Hotel Riudor

This hotel takes you to the heart of New Benidorm, and it’s just a short hop to the beach.

This adults-only hotel is about as peaceful as it gets. Many guests are regulars who come twice or even 3 times a year. It’s all down to the great pool, and elegant little buffet restaurant.

The hotel’s in a prime spot in the heart of New Benidorm. You’re in the thick of all the pubs, bars and cabaret clubs, as well as being around the corner from the golden-sand Levante Beach.

Changed a bit since our last visit.

We stayed at the riudor from sept 2 cnd to 16th. We were in room 806 which suited us as we prefer a high floor. The noise at night was loud,as all the entertainment was outside still at this time of year. We usually don't go till mid sept onwards by which time it's all inside and a lot quieter. The entertainment hasn't changed at all so if you're like us and go every year you're seeing the same things which you do get a bit sick of. This was our 5th time here and none of the entertainment had changed except for the lad that runs it,he tries his best but struggles a bit. However Jose does the daytime and he s fine. All the staff apart from an odd one are all friendly, the weather was very hot ,now I know why we wait till later on to go. The food was ,well ok but I think it has gone downhill a bit. The bar staff seems to have been cut a bit and sometimes there was only one behind the bar. They have to serve drinks tea coffee and collect glasses in and wipe tables which leave you standing at the bar waiting till he comes back to serve you. They do great considering. Would I go back ? Not sure yet. One more thing I think they need to do is give free wi fi all throught the hotel, yes it's free in reception only but it's just about useless. They charge 10 euros for three days but I think they need to upgrade to free all through the hotel. We found the Thomson rep very nice ,she was always a happy little thing and always spoke to everyone.More

Value hotel

Just back from a weeks stay at this hotel. I was at this hotel two years ago and it's looking a little tired round the edges. The beds are still hard but they are updating to memory foam although it took us four days to get a change of mattress as there are not enough to go round. Food is still alright but not as good as it was, but still enough choice. Great position on the Benidorm strip if you want to be where the action is, not if you want early, quiet nights! Nice pool, no trouble with sunbeds, at least for us. Would recommend this hotel for value.More

Julie H,

great base

Great base for hotel, rooms cleaned daily by a lovely lady , met some lovely people overall staff friendly bar staff could do with smiling a little also can have to wait a while to be served but that's not there fault as only one usually serving but downfall has to be the food breakfast great but that's it pork loin beef steaks so thin also chicken everyday in different sauces lunch is till 3.15 went to eat at 2.30 what left starting to curl up not even chicken breast it was legs would love to of stayed again but need to rethink menu this was a mixed feeling by a lot of quests, entertainment is nil during day only french bowls , and a quiz in the evening that last at least hour half if not longer this was every night , some of the acts later were ok but not as good as the club's next doorMore

Fantastic hotel, very clean, staff very friendly. Would definately go back. Entertainment in the hotel every night, we were on 8th floor smack above the entertainment, could hardly hear anything once the balcony doors were shut. 5*More

Debbie A,

7 years and still going.

This was our 7th consecutive year going to this hotel- including our honeymoon! I agree that the walls are thin and the hotel is looking a little dated but the staff and facilities that we like to use are spot on. Maids, bar staff, reception staff and restaurant staff are very friendly and will try their best to make your visit as comfortable as possible, We had a booking glitch this time on communication regarding the side/room we would have liked to have been on as communication between Thomson's special request e-mail and the hotel was 'mis-laid' The hotel reception stressed we could alter on the earliest change over day and indeed Mouse the Thomson rep actually sorted for us to get moved a day earlier.(Thanks) This is a simple pleasure for me looking down Gerona street and made my holiday when that was achieved. The change of sunbeds from plastic to new cloth ones meant we spent more time around the pool this time. I don't personally go to Benidorm for the Hotel entertainment as there is a whole raft of nightly entertainment in Benidorm every night! I would normally rate very good but I have to say that there is a potential food hygene issue in the basement restaurant that needs to be addressed quickly to avoid it becoming a major problem. I did tactfully report this to the med playa rep and hope she passed on my observations for the good of the hotel reputation and the wellbing of its customers. They work very hard to make you feel special at this hotel with a true adult only hotel, yet family value ethos and have already booked again for next year!More
