As you may realise this a favourite hotel, but because we have been so often we forget just how good, reasonable priced, clean and brilliant helpful staff (maria and the girls) they have. The hotel is now 8years old and whil'st not as pristine as it's sister hotels it is the best. The rooms boast a flat screen TV(7 British channels),free safe, dressing gowns, free coffee/tea making facilities, free fridge and free toiletries(including shampoo, soap.toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, shower caps, comb). There is a washing line in the bathroom and an iron /ironing board is available on request. There are some new chefs this time who are trying new dishes,so was good fun tasting different dishes, whil'st the selection still included plenty of original food. The Hydra pool and indoor pool is still free for all Thomson guests and we went every night, brilliant for tired bones after a days shopping( which we did a lot ).The hotel was quiet which I blame Thomsons who seem to be pushing it's sister hotel,by consently putting'one room left' on it's website. The resort was quite busy, the train and bus fares have gone up slightly again. We booked 2 trips with the travel agent at the bus station(cheapest,English guide). The Rhonda trip was magnificent and no trouble getting into Gibalter.Already looking to book for February .More

No Contest

We have been to feuringirola on many occasions but this was our first time at this hotel.Everything from day one for a fortnight was superb. The food, cleanliness of rooms and all general areas was spot on.Entertainment each night very good.Bar staff led by Antonio and the superb waiters and waitresses best we have ever encountered.(Happy Hour 8 30-10 00pm ).Restaurant staff led by the lovely, very efficient Maria all cheerful and go out of their way to provide great service..The food is cooked to an exceptional high standard with the chefs on hand ready to help you in any way..Reception was superb, they were very helpful and efficient in any query you had and went out of their way to solve any requests you had. We think best rooms arer facing the sea with superb views from floors 5 to 12 .Pool area is immaculate and clean.Pool bar has Happy Hour 12 00 - 1 00 lunch time..Visited the other sister hotels ( Angela and Yaramar ) but in our opinion the Florida was by far the superior..Thre were numerous clients who have returned year after year they love it that much. Thank you to all involved with the running of the Florida for the best holiday in Feuringirola we have ever had in over 20 years visiting the resort.WE WILL BE BACK SOON ! !More

kevin m,

A lovely winter break.

My wife and I returned from a weeks break 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the Hotel Florida in Fuengirola. We were checked in very efficiently and went straight up to our room on the second floor in one of the three glass lifts. Our suitcases were delivered promptly to the room as few minutes later. The room has a lovely view across to the beach, sea and marina which was lovely to wake up to. We had tea/coffee available in tyhe room which was replenished every day, there was also a fridge, safe and a flat screen TV which English channels were available.. The food was excellent for breakfast there was porridge, full English or fruit with fresh omlettes available if required. Dinner again was lovely plenty of choises of either meat or fish, with Pasta and loads of vegetables cooked in various ways. Desserts were to die for but we stuck with the fresh fruit which was served lovely. One very good point was that the food was always piping hot. The wine we had (Rouge) was very good and not nearly as expensive as we thought it would be. The Pool area is on the 3rd floor and is not very large pool it was no problem when we were there but wondered if there may be a few problems in the height of the season, but there was a large amount of sun beds. We did not view the evening entertainment which was local singers etc., so cannot comment on this. At this time of the year the Hotel was full of Senior Citizens, but as my wife and I were 70 we very much blended in. We also had free WiFi in the bedroom. The weather the first 2 days was warm (73 deg) but cloudy, then the next three days it was lovely and sunny, unfortunately the last day it completely poured down in buckets but at this time of the year we were not too concerned. We hired a car for a day and went down to Gibralter, and could not believe how cheap "Booze and Cigarettes) were this really is the place to stock up for Christmas on Spirits. In all we had a lovely break in a lovely hotel and would recommend it to others.More

brilliant stands out from the crowd

Visited this hotel for the first time late November for a long weekend, very impressed as soon as we walked through the door the reception areas very impressive the staff were very welcoming and got us to our room with the minimum of fuss, the room was one of the best I have ever stayed in very clean and welcoming the fridge and free safety deposit box a refreshing change when most hotels rip you off by charging for these the food on offer not good or bad but plentiful a special thank you must go to Sandra who was managing the snack bar on the first floor who went the extra mile to help us even translating the menu for us, the pool area is very relaxing and well laid out ,all round ,the staff were great the housekeeping was great will definitely be staying again...,More
