A great pool and buffet restaurant makes this place stand out from the crowd. Plus, the beach is just a stroll away.
The Belvedere comes with a big main pool. It scores highly on the food front, too, with a poolside snack bar and an international buffet restaurant. At night, the bar hosts bingo and live shows.
The centre of Salou is just a 10-minute walk down the road – you’ll find a sandy beach, and a host of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s the same time to PortAventura, Spain’s number one theme park.

Good hotel for those keeping a budget
I travelled to this hotel for the first week in August. The expectations were high as it had a lot of great reviews. I wasn't let down and enjoyed my stay. I'm going to break down this review into easily digestible chunks. I travelled with my parents, step sister and my 2 nieces. Welcome. The reception when we first arrived was busy, but it's a big hotel and people are coming and going as it was 2pm. We were seen within minutes and given our room keys and board passes. Rooms. The rooms were good, the decor was fresh and the rooms were clean. It's basic, as it's a 3* hotel so their were the essentials and nothing more. The beds were comfy and the free air conditioning was a great bonus. The maids were very attentive and always happy to help fish extra towels or pillows. The safe was extra and you can get a lock from reception. There is a fridge also to keep drinks cool, which was a god send! One tip that I was told by one of the staff is that the electricity key holder isn't active and you can use any credit card sized card to keep the electricity on. Keeping the air con running to keep the room cool. We purchased a super deal and 3 people were allocated to a twin room so the hotel were happy to take a bed from one of our rooms to put it in the other. Restaurant The board basis we chose was half board. We had breakfast and dinner included. If we wanted to we could trade a meal and have lunch instead. This was great if you are to go out in the evening or have a longer day say at PortAventura. The food was good, there was a good choice to choose from and we were presented with a great mix of home comforts to something more adventurous. The themed nights were a little on the low side. We had an Italian night which was exceptional. The food descriptions can be funny, they have definitely been inventive if they don't know what to call something in English. Drinks are priced at extra at lunch and dinner but are reasonable. Facilities The hotel has a wide range of facilities including an outdoor pool, indoor pool complete with jacuzzi, cafeteria, outdoor bar, gift shop, and lots of games to choose from. The jacuzzi although I didn't use it myself, was told that it was quite larger than was expected. The sunbeds are in demand in this hotel and it can be a hit or miss as to whether you get one or not. Animation The animation team are excellent, the kids entertainment was of good quality, although can be repetitive as some nights they do the same routine. But that's what kids like. The adult shows at 10pm are amazing. The quality is on par with other hotels, we saw the aloha show and the Loro/Parrot show. They were great and have a lasting memory to enjoy. There are select activities for the kids during the day but we didn't try them as we were normally either chilling around the pool or out the hotel on excursions. So this is Ohtels Belvedere. A great 3* hotel with a good location in Salou. I would recommend you stay here if you are a family seeking a great value packed holiday. You wouldn't be disappointed.More
Lovely Staff and Nice Hotel
I have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. Firstly if you want 5*, then book and pay for 5*. This is 3*, and in my opinion, was what I would expect from a decent 3* hotel. In general I was pleasantly surprised having read some rather mixed reviews. Firstly, all of the staff in every possible job were wonderful, very helpful, polite and always managed a smile too. The food was good with a good variety and choice each morning and evening. There is always soup and a standard type of meat and potatoes and veg, so that you could make a 'roast' type meal, loads of fresh salad, Pizza, chips, Pasta, fish plus lots other food to choose from. They also have some nice 'Theme Nights' where there are the usual options plus an extra. I really don't see that it can be possible to not find something to suit even the most fussy eater. There is always fresh fruit, Ice cream and a variety of other sweets. Loads of choice for breakfast too, including omlettes and pancakes cooked to order. The room is a little on the small side for 4 people, but we didn't spend that much time in it, so we managed fine. There is a fridge & hairdryer, Shower gel is provided through a dispenser above the bath which i believe is topped up as required. The room was cleaned every day and the towels changed. I was a little disappointed that the bedding was not changed until after our 8th night, as we were there for 10 nights, we would have expected it yo be changed half way through our stay. The Air con was good and worked well but did seem to be a bit on the noisy side. The Pool, well, mixed feelings on that....... I think it would be helpful if the hotel could be a bit more pro-active on the sunbed situation. By 7 am in the morning, all of the sun beds would have towels on them even though the pool didn't even open until a couple of hours later. I have been to hotels previously where if beds remained unused for over 30 mins a note was put on them saying that the towel would be removed 15 mins later. It did stop some of the nonsense of people reserving sun beds for an entire day when they weren't using them. I don't think that the pool is really big enough for the number of guests using it in high season. When we arrived i thought the pool water looked clean and fresh, but to be honest, by the time we left, I thought the water was looking a bit murky and not very clear. The area around the pool was cleaned up each evening by the staff, but why the guests cant throw their own rubbish in the bins provided I will never understand. In general this is a good hotel with wonderful hard working staff. My only real complaint would be the toilets by the restaurant. Even though they were cleaned regularly, the smell was awful. I don't know if it was a plumbing or sewage problem, but it really was quite horrible and was the same for all of our stay. Plenty to do in the area around Salou and about a 10 min walk to the beach. Thank you to all of the lovely staff, we had a great holiday here. I hope the management appreciate their hard working staff.More

A Holiday is what you make it
We had a great holiday at the belvedere because we made it what we wanted it to be . This hotel is a good , it is what is says on the tin , a 3 star hotel and it's worth of its stars . It's a good budget family hotel for a single parent like me taking my two children on holiday . Affording 4 and 5 star luxury is not in our budget . We chose this hotel for two main reasons. It was in close walking distance of the beach and main area if salou and also very close to Porteventura and Costa Caribe water park. When looking for a holiday the location was important for what we wanted to do and this hotel was perfect for that. The room we had in the hotel was basic and small but it had all we need and was kept clean on a daily basis , the cleaners were always very polite when you passed them in the corridors and we always had fresh towels. I can see that the room would of been small for a family if 4 but as there was only 3 of us it was fine. There was a fridge in the room which was a godsend as we would buy drinks for the room from one of the many small supermarkets near by . The staff on reception were always polite . On two occasions we asked if we could swap dinner and have lunch instead ( we were half board ) and this was sorted out for us , all we had to do was let them know before 7 the day before. This meant that the days we went out to porteventura we were able to have lunch before we went and saved us a little money on food whilst out . The entertainment was a bit hit and miss , but this didn't bother us . We stuck around for the kids disco most nights and then had a wander into salou afterwards so didn't always watch what was on later . Music etc and the bar finished at 12 and it was generally quiet after that . There was never any pressure to buy drinks from the bar outside which we did on some occasions and not on others . It was table service and the waiters were very polite even if you said you didn't want a drink at that time. The food in the restaurant was very good . I'm not sure why some people have complained about it , there was something for everyone and lots if it . I think you could only complain if you were a fussy eater as there was a lot of choice Breakfast was great you could have omelettes , pancakes and fried eggs cooked to order and there was plenty off hot food plus pastures , croissants, toast , churros etc .Also fruit and yoghurt . Fruit juice and coffee /tea/milk were included at breakfast but at other meals you had to pay . We just tended to have a large bottle of water at dinner which was 2.20euros. The restaurant was always busy and we often had to queue to get in which lots of people moaned about but the hotel was very busy as to be expected at the height of the season. One of the things that lets the hotel down is that the pool is not big enough for the amount of guests it gets in the summer and there were not enough sunbeds. People were getting up at 6.30 am to put towels on sunbeds to make sure they had a space and they were packed in tight around the pool so you were almost on top of the person next to you. However we didn't get up that early and usually managed to get a sunbed around 9 am from the very few that were left and we put ours just outside the pool area which was fine for us as both my boys are confident enough swimmers and old enough to go in the pool themselves but I can see it would of been a problem for families with younger children. The kids club was on every morning . My youngest enjoyed going to this and the staff worked hard . There was always something going on Often there was a big inflatable slide for the pool and games for adults and children. Overall a holiday is what you make it . It is a 3 star hotel , that's what you are paying for , if you want 4 star go 4star , dont expect a 3 star to match up . I think for a budget family holiday it is a good hotel and Salou is a lovely family friendly resort.More
Our own private swimming pool!!
It's a Shame I need to write something negative as we have just returned from a great holiday. First I would say that this hotel is in a very good location for portaventura, the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel facilities are spot on with entertainment day and night. The food is also good here for breakfast and dinner. There is a shop in house with reasonable prices for most of your needs which is also good. The rooms are a bit small and not the cleanest. We had an issue that brought me to leave a review. The first morning of waking up we had a lot of water on the floor which had leaked down from the air con, I mentioned it to the lady on reception and without looking too concerned she did type in on her system to update the technical staff. The same happened again the following night so I went to reception and told the same lady that it's still happening, I told her it needs fixing incase my pregnant wife or young son slips on the water or incase it causes an electrical fault as it was also leaking down the wall on to the light switches. When I mentioned it on the second day I said I'd need a different room if it doesn't get fixed to which she laughed and said there is no other rooms (understandable but just get it fixed!). The leak continued all week until our last night when my son slipped on the water from it on the floor. It was only then they had it fixed, offered me a new room and a free meal (fair play) but too late as we were leaving first thing the next morning. The water lines you see on the door and alcove were there when we arrived so it had obviously been like this for a while. The manager was in the end apologetic my problem lies with the receptionist who failed to make sure it was sorted on two occasions only for my son to slip luckily un injured.More
I wish to commend all the hotel staff especially the kitchen and dining room staff. This is the first time I have gone Half board in a hotel for many many years as I prefer to be more independent and choose where I eat. But this year was different as I'm a single parent entertaining a 6 year old boy. To say that the food was made on mass it was excellent! The variety and quality was very high for a 3*. My boy loved the mini disco and family entertainment, although I did find it a little boring and at times long winded & poor (sorry ! But it was very amateurish). Others might like it but I didn't. The foam party for the kids was great. Hotel is in a great location for the beach shops and port adventura. Airport return journey only took 15 mins as we where the last pickup. Soooo close to Reus airport. Great if you have young ones. I would certainly recommend the hotel. More
