Our room on a previous holiday was on the very top floor. Our surprise was to be given a room recently upgraded to a high standard, warm, with large comfortable double bed on the first floor. The hotel enjoys a favourable position on the front. The food was of a very high standard with excellent service by the staff. If you as a couple want a quiet pleasant stay in a well appointed hotel this is the one for you. And the Belamadena resort area is top class you will not be disappointed. Chris, BristolMore

This is a wonderful hotel if you're looking for a quieter place to stay. It's a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms, plenty of space to move around, great balcony, and a lovely bathroom with great big shower cubicle plus twin sinks!!!! Fabulous staff (including Roberto in the restaurant who was an absolute star when we had a few mishaps), and the food was just unbelievable - plenty of choice (with hot puddings with custard) and it was actually hot. Lift down to the prom was also useful for those who would have struggled otherwise. Free wifi is available and it works in the guest rooms too. During the bingo sessions the first number is always 55 because 'ze ball, it is lost', and the evening entertainment is very good. Buses stop outside so easy to get to Fuengirola, Malaga, Torremolinos, etc. We went on the Thomson trip to Gibraltar and it was the best we've been on. Must also mention the Thomson rep Becky, best rep we've ever come across. This may sound awful, but the fact this hotel is adults only is bliss. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay and we will definitely be back in the near future.More

Tapas Corner their USP!
Hotel in a great position overlooking Benelmadena bay, we enjoyed a panoramic view from our Premium Room which was definitely worth the additional cost, having spoken to other guests who had standard rooms with little sun on their balconies and restricted views of the sea. We enjoyed twin handwash basins, jacuzzi bath and free voucher for an hour in the Spa (worth â¬20). This hotel's Unique Selling Point is their Tapas Corner available every evening and shelves full of Spanish goodies including hot tuna/salmon mini dishes, hot pizzas and mini burgers. They were scrumptious! Glad to report that the hotel is strict with smart casual dress code in the evenings - I did witness a young couple waiting to be shown a table and the gentleman was wearing shorts so was told diplomatically to change into long trousers. The restaurant has show cooking each evening including choices of fresh fish and meat, also grilled vegetables and jacket potatoes. The grilled veg rather tasteless though. Buffet had choices of just about everything from salad, soups, curries, liver, pasta, chicken, with lots of vegetable trays. Good array of desserts ranging from ice creams, jellies, cake and even hot desserts such as crumbles/bread & butter pud with custard and/or rice pud. Blue cheese every night plus other cheese choices. Breakfast - coffee served at your table (machines also available) - well cooked bacon, eggs, etc. and omelettes/pancakes cooked to order. Plenty of fresh fruits and yogurts too. Entertainment on the whole was good - we particularly enjoyed the magic show. Bar has Happy Hour three times a week Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday where we enjoyed BOGOF for â¬5.40 for two rosé and two red wines. Bottle of house wine â¬7.50 which you can order whilst dining, sign for it and pay on departure. Had a couple of cool days at commencement of our week at the Riviera and popped the air con on 25 degrees to warm up the room but the hotel control it according to outside temperature. However, as we returned home on 29th March the weather was a glorious 27 degrees âï¸ There is a lift from Reception down to the beach where the promenade is a nice walk, few restaurants and coffee stops, 10 minute walk to Marina. There is a weekly market on a Friday which is a good 30/35 minute walk all uphill so my advice would be to take a taxi and walk back. Overall, nice week, good hotel with friendly and attentive staff. P.S. Wi fi free all areas.More

This hotel came recommended and looked good. A few issues arose though. 1. The air-con in the room was turned off by the hotel as it was too cold outside. We felt like we were melting in the rooms. We could not open the door due to traffic noise all night long. Half way through the week the management decided that it had got hot enough and turned on the air-con. 2. The food was not as good as we expected. Every night was a combination of stew/curry/casserole or something in a sauce. There was a "Show Cooking" area but only one doing the cooking and long queues. Breakfast was OK but the food was not really fresh. All the food suffered from the same issue, not hot enough. Overall the hotel was not as good as expected and all members of our group were of the same opinion. Not worth a repeat visit.More
