Just returned from a 2 week holiday with my husband & 2 daughters. It's the 2nd year we have been to this hotel & it was amazing. The staff are all friendly and Eddie the kids entertainer is brilliant. The maid service is spot on and the hotel itself is always immaculate. We have just booked again for next year, wouldn't go anywhere else!More
enjoyed our stay
Just returned after a two week holiday with the family we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was more than adequate for our needs. The hotel is in Cap Salou which is in a quieter area of Salou but there is a bus stop outside the hotel where you can catch a bus to Salou etc, there are people with high viz jackets who work for the bus company at most of the bus stops who will offer assistance and advice so that you will not get lost.
The hotel itself was better than we expected , it was clean the staff were very friendly and the food that we ate in the restaurant was of a good standard and a reasonable price.
Eddie the entertainer kept the kids amused and also held bingo sessions each evening followed by either a quiz or Karaoke or the occasional act from outside .
There were plenty of sunbeds available but if you want some chill time without the kids there is a large adult only sun terrace on the roof which tended to be nice and quiet.
Towels were changed and the room cleaned everyday except Sunday .
There are a handful of restaurants down the ( steep ) hill in Cap Salou village and one we would recommend is Route 66 . excellent food and very good staff only downside is the climb back up the hill and if you have walking difficulties it may be better getting a taxi back to the hotel , we saw people doing this and it cost them 4.50 euro and they said it was worth it.
There is a nice beach about a 15 minute stroll away from the hotel , turn right when leaving the hotel then right again at the road junction. cross the road then after about 200 metres bear left and follow the path down to the beach . There are toilet facilities a beach bar which serves decent burgers etc.and there is a lifeguard on duty as well as a first aid room..
If you fancy a couple of hours time out then take the road train which stops right outside the hotel.and for 4 euro you will get a tour around the area taking in Cap Salou Portaventura and Salou . if you pay 7 euro you can buy a hop on hop off ticket . the trains run every half hour.
The only thing that spoiled things a bit was the arrival of some families during our second week who let their kids run wild until the early hours while the parents ( ? ) sat and necked the booze but this seems to be quite common these days wherever you go .
All in all we had a good holiday and will probably return in the future.More

We have just returned from these apartments and had a lovely family holiday. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was a little small compared to previous ones that we have stayed in in other apartments but it had everything we needed for our 2 weeks stay. The maid service was excellent and apart from 1 day per week we had fresh towels each day. Some however were slightly dirty but when brought to the maids attention they were changed no problem. The bed linen was changed once a week. The bedroom windows did lock so if you are staying with young children please ask the maid to lock your window for safety as we were on the 5th floor with a 2 year old and 10 year old. We did find that the balcony had gaps in which could potentially be dangerous for our 2 year old, but she was supervised at all times so this was not a major issue. Unfortunately the noise levels were an issue, the H10 hotel next door had very loud entertainment which went on until midnight and started through the day. The day time was fine but once it got to about 10pm with a tired toddler this was a problem. During our second week we did have a number of noisy guests in our hotel mainly children, as we were near the park we witnessed a lot of bad behavior and damaging of property. This was was however no fault of the hotel. The adult only sun terrace would have been fantastic if it was not for children running around on skate boards and with water pistols, this was brought to the hotels attention and nothing was done about it. As we traveled with my parents they were not happy about this. We ate in the hotel a number of times and only had one problem where my meal was cold, the manager rectified this straight away and gave us a round of drinks on the house. The restaurant only had a very small number of high chairs which was not great as there was a lot of small children in the complex who often had no high chair to use. Mark who works behind the bar was fantastic. Eddie who was the hotels main entertainer was fantastic and involved children of all ages in his kids hour 8pm until 9pm, I do feel that he needs at least one extra staff member to help him as it was a lot of work for just one person. The bar area toilets did have a baby change and also a small games area. The pool area did not get the sun until the afternoon but this was no problem as we did not think the pool was cold. The toddler pool has great interactive water facilities which my 2 year old loved. We had no problems in finding sunbeds and the area was clean at all times, The baby park should be in a shaded area as through the day this was far to hot for my toddler to use. There was also a larger park with a enclosed football area. The land train does stop outside the hotel and we enjoyed a 2 hour trip on this in and around Salou, you could buy a hop on hop off pass which we found was a good way of seeing the sights. A taxi into Salou was approx 11-15 euros one way and there is a taxi rank outside the hotel. A short walk from the hotel is a small cove but about a 10 minute walk is a much larger beach with toilet facilities, medical area, life guards and a bar area. The sea is very shallow and fantastic for children, although watch out for the jelly fish. To the left of the complex if you follow the road for approx 20 minutes you will end up in La Pineda which is a beautiful resort with a long promenade with shops, bars and restaurants. The Aquapolis water park in Pineda was well worth a visit as it had a very extensive toddler area, an under 12 area and numerous other slides. There was a seal and dolphin show each day at 4pm. We purchased the tickets off the rep as this worked out to be cheaper. We would return to this area again as cap Salou was lovely, we enjoyed a lot of meals in Route 66 which had fantastic staff.More

I wasnt expecting it to be so good!
Just returned today from the sun club and I must say I was impressed with how good it was.don't get me wrong it's not perfect and there are places where it could improve but the pros definitely out weigh the cons.
Firstly the hotel itself is spotless. Very clean. The pool area is very clean aswell but can b quite cold. Rooms are spacious but some could do with a better view!
The restaurant is a bit hit and miss. Breakfast isn't very good as not much choice.service was a bit hit and miss sometimes it would b really quick and others really slow. Bar staff blow hot and cold especially Nico he's rude!!! The restaurant could do with more high chairs. For a family hotel I don't think 4 is enough. Some days we couldn't get one to feed our baby as people pinch them and take them to their rooms!!!!
Entertainment is excellent especially eddy who works really hard. The girls in the thomson kids club made my kids holidays. They loved going!
My son has been in tears all day wanting to go back. I will deffenately consider returning to this hotel.
