Love this hotel, great location. Food very good, staff friendly and helpful. Dining room very busy at dinner, lots of children being entertained with iPads playing Peppa Pig loudly and people coming for dinner inappropriately dressed straight from the beach. Will be returning next year a bit later to avoid the crowds More
We were there in September had a lovely time. We were half board food was very good.people are very friendly. We can also travel from our home town Aberdeen. We hope to return next year. You don,t have to stay in for meals there are plenty eating and drinking places near by.More
Booked this trip with my mates for a late getaway, we arrived into a very very nice reception/ open plan seating area which was a healthy size! We booked the Quadruple Room which consisted of a large room with 2 double beds and 2 single beds and a large balcony (inland facing). We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel decor, which was very smart, clean and contemporary. We were on Half Board which was a choice of two meals a day (standard really). The food was average-good, with a buffet style layout and a wide variety of choices. The staff were very nice and always said hello and did well to keep our room clean everyday ha! The hotel is excellently located, just a 5 minute walk from the seafront, shops and nightlife which was well visiting by us! I would recommend this hotel for all types of stays, families, friends or couples! The only negative I have with the hotel itself is the size of the pool, its quite small for the size of the hotel! Stayed here recently at this hotel. We had a room at the back of the hotel, facing a tree lined road, so we never got the sun. It was quite noisy at times as this is where the recycling bins were, and we were awakened at 4am one morning with these being emptied! The room itself was ok, nothing special. We had a small bathroom with a very good shower. The dining room opened at 8am, although by the time they checked your room card and you got in, it was more like 8.10am. The same thing happened for dinner, opening at 6.45pm (although sometimes not until 6.50pm) and then not getting through until about 7pm. There was always a large queue for both breakfast and dinner. The food was alright, but nothing special. I suppose it all depends on what you are used to. Yes there was the usual streaky bacon, eggs, beans etc for breakfast ....... They did do lovely croissants and pain au chocolat at breakfast times, freshly baked. Dinner was sometimes hit and miss - salads were good. There was chicken curry and fish fingers one night - not sure if this is 4 star hotel food? No problem getting a sun bed, although not very relaxing as the hotel is situated on a busy roundabout, so lots of traffic going past. We had a lovely holiday and the weather was great. Didn't find the staff particularly friendly I wouldn't return to Salou nor to this hotel. it was not to our taste.More
excellent hotel!!loved it!!
stayed here from the18th of sept until the 25th,on half board basis!! Room our room was on the 4th floor overlooking trees and a road, very quiet location and we were very happy with it!!very comfy extra large twin beds, ample wardrobe space, nice balcony with table and chairs,tv and air con,wi fi worked in our room, but could be a bit hit and miss, nice sized bathroom with everything you need, hairdryer provided.room was kept very clean by the very polite maids, who always said hello when they seen you!!towels changed whenever you need fresh ones just leave them in the bath!! RECEPTION AND STAFF Check in was quick and efficient, although our room wasnt avaiable until 2,they have a room you can leave your cases, and you can still use all the hotels facailites! Cannot fault any of the staff they were all very friendly and welcoming, from the maids,to reception staff, bar tenders, restuarant staff, chefs all just lovely!! RESTARAUNT AND FOOD Well what can i say the food was fab!!always something for every taste, breakfast consisted of mini ommelettes, fried eggs both freshly cook, some mornings pancakes or churros, porridge, diy toast, mushrooms, hash browns, beans, scambled eggs, cereals,an array of fresh fruit and mini crossaints, yogurts, fresh rolls, salami, meats, cheeses, pate, crackers, just fab!!coffee and tea where you help yourself, the only thing they could improve in my opinion is the fruit juice!!sometimes you had to wait for a table, but not very long, the staff all work very hard to ensure everything is cleared up asap!!loved being able to sit outside as well!! Evening meals were also very good, and varied every night, currys, homemade pies, lasagne, chicken, loads of fresh salads, again fruit and lots of nice puddings, brownies, trifle, tirramsu, just to mention a few and some evenings a chocolate fountain!!really cannot fault the food or any of the restuarant staff in any way!!and why some people complain about the food on here is beyond me!!!drinks are extra but again are very resonable, was paying just under 5 euros for 2 lagers!! POOL AREA AND HOTEL IN GENERAL Pool area kept very clean and tidy at all times, open from 9 until 7 and you can have drinks ordered at the bar bought to you,was a bit on the chilly side in the pool, but it was september so to be expected!!The hotel in general again is kept spotless,no complaints at all!!they do have entertainment every evening as well, this varies from singers to dancing,we didnt really see much of this as we are always of out in the evenings!! LOCATION Very good location,10 min walk to the beach area and restuarants, bars, shops etc, around a 15 min walk uphill to port aventura, nothing to far away, supermarket a min walk away!! The plana bus service is just fab for getting around and we loved salou, lots to see and do,dont miss a trip to barcelona, its an amazing place,we booked this at the plana office, very reliable! We had a fab time at the H10 vintage salou, and would not hesitate in staying here again next time we visit the area,a huge thanks to all the staff at the hotel,Marie and Wayne Hughes...More
