Hotel Golden Avenida Suites

The Hotel Golden Avenida pairs revamped rooms with easy access to the PortAventura theme park.

Location is key at the Hotel Golden Avenida Suites. They’re just a 10-minute stroll from sandy Llevant Beach and less than a 10-minute drive from PortAventura theme park.

The suites have had a makeover, so walls are freshly painted and furnishings are smart and polished. They come with all the essentials for a family base, too, like mini-fridges, sinks and microwaves.

And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times.

Fab time

We came with our four children and were delighted with the hotel , staff , food and weather was great apart from one day but didn't deter my kids from going in the pool ! The entertainment was brilliant for the children especially little ones with the games and Thomson the dog was a hit with my twins age 4 ! My older kids enjoyed themselves also 11 and 14 they enjoyed water polo and killer pool etc ! They said it was the best holiday ever so that's what it's all about ! The beach was beautiful just a short walk from the hotel . Great time had by all !. More

Nicola B,

peaceful week

Booking in was swift and pleasant as the reception staff are pleasant and helpful, Room , we were given a suite with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds . Very spacious and equipped with kettle and microwave , 2 televisions ( only 2 English channels) and a large balcony . Beds very hard but other than that we have absolutely no complaint about the room it was excellent . We went half board and both breakfast and evening meals were very good , large selection on offer and all well cooked . Dining room staff excellent Pool very cold and plenty of sunbeds only problem is you have to shuffle throughout the day to follow the sun Thomson entertainment team very good and lively We went at the end of the season and I think the hotel was only part full and it was lovely and peaceful but I would imagine in peak season when schools are off it would be a very noisy busy placeMore

We had a golden time at the Avenida....

Just got back from a week at the Golden Avenida. The hotel and staff bent backwards for us, we were given a spacious apartment with a kingsize bed and 2 single beds in the side room. We found the bed to be really hard too sleep on but the receptionist supplied us with a mattress topper that made the bed a little easier. The room had air conditioning which was a god send has we had 27 degree weather. Hotel was spotless throughout and totally organised especially when it came to dealing with problems. They washed and ironed our laundry for free when their public washing machine developed a problem. The dining room was superb with a vast amount of different meal choices, the food was perfectly cooked and we often went back up for seconds or even thirds Hotel 10/10 Staff 10/10 Food 10/10. The only thing I would say is do not book excursions through Thomson's, go into the resort to the PLANA kiosk. They do all the excursions for a quarter of the price I.e Barcelona day and night 21euros the Thomson reps tricked me into paying a 150 euro by saying that PLANA are no good!! they leave you stranded!! and have no guides!!. All this turned out to be untrue as we found out when on the excursion. Just be careful and save money by going down to PLANA. Overall really good holiday at a wonderful hotel. M ThompsonMore

This hotel was perfect. Spotless, food was fantastic the staff where very nice and helpful. Two hours from Barcelona. If you go to this hotel, I'm sure you will be very happy with it. You must do the football and fountains trip. The nou camp is a must see and the magic Fountain is to be seen, the crowd it pulls in is unbelievable.More

Great rooms

Golden avenida 326 end of corridor great! Good space, great blackout curtains but not much cutlery or crockery so we had to buy some plastic plates. I brought some fairy and sponge. We were on hb so went to the nearby supermarket to stock on groceries. No hob or freezer, just fridge, micro and sink. Food ok but not much variety, I have seen more food in other Thomson family resorts. There is no much option for vegetarian although they put one or two fish every time. They put lots of ham And shelfish in the salads but I spoke to the manager (Ana) who is great and said she was going to speak to the cooks so they could give us some proper options for us and they did! Kids club and entertainers good. Children loved to go together to drop in which is an extra kids club for all ages do my 3 and 6 year old could go together. Otherwise, there were different times for each of the age groups in the kids club. Resort is nice with plenty of people from different places and lots of families.More
