Escaped the winter weather and spent New Year in the sun. Lovely hotel, in wonderful position overlooking the sea with comfortable rooms with nice decor which are kept in immaculate order. Spoilt for choice for food which was very good and the staff are very efficient, helpful and we were always met with a smile. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a winter break.More

My Husband and myself have just come back from a 2 week winter break. It was our first time at the Riviera and it wont be our last. Everything was fantastic the food you could not fault it the bedroom & shower room were out of this world. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Thompsons Rep Becky was also very helpful and anything you asked her she could answer you what you wanted to know.More

Needed a short break after a long winter, and having read the reviews, most seemed OK, with the odd moan, we Brits do like a good moan! Forget the moaning, OK so it rained for a couple of days, it's January, and it must rain sometimes! The room, 105, was the second best in the hotel, try for 107, huge balcony and sun all day!! The food is first class, not just considering they are feeding so many, the hotel was full, but just first class! The tapas corner is a delight, the freshly cooked fish and meat is done in front of you at the 'Show cooking' counter, and there is a huge selection of dishes in the buffet, nothing is rushed and the staff are delightful. Breakfast is also on an epic scale, if you can't find something to fill you up for the start of the day, you really shouldn't be going abroad on holiday! The evening entertainment is what you'd expect, Las Vegas it ain't, but some very talented singers, giving their best to make the evening finish off with a pleasant song and dance. There was comment about the 'concrete' dance floor having holes in it, the dance floor is marble and does have some slight damage that appears to have been caused by stiletto heals! Quite near the stage, so if you avoid the front of the dance floor, or, respect the floor and don't wear stilettos... You'll be fine. One tiny niggle, like I said, we Brits do like to moan, you get one night in the ala carte restaurant and I assumed, wrongly, that there would be a separate bar, so if you want a drink that isn't on the standard restaurant wine list, buy it in the bar and take it down with you. All in all a fabulous break.More

Very good hotel, enjoyed everything about it,but don't understand people stuffing themselves with mountains of food breakfast and evening meal and then fill up handbags etc with bread, butter, fruit,it's very entertaining watching them trying to conceal it from the staffMore

Myself and my husband went for a two week holiday at the Riviera in May 2014. After reading some negative reviews we were abit dubious. However, when we arrived, we were greeted by the very friendly staff and shown to our room almost right away, no hanging around. All I can say is it is a very good hotel, the food was good, although we have stayed at better, we could always get something to enjoy. The location is lovely, with the promanade to walk along and to walk your breakfast off before it gets too hot! We could always get a bed around the pool too so that was good. If you are thinking of booking this hotel, I was say do it, you won't be disappointed!More
