40th birthday

Well we booked a 5 night break for a 34th and 40th birthday celebrations and the hotel didn't disappoint. Clean room, air con, friendly staff, decent food and a stones throw away from the night life. Pool is a life saver when it's 32deg and u can just jump in. No kids either is great as no screaming shouting etc well that's the adults haha. Defo advise stopping here and might come back in future. Cheers guys fab holiday More

creeky76,

Superbly located minutes from beach/night life/tourist shops/bars.

The hotel as the ideal location between Mediterranean Avenue and the main strip. I did love the room as we were on a high 7th floor and these have been refurbished to a super standard. Excellent power points located in just the right places beside the dressing table/mirror and beside the bed for recharging phones etc. Tv has BBC, ITV Channel 4 with the downstairs lounge with sport channels and a screen that came down when a larger audience was watching Euro football matches. I did bring ear plugs and used them every night to muffle street noise but in the middle of Benidorm this was not a surprise! The staff absolutely everywhere are super and really cannot be faulted, (special thanks to Antonio, when no one was waiting to be served he was busy clearing, cleaning and always looking to help, top class). The restaurant staff never have even a second and are always taking away and setting tables, except at breakfast. We were a little lost the first morning until we realised you pick up the clean cutlery and then find your own empty table! I lost the signal a good few times on the free wifi lounge but was so pleased with the paid for wifi signal in every area including our room and the pool area, which was excellent. 10€ for 3 days with other options available The passcode is purchased from a machine in reception area and the ticket code is used to login - but keep the code as this needs to be re-entered whenever you've been off wifi for a bit. I'm sorry but those that are enthusiastic about the food have maybe not experienced the choice that can be available in three star all inclusive accommodate elsewhere and I found this to be lacking. I could always find more than enough but sorry I was always looking for more variety and quality! Similarly, on the subject of quality, be ready for paper table covers and napkins. As you can read in all my other hotel reviews I totally get involved in animation activities. I'm sorry, Craig is a lovely one man show that had commitments elsewhere that week, which meant adjustments during the daytime programming and I was disappointed. However the evening entertainment was good. Quizzes (not my scene), but the shows were very entertaining and enjoyable with excellent Medplaya dancers and singers. Two fab singers who have dance background and me eyes keep going towards the dark and the blonde dancers depending on the number. Also the evenings with the professional singers were on par with or were actually in the clubs round the main strip. Would I go back? I do not think so. Sorry but that is still in the balance and could only be tipped with price!More

Good Location poor food

Turn left outside the hotel and right on the English strip. Turn right and your on the main road. Over the main road and down and you hit the beach. The location is brilliant. The hotel is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The meals were the only let down. We didn't go into the restaurant four nights out of the even we stayed, The food was that bad. Yorkshire puddings and either beef or pork on the nights we went in. We went in two of those nights and walked right back out.More

visitor to the restaurant

we are frequent visitors to this restaurant as it is open to the public for dining. It is 8 euros each which gives you access to the full buffet which is soup, fresh salads and cooked meats, freshly cooked meats, as well as curry/stew, vegetables and potatoes, which huge choice of fresh fruit, cakes, etc. Fantastic value for money. Also on a friday evening there is a Gala dinner which features, fresh prawns and smoked salmon, entrecote steak and a chocolate fountain on top of all of the above but it is 10 euros. Although we havent stayed here, I highly recommend the food.More

Another Great Holiday...

Just back from another stay at the Ruidor. Had a great time food still good seemed to be more roasts on the show cooking this year. Staff still hard working and friendly. We upgraded once again to all inclusive and glad we did. We could stay in the relative calm of the hotel have cheap drink and watch some excellent shows. Compared by the cheery Craig, a great improvement from shouty Monica from last year. Heard a rumour that the pool might be renovated this winter, hope so, IMO the deep pool is the only fault with this brilliant hotel and removing the fence and sloping it would be a great improvement especially with the older infirm guests. Having said that the clientele was a lot younger this year which was also good, but even better no screaming kids or stags, long may it continue. See you again at New Year, can't wait to return, We booked direct and were placed on the 8th floor in the newly renovated rooms. Was dreading the wait for lifts but surprisingly they were quite quick and frequent. Service for All Inclusive was also excellent very quick and courteous.More
