Good food great staff nice location.
This hotel is nicely situated in Feungriola opposite th Matina and small beach, it is very handy for the local shops and in walking distance from the market. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy and very well maintained (apart from the leaking glass roof over the dance floor area when it rains). All the staff are really friendly from the reception to the room attendant, they are always happy to stop and have a chat to you no matter how busy they are. The food is of a very good standard, it is buffet style eating at all meal times and there is always plenty of choice it is hot and kept well replenished at all times. They have theme nights in the Restuarant several times per week . The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is changed every other day and towels changed daily, the bathroom only has a shower and no bath, but the shower is very powerful and water very hot. They replenish the toileteriees daily. The room has a fridge which was very handy to keep your drinks cold. Also tea and coffe making facilities. I found the bed to be very firm and for me comfortable although my wife didn't like it. There is nightly entertainment which for me was absolutely chronic but other guests seemed to enjoy it. This time of year the hotel is full of elderly people and loads of motor scooters about (my wife said it was like heavens waiting room lol) all in all not a bad hotel possibly one of the best 4 stars in Fuengriola.More
Just seen a review complaining about the food!! The chef was always walking around asking if the food was to your liking and offering to cook you anything if you did not see anything you liked. That reviewer must have been super fussy. There were cold meats cheeses, fresh salads, soups, at least three fish dishes, roasts etc, and as for puds! And I found the staff cheerful and helpful, smile and the world smiles with you.More
Comfortable and a good location
We took the train from Malaga Airport and it is a few minutes walk from Fuengirola Station. I had e-mailed in advance asking for a room with a sea view and we were not disappointed. Our room was actually on the 5th floor and this had a great view over the harbour and from where we could watch the puddles get bigger! Nice size room with twin beds and a balcony. Large shower in the bathroom but no bath. I am a great believer in hotels not charging for safe deposit boxes, wifi and fridges in your room; the Florida Spa ticks all these boxes so well done you. Decent amount of storage space. Breakfast room had plenty of tables. Breakfast is the normal buffet style with drinkable coffee, juices, cereals, fruit, toast, cakes and hot food. There's a pool on the first floor with sun loungers, a small café and a pool table. Spa is in the basement. This has 2 pools with hydrotherapy jets, steam room and a sauna; you do have to wear a cap and flip flops (in addition to your bathing costume) both are provided. We tend to use a hotel as a base and go out in the evenings but the Florida Spa does have entertainment going on. Bar prices seemed reasonable, particularly during happy hour. There is a restaurant directly opposite which was reasonable and you are close to both the marina and Fish Alley where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. We go to Fuengirola for the occasional Spanish lesson and use Gorka and Arantza at Spanish Teachers Fuengirola. Very friendly and great value for money. They are a 5 minute walk from the Florida Spa.More
Have just returned from the Florida, there are a lot of positives at this hotel. For a weeks stay you save 42 Euros as the safe and fridge are free, unlike other hotels.Coffee and tea topped up every day again some hotels just give you enough for the first day. Lovely dressing gowns provided and what is a nice touch as well as providing toiletries two toothbrushes and combs are left for you. English newspapers are provided in the lounge. Also there are many English channels on the television which is nice st this time of year with dark evenings. However the situation of the hotel is not ideal for some. It is surrounded tall apartment buildings and has no grounds. The swimming pool and sunbed area is completely overlooked and at this time of year is cold and in complete shade until 11am. A pool view room lower than the 6th floor had no sea view just apartments. It is like a concrete jungle and will not suit everyone, there are no grounds at this hotel.More

Had a fantastic week at The Florida Spa. We had read the reviews and they are all very true. Lovely staff, nice comfortable room, good bathroom facilities. Restaurant was really nice and relaxed atmosphere, no long queues and plenty of food to choose from. I always say that if people complain that the food is repetitive, I'm not surprised if you take a bit of everything, each night! Evenings had varied entertainment, which on the whole were quite good. The happy hour was well attended from 8:30pm - 10pm each night. You don't get half price drinks, you get two drinks for the price of one! fantastic.. Great location on the sea front, right opposite the Marina. Some lovely bars/restaurants around the marina and they offer good value for money. We went to Gibraltar for a day which was really good, only complaint was the queues at the Spanish border controls, going in and coming out. We went through Thomson Holidays and the representative Melissa had a lovely manner about her and was there almost every day for quite a few hours to help you enjoy your stay. All staff were extremely polite and hard working. Obviously they contribute massively to this lovely hotel. Keep up the good work.More
