With its tropical surroundings and man-made beach, the Hotel Caribe is less Spanish hotel, more Caribbean retreat. And if you stay here, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to PortAventura Park.
You can have second, third and fourth helpings of Spain’s biggest theme park when you stay at the Hotel Caribe. Not only is the hotel just a 5-minute walk from Portaventura, but unlimited access to the park – including entry to all of the rides and shows – is included in the price of your holiday.
The hotel has been built with the panache of a tropical island resort. Everywhere you look, glossy palm trees, tropical shrubs and thatched umbrellas remind you of the Caribbean. In the middle of all the greenery, there’s a vast lake, 2 giant swimming pools, and a man-made sandy beach – all connected by Polynesia-inspired wooden bridges.
There are 2 different room types to choose from. Standard rooms feature blueberry colour schemes and tiled floors. Upgrade to a stylish Club San Juan room, meanwhile, and you’ll get a chic four-poster bed, and the use of a concierge service, club restaurant and private pool.

All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, phone, mini-fridge and hairdryer. Standard rooms have 2 beds and 1 sofa bed suitable for 2 children or 1 adult. Rooms sleep a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 yrs. Double rooms available.

Club San Juan rooms are situated in an exclusive area. These have king-size or twin beds, flatscreen TV, DVD player, internet access, hydro-massage bath and separate shower. For years now, PortAventura Park has been wowing the world with its thrill-packed mix of white knuckle rides, glitzy shows and eye-popping fireworks. It’s got its own water park. And, hotels too. You can choose to stay at the Hotel PortAventura or the Caribbean-like Hotel Caribe - both of which include access to the Parks. Ride-wise, the Dragon Khan is certainly the star attraction, but there are plenty of other adrenaline-pumpers in the mix. Tutuki Splash which plunges from volcano to jungle river. We had initially booked to stay at the El Paso (as we had stayed there previously in 2009 and had a fantastic time), but we were moved to the Caribe prior to departure as the El Paso changed to an All Inclusive. The hotel itself was fantastic, clean... more on this review
