Riviera

Staying at the riviera again this year. Always found to be friendly and clean. The food is worse than it was in May. Restaraunt staff saving seats for the privelidged few (Not on). On the matter of sunbeds in previous reports . We go down to the pool after breakfast at about 0830 and find there are plenty of sunbeds available, although there are sunbeds that have towels on them for most of the day and not in use which should be looked at. Was here in May and the hotel seems to be going downhill. I think this will be the last visit which I will miss as I have been coming for over 12 yearsMore

Hotel Riviera Benalmadena

The staff are very friendly the hotel was very clean BUT the food was Luke warm most of the time with not to much variation, at Breakfast and Dinner. After a pep talk from the Management when we arrived about Towels on sunbeds people where doing exactly that at 5.30in the morning ,Single beds are only available up to the third floor. and if you are unlucky enough to have a room overlooking the Main road make sure you take inhalers and earplugs with you the noise and fumes from road are terrible. My view

Hotel, staff and the area was great. We had a room on ground floor and although view not too good it was more than acceptable. Entertainment was very good but was central of Benalmedena to walk out to other bars and restaurants very easily. Beach within a few minutes. Didn't like how, if you didn't get up before 7 in the morning every pool sun lounger had been saved, even when no one used them they still had towels left on them all day. Also there was a day trip to the BLANKET Factory, with a trip after to Veerja, I recommend you don't waste a day of your life. Cos that's what it feels like a Lifetime it was a terrible day Don't Do It.! would recommend!More

great refurb

Had another great holiday here This was my 4th time and the refurb has been to a good standard Had a good room over looking the pool which we requested and enjoyed the view toward the sea and harbour I wish they wouldn't put such a charge on everything 3euros a day to hire safe fridge and a deposit of 20euro for a towel. Would have like to a pot of tea in the morning at the restaurant as when they fill your cup up with hot water the time you get your breakfast its gone cold. Also there is a lot more recycled food but it was ok.prices of the drinks a bit steep as for example a pint 3.50 outside I paid 1.95.You may seem to think I am moaning but overall the is a very good hotel and would recommend it to anyone.More

Again and again

Well it's seems as though this is my now yearly job and the reason I keep writing is to let you know the hotel and surrounding things are fantastic. I have some reviews and I know that people have their own opinions so what I am saying is just go and make your own minds up. All I can do is tell you our experience my husband and I love this week away (5/09/2014) we have done it now for some years so that in itself speaks volumes. Last year the hotel was overbooked and they put us in a premium room, now we feel we want that room if possible all the time. I am disabled so if I cannot manage poolside we sunbathed on our balcony, our balcony was enormous. Nothing too much trouble for any of the staff from the chambermaids to bar staff. If you was a poolside views ask for rooms ground 1-5 next floor 1-5 etc. all the staff seem to remember us Roberto and desire as ever we love them and also a new girl we haven't met before Heidi she is the most loveliest girl ever. Before we went this year I tried to learn a little spanish and Heidi and Christina(rep) would give me other phrases or words to learn. Because I am disabled my husband and I don't do an awful lot so of an evening we would go down the lift to the beach front and sit on a bench for sometime then we would go to watch whatever entertainment was on now all this being said if this hotel were to change some of the artistes nobody would have a reason to complain (my opinions). This year we saw a lot of familiar faces and they also remembered us which was great. As usual we always hope that some lovely people will be there that have really become friends and we look forward to seeing them. We are in our fifties but the other two couples Tony, Thelma, Rene and Tommy are a llittle older than us but they are great and lovely people, it always feels like home from home I feel so protected by all of them. The food was fabulous as ever I understand that different palates prefer different things but our food was really good hot plates, etc. the entertainment hosts Danny and Laura do a fantastic job every day trying to coax all to join in the activities not pushy but let you know what was happening and really nice people on top. See you next year can't wait already...........Pat and Anth Silman xxxxMore
