Hotel Rio Park

You'll find stylish, modern décor at this popular hotel, along with easy access to Benidorm's main strip.

This imposing building might look like a typical Benidorm hotel from the outside. But, thanks to a refurb, inside it's all funky retro-style sofas and contemporary cream lounge chairs. The big pool is one of the highlights.

Location-wise, you're in a quiet road less than a 10-minute walk from Benidorm's major bars and restaurants. And when you want to hit the sands, Levante Beach is a 15-minute walk away.

3rd Time at the Rio Park

We have just returned from a week at the Rio Park 9-16 Dec 14, this is our 3rd stay there in 4 yrs and have always been in the winter. Had a great week the hotel is situated within easy access to the Beach (5-10min) Night Life (5min) New Town (15-20min) and Old Town (15-20min) with a few local bars and shops on the door step. The Hotel is fairly basic but clean and has most of what you will need, the staff are all very nice and helpful, the Night Time Entertainment in the hotel has definitely improved since our last visit now having acts on that you used to have to go to Sinatra's or Cafe Benidorm to see, and Bar prices very reasonable (excellent in happy hour!!) this does now mean that quite often in the evenings the main bar room is full and sometimes quite a queue for the Bar. Rooms are basic but again clean and a reasonable size - perhaps the bathrooms could do with a bit of a spruce up. Food - there seems to be a lot of complaints about the food, but I think this is mainly down to personal taste - It's perhaps a bit more Spanish now. We found it fine and there was always someting nice to eat (obviously some meal times the choice was better than others) and one improvement we did find was that if you went down later on in the meal time there was still plenty of choice available, on previous visits sometimes the choice would be limited later in the meal session. Would we go again -- definitely...More

Good value, well situated

This was our first visit to this hotel. It was well situated close to the market, beach front and within walking distance of the old town. There are plenty of amenities in the hotel including three bars, a shop, various lounges, vending machines and a pool. The rooms were cleaned daily and were always to an excellent standard. If I could give this 6 stars for having curtains and black out curtains I would....this is the best hotel ever for these!! The beds were twin beds and weren't the most comfortable. It's a little worn with patched up bedspreads and older beds. The towels were also a little worn and a few with holes. Larger and fluffier towels would be much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and the food was ok as a self serve buffet with a decent choice on most days. A little too many pork dishes for my tastes. For the price we paid for the holiday it was excellent value.More

First time at the Rio Park

First time at the Rio and first time in Benidorm. The view from the 7th floor balcony like looking out over Los Angeles and didn't get much sun. Serve yourself food was great apart from a Spanish omelette which was quite rubbery after being kept on the warmer for a while. Staff were very good and the rooms cleaned every day. The entertainment was very good and the Entertainment crew deserve a special mention as their shows were probably the best all week. During our stay the lifts seemed to develop a mind of their own; ascending and descending plus stopping and starting at floors in what appeared to be a quite erratic manner. However, this tiny quirk eventually became quite endearing and a source of much amusement. Would I go again?...Yes. Would I stay at the Rio again?...Yes, certainly.More

Value for money holiday

Had a recent 3 week holiday here. Food really good. Location fairly good. Only downside, which probably a lot of hotels have, is that you can hear people in the adjoining rooms, ie going to bathroom, switching lights on, mumbled conversation. But for the price paid, it was worth tolerating. The room we had got no sun at all during the day, so request a pool facing room if available.More
