Hotel Rio Park

You'll find stylish, modern décor at this popular hotel, along with easy access to Benidorm's main strip.

This imposing building might look like a typical Benidorm hotel from the outside. But, thanks to a refurb, inside it's all funky retro-style sofas and contemporary cream lounge chairs. The big pool is one of the highlights.

Location-wise, you're in a quiet road less than a 10-minute walk from Benidorm's major bars and restaurants. And when you want to hit the sands, Levante Beach is a 15-minute walk away.

This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.

Having travelled the world on holiday for the past 30 years, booking a late deal in Spain in early April can be a gamble, but we really did hit the jackpot by selecting the Rio Park for the first time. Being able to check in at 12 noon after an early morning flight is a bonus. Check in was quick and carried out efficiently by very pleasant reception staff for which nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. We were allocated room 1017. The main area was spotless and very spacious with ample wardrobe and drawer space. The beds were very comfortable. The balcony is a reasonable size and although not facing the pool had the advantage of catching the late afternoon/evening sun. The bathroom was again spotless and roomy and although the bath/shower looks a little tired everything worked fine. With room service daily and towels changed on request, this accommodation was more than adequate for our needs. The buffet restaurant is large and roomy, staffed by a very amicable and hardworking team. Although the hotel was full and we varied our meal times, there were always tables available. The food choice is plentiful, well cooked, hot and we did not go hungry. The Friday evening gala night is the highlight of the week but I must especially mention the fact that they opened almost 2 hours earlier than normal on our last morning to feed people leaving for the airport - a great gesture. The bar and entertainment area is always busy and the staff have the impossible job of 'trying to please all of the people, all of the time'. The bar is well stocked and very reasonably priced while the entertainment is varied and generally good. We particularly enjoyed the late night comedian and Carlos 'the soul man'. For people who want to venture outside, we recommend the Morgan Tavern and Jokers which both have excellent entertainment although the drinks are more expensive (but not excessive). The pool area is excellent with a large pool (still cold in early April, but a great hangover cure) that has a separate children's area, plenty of chairs and sunbeds with a large well stocked bar/snack bar at the same prices as inside the hotel. Finally, the Thomson reps who are happy and hard working. They answered all of our questions, were around the hotel a lot and always left a contact number when unavailable. In summary: An excellent weeks stay. Well done Rio Park, well done Thomson, we will be back.More

A quick cheapy

Having paid very little for a last minute holiday, what a surprise, hotel clean albeit needs a little updating not bad at all.some of the reviews I read were of putting and I kept looking for problems none at all. Food was ok with a gala dinner included, bar drinks very cheap. Bar,reception and resturant staff all good, would come again. Entertainment not bad eitherMore

Good all rounder

Our 2nd visit you this hotel, slightly uphill but a great central hotel for both the new and old town if you want to stay on the lavante side of Benidorm . The food is good, accommodation fine and for the price a well worth it bargain.More

We are currently staying in the Rio Park after booking a last minute holiday at a silly price and wasn't expecting much. Value for money is an understatement! Food has been great, how some people can complain baffles me. Lovely fresh salads, prawns, mussles, roasts, chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows name just a few. Room is clean with bath and shower. Staff are helpful and friendly, drinks very reasonable and the entertainment better than any 4 star I have ever stayed in! Thank you Rio Park for a great week and although Benidorm is not my favourite place in the world I would definitely come back if a deal came up again. More
