H10 Vintage Salou

Loading

This smart-looking place is in a really central part of town, ideal for the beach, cafés, and bars. Back at the hotel, the main pool comes with a separate children's zone. An al fresco cocktail bar and an international buffet restaurant are on hand, too.

Right in the heart of Salou, this hotel used be called the H10 Europa Park and is in a prime position for shops, bars and restaurants. It’s also less than a 5-minute walk to the beach. Even PortAventura Park is within walking distance – just 15 minutes away, although there are regular buses to get you there and back.

As for the hotel itself, it’s fairly low-rise with a Mediterranean feel that blends modern and classic design. It has been really spruced up and refurbished, and reviews from TripAdvisor are always glowing about how clean this place is.

Up in the bedrooms, meanwhile, you'll find bright, modern spaces. Whitewashed walls stand out against chunky dark wooden furniture. Bedside tables and lamps have splashes of fuchsia or lime for a pop of colour. And the finishing touch - plasma TVs.

The sun terrace features 2 swimming pools – one for adults and another for little ones. The children's one boasts a mushroom-shaped fountain.

The restaurant is a serve-yourself affair, with a selection of international dishes on offer. Evenings see on-the-spot cooking stations with a different grill or carvery each night. For pre-dinner cocktails head for the bar which has a covered terrace by the pool.

Fab Stay Again

This was our third visit to the H10 Vintage Salou and the best so far. There is nothing to complain about at this hotel and i find it staggering that anyone can complain about the food! I am a pescetarian and have never had any problems, there is always plenty of fish and meats to choose from, vegetables, salads, cheese and cold meats. There is a huge choice for breakfast too. I find it hard to understand how anyone can say there is not enough choice and in the past have read about how foreign guest are mainly catered for! That is because there are a lot of different nationalities staying at the hotel so if you want British food and nothing but British food then don't bother going to Salou full stop, go to Benidorm instead!! The bar staff couldn't do enough for you and were always polite and friendly as were the staff on reception. The only issue we had was that on the second day our room wasn't cleaned so when i asked at reception i was told it would be sorted, no apology given and when we got back the room later that day the towels had just been thrown into the bidet which was a little unprofessional. The rooms are comfortable with large beds. We were at the end of the corridor and it was extremely quiet, no noise heard from next door. The only issue, and this is a very minor issue, with the room was that it was a little dusty in the wardrobe door but this is more of an issue with the design of them as they must be very difficult to clean, but this should have been thought of. before installation. The space in between the bath and the sink was quite a tight squeeze, cannot remember it being that tight in the past so may well have been because we were at the end of the corridor. To summarize, this is a fab hotel in a great location for the beach, beachfront bars and restaurants, and the food is great so don't be put off by some of the ridiculous reviews on here slating the lack of choice!!!! We have already booked to return next year.More

If you like sleep don't stay here

We are absolutely gutted about our stay at this hotel - it almost ruined our whole holiday. First impressions of the hotel were positive; the lobby is very impressive and the sofas extremely comfortable! We knew about the check-in time of 2pm so that was fine. However, our room wasn't ready at 2 so we did have to wait longer - again we didn't mind this, although, straight away on walking into our room we knew it had been quickly rushed to finish cleaning it as the floor and all the mirrors were quite dirty. By this point, however, we were so tired from a early flight we didn't tell reception so we can't really complain much! Apart from that, the room was ok, a little small but the bathroom was very nice, and despite hard beds they actually were quite comfortable. However, it was in the evenings that the problems were clear! The walls are paper-thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. We noted that many reviews on here said this before we went, but on seeing how many good reviews there were we chose to ignore this, if only we hadn't. We had a room that backed onto the cleaners cupboard and so was also quite close to the stairs and lift, this meant that whilst you could hear most people coming back to their room past midnight, it was the cleaners room that caused the problems - every morning it sounded like the cleaners were going to fall through the wall, there was no chance of even an hours lie-in once they had arrived. After 3 nights of falling asleep extremely late and waking early we'd had enough. So asked to move to a quieter room and without a problem we were offered a room further down the corridor. On this occasion the staff (the older gentleman and the young man) didn't questioned it and were very good (we did notice that we weren't the only ones who moved whilst we were staying there!). However, unfortunately the second room was worse as the people above us and to the right of us were SO loud. After another sleepness night and feeling rubbish I'd had enough so went downstairs to ask to move again. We spoke to a youngish man who was quite abrupt and rude. On asking why we wanted to move he said that our reasons were not valid, especially as we had not told the reception in the night. True we didn't, so accepted that. However, it was the fact that he said that he wouldn't move us because it would not be fair on the next people who then had that room, as they would then have the noise, that annoyed us. I'm sorry but we paid a lot for the hotel and had so far had very little sleep and were visibly exhausted, yet were disregarded for a guest who had yet to arrive. I was so upset and if I could would have gone home then. Whilst we realise noise was not a problem for everyone, my partner is especially a deep sleeper and he also had so little sleep he didn't want to be there anymore. This is not what you expect when you work hard all year for a holiday and spend a lot of money, to only feel more tired after the holiday then before you left. We wanted a jam-packed holiday with lots of memories, but instead we spent most days sleeping in our room trying to catch up on what sleep we lost at night! The hotel is set close to everything, (actually it's in a brilliant location) but not too bad in terms of noise from the resort. The road didn't bother us, not even the bins did as they were there and then gone again quite quickly. The bar staff were brilliant and the cleaner of our second room was so thorough and polite. However, quite clearly we would never return to this hotel or a H10 hotel again and waste our hard-earned cash.More

Sinead c,

Lovely hotel but not for gourmets

Well refurbished boutique style hotel in central salou. 10 minutes walk to beaches Reception and lobby gorgeous with great big squishy sofas and chairs. All mismatched in the modern style. Only a small pool but plenty of sun beds and one big plus was that nobody saved them! Unknown! My single room was small but perfectly formed. Fairly hard bed but comfy. Enormous wardrobes and drawers. A little dark because of the dark decor and lack of a big light. Bathroom big enough. All spotlessly clean. Balcony tiny. Only just room for the two chairs and tiny coffee table. Drinks prices were excellent for a hotel. €6 for the strongest half litre of sangria cava I've tasted. Yummy Restaurant was a let down. Not a huge choice and dish of the day one day was a donor kebab! Mainly pasta. Not much in the way of meat. Mostly salads. Typical breakfasts with freshly cooked eggs and pancakes if u wanted. Wouldn't class food as 4*. I stayed 4 nights and ate out on the last 3 Downside was no wifi in rooms although it was free in lobby and pool area and restaurant. safe key was only charged at a €10 returnable deposit which was excellent. My room was unfortunately next to the lift shaft so fairly noisy Apart from this I would recommend the hotel. My advice would be get room only as there are many good places to eat in salouMore

Beautiful decor and lovely staff

First impressions of the hotel was brilliant. The decor is very modern with a large lobby with plenty of seating. We were checked in swiftly, however the only drawback of this hotel was the woman who checked us in, we wanted to put a deposit down for use of the safe in the rooms (€10), however she declined to do so as she wanted to deal with the rest of the guests. I understood this, however she was short and slightly rude about it.. The rooms are spacious, clean and bright. The beds are large and comfortable. We had a room facing the back of the building, and it was very quiet. We would have loved a pool view room, however had to pay extra. The food served in the restaurant was spot on. A wide selection for breakfast and dinner, catering for a wide variety of nationalities. Pool area was great with a large number of sun loungers, however you need to get one quickly in the mornings as they go fast. The pool is small and very popular with kids so puts you off a bit going in. The staff were brilliant and very hard working. They were very friendly and could not fault them one bit! Free wifi in the lounge/lobby and pool area is a big plus!! Would definitely recommend this hotel, seemed like the best one in Salou! Would stay here again in the future! More
