I booked up for two weeks with my 3 children and my partner, this was our first family holiday and I am writing this review back home when we should still be enjoying a family break but unfortunately this resort was so bad we've had to come home 5 days early I will bullet point the main problems I encountered, . As soon as you arrive you have to pay 7 euro per person for nothing then a 50 euro deposit. . Wifi is 25 euro per week and only works in the restraint area not in your own room. . Washing machine is 6 euro and my clothes were as dirty as they went in. . Have to pay for a safe. . Same entertainment constantly. . Room was absolutely filthy I nearly cried when I stripped the beds myself and saw the urine stains my children had been sleeping on. I actually have pictures of the room that would make you sick. . Everything is extortionate a lot dearer than back home. . Staff were ok I actually didn't blame them for being a bit mopey as the place was so bad. . All the bars and restaurants round about are run down and there's nothing to do in the area. . Pools are freezing . . People's children wondering about by themselves. . 3 incidents of men causing trouble fighting with their wives kicking doors and smashing things. And a to much more to even writeMore
Just recently returned home from staying a week at the sun club. Firstly we waited 2 hours until our room was ready we werent that bothered that we had to wait so we went to the bar and ordered some food. Food is pretty expensive, drinks are very over priced over €5 for vodka and lemonade and this was there local!! Rooms were clean and the beds were comfy enough, our room was fairly big it fitted at least 5 people and there was 4 of us. Negative was how thin the walls were some nights we could here next door rambling on early hours in the morning this was really annoying, Our balcony got the sun at tea time which was ideal we were facing pool view. Pool didnt get the sun till about 1pm and the pool was like ice throughout the day (should be heated) plenty of sunbeds and space. We never sunbathed around the pool you can go to the roof terrace which can have the sun all day views are amazing! (Adults only) Although theres some right snobs who thought we weren't adults when we were (sorry we looked a tad bit young!!) Bar area had plenty of seating, kids everywhere and the noise was unbelievable screaming and crying and running all over we thought going out of season there wouldn't be as many kids but there was! Recommend bingo as its a good laugh, good chances of winning also and everyone gets involved. Staff are lovely and friendly and help you with anything you need Shocking that the pool table was €2 and everywhere else was €1! Overall i would go back to sunclub when definitely out of season as it was quite noisy while we were there. More
Although I don't think it should be considered 4 star (more like 3,5), it is very nice. Good location, good breakfast, nice service. Even though there were many families with little children there, we didn't hear noise in the rooms. Good service, and the supermarket at the door is very useful.More
It sure what to say
Tough really as we paid 1580 for 2 weeks self catering in august school holidays so it's tough to complain really but there were faults. There's no doubt that it's noisy from 11pm till around 2ish with other guests landing up from the bar, and there's always the out of control kids who are running riot whilst their parents get pissed, they seem to enjoy knock and run at the early hours, The bar is a little pricey and so is the food but if you leave the hotel it's generally half the price elsewhere. Otherwise the reception staff and cleaners are great. Eating out is easy although every bars menus are all the same, a bit of everything for all tastes I guess, still it's dirt cheap, 5 of us including cocktails generally cost us €50-€60' so you can't go wrong at that. Listen realistically if you love quiet locations with beautiful inlet cove beaches then it's a must at the price and just ignore the hotel noise,More

Don't listen to bad reviews
Currently staying at Sunclub, been here 3 days so far. Love the hotel, so clean and tidy, food nice, bar staff friendly, reception very helpful. Upgraded to the drinks package for €15 a day, well worth it. Helps with my little boy for drinks and ice cream when he wants. Nice little kids play area, pools nice, little cold but bearable. Only downside we have is our room is right round the side of the hotel and gets no sun at all, which makes drying swim clothes and towels impossible, but if that is my only moan we have not done too bad. Snack menu good, not too pricey, fee restaurants round and about, but we eat in the hotel mainly. Kids entertainment is brilliant, Eddie the entertainer needs a knighthood or something! He is class. All good so far here at the SunclubMore
