great hotel

We went back to this hotel after a 2 year absence, and found it really refreshing to find a hotel that even as they have to work through the resection like everyone else still try to keep their high standards, the food is to die for, the selection for breakfast and evening meals is breathtaking, the staff are all first class the try to give everyone a five star treatment nothing is to much for them. we were there from 18th to 25th of this month, this hotel is well worth a visit Raymond & BarbaraMore

Great place to stay

Staff at the hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. The corner room we had was excellent - a good size with wood floor, very wide floor to ceiling window along one side providing an amazing sea view plus a balcony overlooking the pool. Food at the hotel was good and the staff in the dining room were polite, welcoming and efficient. The hotel is located centrally, across from the promenade and beach, close to the bus and railway stations. By train, Benalmadena - Arroyo de Miel (Tivoli world, cable cars, Friday market etc) takes about 15 mins and Torremolinos (crocodile park, dinosaur park, aqua land etc) about 25 mins. The Bioparc (zoo) is about 20 mins walk from the hotel. A good thing about the resort is that it is very flat, which makes walking around in the heat less tiring. The hotel's outdoor pool was never excessively crowded and beds were always available. This helped to make our two week stay more relaxing and enjoyable - nobody used towels to reserve beds. There was a pool table next to the pool which my daughter and her friends enjoyed. The outdoor pool is not large and only 2 to 4.5 ft deep but adequate for cooling off in the hot sun. Overall a great place to stay.More

Mark B,

Ticks every box!

Writing this review, sat on the bed in my room before check-out! Booked this hotel purely on tripadvisor reviews,so here's mine! Location excellent, 2 minutes to beach. Hotel clean.rooms tidied every day. Meals also excellent with lots of choice-we never went hungry, quite the opposite! Staff, helpful and friendly. Amenities: POOL:small and shallow, but quiet and ALWAYS got a sun-lounger! SPA: free jacuzzi and indoor 'dip' pool for thomson guests! Entertainment: dated- but so is every hotel nowadays.although it seemed to suit the more elderly guests. Resort: lots of bars and restaurants to suit any age and taste.busy resort lots of hustle and bustle.pestered with beach sellers but wih a polite no or shake of the head-they moved on. Overall I would definitely recommend the Hotel Florida Spa,thank you for a lovely holiday!More

v_cumiskey,

3rd time - still fab

We have visited this hotel for the third time. It continues to be a very pleasant hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds pretty comfortable (especially by Spanish standards!) The food is good, with a wide choice of options, including a chef's roast every night, however the standard is not quite as high as in previous year's (we think it's due to the squeeze on the Spanish economy). The free Wi-Fi is good and worked well in the hotel room, unlike some hotels!! Overall, we would recommend this hotel for it's views, location and generally quiet relaxed atmosphere (no kids!!)More

excellent hotel,great resort.

Have visited this hotel before & love it,feels like home every time we go.Went for 2 weeks in august, and didn't disappoint. The hotel has a lovely reception entrance, and on arrival there is always someone to take your cases, which is always a nice touch when you,be had a long journey. The resort never sleeps in the summer,we love the hussle bussle of the Spanish coast & there are loads of bars/eating places, plus shops to mooch round. The Florida is one of the best on the coast & rooms, service, including free safe,fridge,tea/coffee making facilities& bathrobes is great.Evening meals have enough choice for everyone, and its nice not to have to queue, very civilized, with breakfasts great too.We usually get a good view of the coast, and the balcony,s are ideal. Will be going back again next year, during the summer months,as we like the sun(June,July,August)Went in October last year & had 3 days of rain.More
