Hotel Rosamar

Within walking distance of Benidorm's sandy beaches and non-stop nightlife, Hotel Rosamar is in a really convenient spot. The pool is the hotel's headliner, thanks to its honeypot sun terrace and bar - although the buffet restaurant and entertainment line-up follow closely behind.

Occupying a prime spot in the Benidorm skyline, this big hotel is ideal if you want to be close to all the action. Levante Beach is just few hundred metres away, while the town’s shops, restaurants and nightclubs are less than a 10-minute walk. Plus there are plenty of buses and taxis for those times when you don’t feel like walking.

The property itself is pretty modern, thanks to a recent revamp. In the lobby, spot-lit ceilings and arty prints give things a funky vibe and large windows let in plenty of light. The bedrooms, meanwhile, have been kept fairly simple, with neutral walls and bright soft furnishings as standard.

Outside, the pool area is the main social hub. A good-sized swimming pool is surrounded by a spacious terrace, which comes complete with loungers and umbrellas. There’s a shallow section of the pool for the kids, plus a neighbouring snack bar serving drinks and light bites around the clock.

Talking of eating and drinking, the hotel’s main restaurant is the place to go for big buffets. Spanish and international dishes are both on offer, with on-the-spot cooking stations taking centre-stage at breakfast and dinner. Have succulent meat freshly carved or get your omelettes cooked to order.

Last but not least, this place doesn’t disappoint when it comes to sports and entertainment. Practise your swing at the mini-golf course, or head to the tennis court for a game or two. Come evening, live music and shows are played out until the early hours.

A social cub for local non one drink residents

The rosamar is in a great location but just far enough from the noise. Check in was fine as we arrived after 23.00. Room was on the 12 floor not problem with that. Cleaned daily and clean towels daily. Bar staff were pleasant once you got to know them. All the guests were not all inclusive like we were but you had to sign for your drinks. The locals did get special treatment like waiter service drinks in glasses while we got plastic the entertainment for spanish who were mostly non residents was for waltzing etc. The food was okay but that's all.Our all inclusive stopped midday even though we didn't leave till 20.00 a bit penny pinching I thought.More

Alright

Me and my partner came here for our first holiday away. It was perfect for us in terms of location! We were put on the 14th floor and because of how slow the lifts are it felt like we spent half the holiday in the lift! The food was basic but it was a cheap holiday so no complaints. Bar staff were lovely but unfortunately the reception staff weren't very friendly! More

Ignorant staff ( unless your Spanish )!

Having just returned from the rosamar i can honestly say never again! At face value the hotel looks ok the pool and rooms are fine ( apart from plug sockets in room not woking). The main problem is in the restaurant where the food is disgusting either in edible or stone cold my partner complained about a meal being cold to 1 of the ignorant waiters (unless you was spanish that is) who shrugged his shouders but reluctantly got a chef out whos response was " sorry the oven not working "??? At least 4 times while we was there the lifts broke down...with people stuck in on a couple of occasions .........i believe this is a 3 star rating hotel...........maybe 20 years ago but sadly no longer...........unless of course your Spanish that is!More

You get what you pay for

First let me qualify this review by saying that I paid £335 for a weeks all inclusive stay for 2. I haven't got any major complaints for the price I paid. The hotel is nowhere near as bad as some people are making out. Yes the rooms are a little dated but they are spotlessly clean and have plenty of space. The pool and pool area is nice and there was never any issues in getting beds. The food is average by hotel standards but if you're not too picky there is plenty of choice and I enjoyed eating there. The waiters are slow at clearing tables though. Once or twice we had to set the table ourselves but this was no big issue. the all inclusive option caused a bit of confusion for some people as the hotel do not let you know what is and isn't included when you check in. Bar staff were nice enough even if a little rushed off their feet. A word of warning though it seems from other reviews that the moving of guests to other hotels has occurred throughout June. It happened to people when we checked in and it seams that the hotel is still doing so whilst blaming faults on a particular floor (they never say which floor and during our stay there were towels/swimwear out on balconies on every floor both sides of the hotel). I'd stay at this hotel again for the same priceMore
