Two golf courses, a great pool scene and a high-end spa are all part of the package at the Melia Villaitana.
This place is designed to look like a traditional Spanish village. We’re talking pretty squares, pastel-hued buildings and a pool with a manmade beach. On top of that, highlights include four restaurants, two tennis courts and a spa.
The property has a prime hillside postcode with sweeping sea views. And it’s sandwiched between two 18-hole golf courses. If you want to head into town, Benidorm is just a 10-minute drive away.

The lagoon-style pool here definitely takes centre stage with its generous size, glossy palms, wooden bridges and rock features.
Evening entertainment programme in high season
The Royal Square is host to the evening entertainment, with professional live shows including The Lion King, Mamma Mia, magic shows and an acrobatic circus. Parties take place, too, with themes like black and white and Ibiza chill-out scenes.
There's plenty in the way of treatments here, from relaxing facials and Indian head massages, to full body treatments. There are eight treatment areas as well as a deluxe cabin with a Turkish bath and a hydrothermal area with Finnish sauna, Roman baths and an indoor pool with whirlpool. There's also the ECO YHI area which is located on an oriental lake with two outdoor cabins and two solariums.

a little bit dissapointed
don't get me wrong, we spent wonderful time here. we have been beaten by wild wasps inside property, but it was like adventure. there were huge cockroaches in public toilets but it was just reason for jokes, there were no really nice romantic places to spend evenings so it makes us to spent evenings next to the see and watch sunset More
I just had to review the hotel to stop any worry that some previous comments may be causing....the staff were all fantastic..the hotel was full (school holidays) and yet we were served immediately at every meal...we did not have to wait long to get drinks at the bars and staff were friendly and happy. We noticed that there appeared to be staff meetings before each restaurant opened and assumed this was management ensuring efficiency..it worked we were impressed.More

BAR SERVICE WAS SHOCKING
Please sort out the Mambo Jazz Bar, service was totally unacceptable and embarrassing, long time waiting for service every night, bar manager was a nut case and did not seen to appreciate what her job title was i think, sales prevention officer I would call her. over all this is a great hotel with plenty to do and the food was the best at the Level experience 5* side of the complex, More
Beautiful location, fantastic holiday!
Having recently visited with friends, I have to admit, having read some of the rather mixed reviews I was slightly apprehensive - my worries were soon quashed, friendly staff to meet and greet you, check in smooth and efficient. Rooms are large, clean and practical, perhaps a little dated, however I spent most of my time around the pool/bar. Bathrooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. The pool areas are amazing, there are several pools, including a heated pool to choose from. There are also children's pools and play areas dotted around. Sun beds are plentiful, the usual scenario of the early morning towel hoggers applied, however there was always beds free. There are several areas to eat, all of which I really enjoyed - apparently I'm a fussy eater according to my husband - I had no issues, if anything, too much choice! The street food area was nice, serving Tex-mex, noodles and kebabs. The Italian was also very nice. Beverages were generous, both alcoholic and non. The house wine was also rather nice (I only tried the white) but you didn't have to hold your nose to drink it! Pool bar was well staffed, there was sometimes a small que, a minute or so wait maximum. During the evenings that entertainment was provided, additional bars opened, again never much of a wait if any for service. The music that was played throughout the day was a good selection and pitched at the right level, there were a few bizarre covers of Adele and the Beatles which made us laugh. Ok the negatives - and I'm having to really pick now - there are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, they are available at a supplement of €5 per day. I was slightly disappointed by this, I personally expected these facilities to be included. Upon booking, I was informed of a special offer of a complementary €10 per room, per day to spend. This wasn't discussed upon check in, when I went to clarify what it could be used for (too many restrictions) I was informed basically if you don't spend it on the day you loose it. I worked out the only thing you could put it towards was a spa treatment. Back to the positives, I would highly recommend Melia Villaitana to my friends and family and I will definitely return. Possibly the best all inclusive (within the Mediterranean) I have visited! Thank you for a lovely, relaxing experience. More
This hotel is beautiful. However the customer service does not match the hotels visual standing. Unfortunately the queueing for drinks and the poor service generally (obviously this is not all staff) leaves you feeling disappointed in your visit. It is a busy very young family orientated hotel which is not ideal for couples (which in itself is not a problem) who tend to be disregarded. More
