daytime entertainment was good water polo , inflatable slide twice aqua aerobics paella demo fruit art . The kids loved the mini disco . prices of drinks were just above uk I'd say I expected nothing else . the pool and outdoor area were clean plenty of sunbeds but a little crowded around the pool but there is plenty of space round the bar area to sun bathe. the security gaurd I think he was came to my rescue when I was struggling with the computer very helpful guy. I visited reception a few times and they were very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble. The dining room was very large and clean even if there was a queue to get in you didn't have to wait long . The staff worked hard at clearing tables and quickly took drink order's. The men who greeted us where always very pleasant and happy worked hard to get everyone seated . The food was far beyond my expectations. There was so much choice and found it all good quality lots of it cooked to order which can cause a queue but it's worth the wait. I was so impressed with the food and everyone I spoke to said the same. It was very well presented and something you dont usually find in spain it was warm enough and restocked regularly The hotel is in a good position close to portaventura and a little walk into the town but I liked that close enough but out of the hussle and bustle of the centre. All round a great hotel would definitely return and recommend this hotel More
