Great Staff, very much suited for younger children
Hotel in great location, the staff are lovely from the bar staff to restaurant (Ana) and cleaners. Cater brilliant for youngers children my kids are 10 and 13 wasn't as much to do for their age group. Bingo by the pool would have been nice for the adults. Went down to get sunbeds and could get a couple at ANY time. I feel the sunbeds that people are queing for are the ones beside the baby pool so they can keep a closer eye on their wee ones. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, can't complain. I had a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the road which didn't bother me and we don't sit on balcony however the noise is terrible. (not hotels fault) also the noise first thing in the morning as we where beside the lifts and cleaners station (Room 318). Not everyone wakens at 8 O'clock in the morning for breakfast I found myself sleeping in the kids bedrooms as the noise was awful. I can't however fault the hotel itself. Salou is great to take older kids ie waterparks, neu camp etc. I in future will stay in an apartment, hotels just aren't for me on holidays. You will enjoy but be sure to ask for a quiet room.More

Not As Good As Last Time
this was out 2nd time here as we visited 2013 and loved it. this year was not so good, room was cleaned less, floor was never cleaned, food was same each night with less choice as we previously had, although was a good selection just the same each night got boring. entertainment was also poor this year and less more so at night, very very sad as this hotel and its staff (not Thomson staff) work there fingers off. Thomson the dog was out less also, and hes the main event for kids so this was unfair 5/10mins at night if lucky we seen him. kids club and drop in are fab, the staff are so nice, welcoming and don't mind if your child has challenges. AS for beds by pool, doors open 8am but people start lining up at 7.30am. towels can be used from hotel at 10euro deposit and get this back once ur holiday is over, fresh towel each day, we found this better. we had pool side room an 6th floor so had no noise and stunning views. room 627, its a end room and was so quiet. We did the aquepolis water park and got 2nd day FREE, id advise you get a fast pass and skip the waiting as u can wait upto 1 hour for a ride, kids area and pool are great. over all our 2nd visit wasn't well as we had liked as was very run down from 2013, entertainment let it down and although kids have fun with Thomson and dance ect after 8.50/9.15pm its poor. we found ourselves going to the sister hotel (Golden port) one hotel down was far better. fully air con too. The reception staff are so lovely as is ana in the restaurant and bar staff, we found the hotels staff work so hard and are the only asset to the hotel, Thomson need to make this hotel better again as staff seem to get the blame but its a Thomson run family resort hotel. sadly we wont return unless entertainment changesMore

Great family hotel
Stayed here last week as part of a large family party. Great hotel- incredibly clean with a wide range of facilities and choice of pools. If you're staying here with children however bear in mind that in the evening the pools are not gated off. This can make things difficult if you have toddlers who do not like to sit still! There is a great park area but it is a shame it is so far away from the seating for parents. Overall it's a great place with fantastic staff who cannot do enough for you- especially the bar staff More
We stayed here for a week in June and it was one of the best holidays I was ever on. The staff were so nice and friendly. Theres a selection of 4 pools, a deep pool, a kids pool, a smaller kids pool which is on decking up and an indoor pool. There is a games room there too for kids. There is activities on through out the day for kids and there is also a kids club. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with children.More

Better than expected
I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel as we paid such a good price but we were pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was massive and our son had his own room which was great...it meant we had a sofa bed in the lounge which was so uncomfortable but one mention to reception and the maid put a mattress topper on and problem sorted! The cleaning was hit and miss but I appreciate they are very busy and they always made the beds and replaced the towels and the bathroom was clean which is enough for us. We went half board and found drinks very reasonably priced. Food was good with a big enough selection and we never struggled to find something delicious for dinner. Ana in the restaurant was lovely, she worked so hard and was great with all the children. Only downsides for us were more to do with the guests which is no fault of the hotel. The smoking around the pool was really bad and many times we had to leave which I personally don't like for a family hotel. Also the reserving of sun beds was hysterical, people queuing at 7.30am to put their towels out then half the beds would still there at lunchtime with the towels out and not being used. Also some families thought it acceptable to leave dirty nappies around the pool when they left....but as I said this says more about us Brits than the hotel itself! Overall we had a fab holiday.More
