With a sandy beach and Benidorm’s nightlife on your doorstep, this hotel scores top marks for location.
The Port Benidorm, formerly known as Los Dalmatas, had a complete makeover in 2016. You can expect modernised rooms, a revamped pool, a bigger sun terrace and a brand-new bar.
When it comes to location, this place is spot on. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk from Levante Beach, and there are plenty of bars in the surrounding area. As for days out, you’re five minutes’ drive from a waterpark.

Shame about the weather
Stayed for a week at Port Benidorm as a last minute booking to get away from the awful summer in the UK. Unfortunately the weather was terrible and we only had 2 afternoons of sunshine - not the hotels fault at all and plenty of things to do in Benidorm if weather not so good. Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful at all times. The lift system is confusing at first but you do get the hang of it quickly and personally I think it works much more efficiently in such a big hotel. Food is typically English and I am quite fussy but could always find something to eat. The diningroom gets very hot behind all the glass so sit in middle of it if you can. Not near the windows. You can even get a full bottle of wine at the table which is included if you go all inclusive - we were impressed with this. We emailed the hotel in advance of our arrival and requested a low floor. We were delighted to be on floor 1 when we arrived. It is a disabled access room but was very spacious with a massive wet room which we loved. The delight at being on floor 1 was short lived when we realised that children playing on the grassed area in fron of our room were kicking the ball at our windows constantly and losing their balls on our balcony and stacking the sun loungers up outside to climb on the balcony and retrieve their lost balls. We reported this to reception as it was so dangerous - someone could have been badly hurt. however little was done. This was a nuisance and was quite intrusive to us. We had a good stay but the hotel is right at one end of the Benidorm strip and I think we would stay more central next time.More
We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August! The hotel was absolutely lovely! Immaculate throughout. The pool area was really nice and we spent a lot of time here sunbathing. It had a bar and snack area (chips, burgers, salad etc) by the pool. The restaurant was always a delight to! Breakfast was good and the evening meals were always nice, lots of fresh salad to go with your meal. A lot of people aren't so keen on the lifts, they can be a little frustrating when waiting for them at busy times but they were very easy to use! The staff were all lovely and helpful at all times. Being literally a minute walk from the beach was really handy! Lots of bars across the beach (not too expensive). McDonalds, Burger King and subway were right next to the hotel along with pizza places and other fast food places which was nice if you didn't fancy eating at the hotel for a change. All in all we had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend to anyone and we will be back in the future! Thank you Port Benidorm for making our holiday amazing!!!More
I travelled with one friend and stayed here for one week all inclusive. I can honestly say this hotel is brilliant. Nothing but positive feedback. The hotel is modern and extremely clean as is the rooms. Nicest I have stayed in. The all inclusive was nothing short of amazing. Restaurant food was brilliant, fresh and warm! All the restaurant staff were hard working and although extremely busy they were very polite. There is a snack bar available buffet style all day long, although I never used it due to eating lunch in the restaurant I found it amazing the hotel had this service available. Drinks were perfect all week!! The animation staff were great at their job and are a real asset to the hotel. Pilar, Leticia and Nelly were full of energy all week and should be commended on the job they do. If you are reading this review, read it and then book your holiday to Port Benidorm as I assure you you will not be disappointed. Greg Aitken 5/9-12/9More
Looks great but not worth the money
Myself and my wife stayed at Port Benidorm for the first week in September. We had booked as it looked modern and clean and thought that it would be n amazing hotel in Benidorm. When we got there they had given us a twin room as we were two females despite us booking a double. We had to wait half an hour to access a different room which was frustrating as we were knackered and hot. The room itself was fabulous, the glass bathroom was fine for us, it was big with a free fridge and cheap safe (around 12 euros for a week). Loads of storage and high quality furnishings with a flat screen TV with English channels and a writing desk. We were on the 16th floor which was scary but the glass balcony is high enough that you feel safe. The issue with the room we had was the shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it so had to keep putting the towels down to soak this up. We did ask reception for this to be sorted but nothing was done whilst we were there. Consequently there was a patch of damp in the bathroom which didn't look great. The maids came every day and changed towels etc however the sheets weren't changed in the week which would have been good. The pool area was great, nothing to fault. Loads of sun beds, got the sun all day though you may have had to love along with the sun. Pool was lovely and clean. The pool bar opened all day, we weren't all inclusive and found the prices a little bit expensive but actually the whole of Benidorm was quite expensive so prob about the same. We had to watch the staff didn't give us the cheap spirits tho as they automatically reached for these thinking we were all inclusive. Reception area and the bar area had an almost constant permeating smell of drains which was unpleasant when we entered it. It was like that around the area tho but you'd have thought the hotel would have prevented it. The main issue of this hotel which will stop us coming back was the food. There was a lot of choice granted however the food was inedible some nights. We never got a hot meal unless it was the soup which had globules of powder in it. My wife had the mash one night which was disgusting and had no taste, in fact I would say smash was better. There were different themes each night for part of the hot food but really they should have stick with cooking Spanish food as these themes weren't great like the Chinese night was tasteless and again lukewarm. The spring rolls were the best thing and they were clearly frozen. Some of the food looked so awful and nothing like what it was meant to be, one night there was cottage pie which consisted of little round things?? Like large cous cous?? The lasagne was awful and looked awful as well. To be fair the desserts were good but these were clearly bought in 😂. Breakfast was a little better with fresh eggs and pancakes however even the pancakes were claggy with too much flour in the batter? Pastries were offered which were ok, the hot breakfast tasted so odd. There was sometimes waffles or churros which were rock hard. The fruit always had a strange taste to it? Coffee machine was below par and don't even bother with a cappuccino as it doesn't resemble one at all. There was free cava which was good tho. Basically they have done a lot of work in making the hotel look great and modern however a lot of work needs doing around the quality of the food. It was disappointing as we had paid extra specifically to come to this hotel thinking it was a higher standard than others in Benidorm. More
What works well at this hotel: -very clean no issues anywhere -Cant access the pool area until 9 am so there is no putting out towels to reserve beds. -Staff at reception always happy to help especially Sonia. -restaurant staff in the main pleasant and happy to help -good choice for breakfast all the usual-with lots of fruit-cheese etc -snack bar by pool for AL burgers/hot dogs/chips but also salad/rolls-ice cream available all day. -Good choice of food-of course it get's a bit repetitive but that is the same in all hotels. -lift system easy to operate and offers fairness when you are in a hotel with 18 floors so you never miss the lift call as the system remembers who's next. -towels 10 euro deposit ( which is returned) and 2 euro per week -safe available to hire -2min stroll to beach and sea front -good powerful shower-we did not have a room with glass bathroom partition so can not comment What is not so good: -you always get one member of staff that is a problem in this case it is the older gentleman serving in the down stairs bar that borders on being rude. An example was that when I asked for Amaretto he told me it was not free-well neither is AL!!!!!-not worth the challenge as he has a air of "I don't care" and negative a demeanour I could not be bothered to waste my time. -A lot of kids around and they do not stay in the kids section of the pool therefore almost impossible to have a proper swim. -the entertainment is very poor in the evenings which is a shame. There is nothing wrong with this hotel but we will not return purely because we hated Benidorm and would not wish to return however we would look to stay in other Port hotels in the future.More
