Hotel Rosamar

Within walking distance of Benidorm's sandy beaches and non-stop nightlife, the Hotel Rosamar is in a really convenient spot.

Occupying a prime spot in the Benidorm skyline, the king-size Hotel Rosamar is ideal if you want to be close to all the action.

Thanks to a recent revamp, the Hotel Rosamar feels nice and modern. The pool is the headliner – although the buffet restaurant and entertainment line-up follow closely behind.

Just back and what a dreadful hotel this is I stayed 9 nights AI and booked 8 days gym and Spa to which they charged me for both yet gym is free for AI customers. The spa is shut Monday and Tuesday so I lost 3 visits .they open only 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 7 pm aslong with gym . Sauna is stone cold , spa pool is full of shelf's and walls and is dangerous when bubbles and stuff are going on .Steam room is rubbish to.Total waste of money. NOW , the food Awful awful awful , Stew stew ,processed meat things and fish .Lots and lots of fact one night there were 4 separate fish dishes then on the "laughable" show cooking table there was a choice of Octopus or "SQUiD. Yes 6 fish dishes.I love fish so I opted for soup which " FISH" or Vegetable .I chose the later and as I pulled the ladle out of the pan it was full of "FIsh " I walked out. I walked out of 6 meal times whilst there. The show cooking features fish ,burger.or processed meat stuff on different days .You had to que for a piece of pork fillet but it was raw so left it .They did have a lovely roast joint one evening but that was done in an oven . Kebab on a spit ( upright) another evening but once he'd cut a circumference of the meat off it was raw so left that too. You wait for them to cook you a manky fried egg in the morning too.potatoes and salads were OK. Breakfast typical of Spanish hotel ie so so Coffee was vending machine Fresh orange was vending machine cordial Water was bottled in resteraunt and from the orange machine poolside and top bar . Waiters happy to serve paying guests but shyed away from AI customers or just walked off collecting glasses. Rooms good. Never ever wrote a bad review before but never been to a hotel as poor quality as this . Maybe it's best suited as a B&B only but be warned . A pint costs €3.5 and cider€5 ( 3.75 for AI guests). Might add that young male manager was OK he is just fighting a losing battle on this one More

5 Nights Festival Stay !

We booked the Rosamar on the recommendation of friends as we couldn't get a room at our usual hotel, the Marina. Check in was seamless - friendly staff Rooms were comfortable - only fault was we booked a double but it was two singles pushed together Requests - Low Floor on Westernly facing side - we got this without issue (Room 215) Bathroom - Clean & Functional Storage - ample with about 6 hangers each side of wardrobe 5 drawers Safe - Euro 10 deposit and 1,50 per day TV - small flat screen - Sky & ITV etc as well as Spanish TV Balcony - small but adequate for 2 with clothes airer ! This wasn't the quietest of rooms as our "neighbours" opted to opening their doors and shouting along the corridor to see if their mates were ready to "head out" - not an issue otherwise we would have contacted reception :) Dining - we were B&B Breakfast was fine Full choice of "English Fry" Eggs done to Request at "Show Cooking" area >> Omelletes looked perfect ! >> Fried Eggs cooked exactly how you asked for ! >> Scrambled Egg was light n Fluffy ! Great Choice of Rolls & Pastries As a Veggie my options were limited Beans Tomatoes Potato "Fritters" - very Nice I had a bit of fruit and Fritters :) Drinks were Fruit Juices - Teas (choice) and Coffee (not the best) Pool Area Plenty of beds and sunny from about 10:00 - 16:00 - not bad for November with tall hotels all around !!! Summary: Good Location set slightly away from the Street, but only a 5 min walk, opposite Morgans Tavern (Neptunes from TV show Benidorm) We would go back !!!More
