Just returned today from this hotel, most reviews on here are positive, some of the negative reviews don't do the hotel justice. Its 3 star and you get what you pay for...The hotel itself is tired and could do with a revamp, they were redecorating some empty rooms yesterday. The food is good and plenty of it with lots of choice the usual hotel food but with Indian, chinese, and kebabs and a good veggie selection thrown in. The staff are friendly Paco can't do enough for you,the only exception was the Thompson rep i found her rude, disinterested, and unhelpful to busy playing on her tablet, this is not the hotels problem. It made a change staying at a hotel without kids running around. The rooms are basic but spotless clean. The entertainment could do with revising,Carl the young lad organising it was spot on,he was a star and a natural comedian without even knowing it,sadly however the hotel did not renew his contract and he left on wednesday(their loss in my book)his replacement a young girl does her best but many guests left and went out instead. The hotels location is spot on in the heart of everything, but a word of warning it is extremely noisy at night with the black chicken on one side and talk of the coast on the other this goes on till the early hours, many people complained about it,with that said it wasn't every night,so request a high floor, that's said there are only two small lifts in the hotel, you can wait a while for one especially at meal times. So would i stay there again my honest answer would be no purely down to the noise. And take plenty of mosquito repellent we are covered in bitesMore

Will stay here again

Perfect location for the busy bar area and only a short walk to the beach. Little bit noisy from the Talk of the Coast cabaret bar right below us, but we knew what to expect so not a complaint just an observation. Good choice of food throughout the week though the snacks between mealtimes could have been better. Restaurant staff very polite and helpful as was the room service lady. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed when needed. Only two small lifts that were slow to arrive at busy times, but that just made us use the stairs a bit more lol. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely return here.More

Fab Holiday

We have been to the hotel about 4 times, we always enjoy it, the fact of adult only appeals to us. The hotel could do with a bit of an update but it's close to a great nightlife, shops, beach and a fantastic stroll on the promenade. I find the staff are really friendly. The food is absolutely fabulous, you would have to go a long way to beat it. I was pleased to find they had changed the key system for the rooms, they could think of changing the bathrooms a bit, I have just had 2 knee replacements and found it difficult to get in and out of the bath. If I was having bother I'm sure some of the more elderly would struggle. After saying that it wouldn't put me off going, I really enjoy it. Keep up the good work, fab holidayMore

Our holiday a fortnight at The Riudor

we went to the Riudor again this year September for my birthday and met with holiday friends there, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the Lavante beach and all shops and indoor market. there is a main market on a wednesday and sunday 20 min walk away. we had a good time except seeing the same people doing 6 different shows in the 2 weeks was not very good or the female compere who was rude to someone she had up on the stage was very unprofessional. The Bar manager Paco is a great guy and all his staff except smiler who needs to cheer up a bit. The restaurant is clean well air con and wide variety of food on offer as well as an english breakfast which is very tasty. The staff there are all very friendly and helpful and you can witness some food first hand being cooked in the restaurant. All rooms cater for 2 or 3 people with mod cons such as flat screen tv and hairdryer all with balcony. John and Josephs can get a bit rowdy as open all hours, and in same alley you have the brothel which seems to attract a lot of stag parties. The hotel needs to improove on some of its entertainment and the attitude of the compere to remember not to upset the holiday makers but Karl was a cheeky funny guy looks bit like Leo Sayer with the afro but he can dance sing and entertain people just sometimes needs to slow down a bit but he has a big heart and means well. The Michael Jackson tribute was fab. The rooms are comfortable and although on our floor the cleaner did not change the towels daily on other floors they did but we understand about the water shortage so if you need towels changed frequently throw them in the bath then they will change them the cleaner comes every day and makes the bed and disposes of the rubbish. Although we didnt sun bathe this time the cleaners work hard and keep the pool and area very clean at all times. We are going back again next year as we love the location staff and hotel . fully recommended as its an adult only hotel.More

Booked Again Twice For 2016 Already

Back again to this family style run hotel where staff remember you and you remember them, for our annual holiday. Put request in on here for same room and fortunately they received it and obliged(Thank you) First few days weather poor so we spent a lot more time around the hotel than normal.Med playa entertainers did a great job, during the day, in keeping us all occupied and spirits up whilst watching the rain! Food was varied but has to cater for the more elderly person as the age group of this hotel lends itself to that scenario. (No hens or stags and adult only) The gala dinner is a must on Friday's-very enjoyable with free champers! Main reception has free wi fi if that floats your boat. Bar staff work hard both inside and at the outdoor pool bar. Sunbeds are hard to come by if you don't get up early so we spent a few days on the beach as a result. (additional cost there) Better policing of the clearly stated towel policy might discourage some of the people who were putting towels on before breakfast, then not turning up to use the bed until lunch onwards. That was the only negative for us and the staff are to be commended for making this yet another great holiday at the Riudor. See you in 2016.More
