They say it’s what’s on the inside that counts – and that’s certainly true of this place. From the outside, it’s a typical high-stacked Benidorm hotel. But inside, it’s recently had a serious makeover – especially the shared areas. The bar, for example, has a funky retro vibe, with orange and white chairs. Likewise the lobby and lounge have a stylish edge, with geometric sofas and low-slung armchairs. Rooms, meanwhile, are quite simple, but are kitted out with the essentials like air-conditioning and satellite TV.
The hotel scores points for location, too. It manages to walk the line between ‘in a secluded spot’ and ‘in the heart of the action’. You’ll find it on a quiet road that’s only about a ten-minute walk to the main bars and restaurants of Benidorm. Another ten and you’ll be at Levante Beach.
As for the pool here, it’s a decent size and is split into three separate sections. You’ll also find a pool bar, serving up pizzas and toasted sandwiches during the day.
On the subject of food, buffet meals are served in the restaurant. Like most parts of the hotel, it’s been given the minimalist treatment. Rounding things off there’s a British pub, where you’re guaranteed a decent pint.

I had such a good time 8 weeks ago that i decided to came again on 28th Jan 2014 just to see if my first visit had been a fluke. No it hadn't. This hotel will do all it can to help you have a pleasant stay, i even had a complimentary bottle of wine because they were unable to accommodate me in a room that i had requested, food is still plentiful but some dishes still need to be warmer. The weather wasn't as warm as November but there were still plenty of sunbeds available for when the sun appeared. Rooms are basic but very clean as is all the public areas and the staff are all so friendly with some ex-pats employed on reception so you can always get your point across if you do have a concern.I don't think you can get better value for money anywhere else in Benidorm. Looking foreward to my next visit in November.More

Went in January great week. Food was top class as usual rooms possibly in need of update but clean an well decorated. Towel change daily, beds once a week, cleaners do a top job. Restaurant is better than many 4 & 5 star hotels in Benidorm. Staff are so helpful and the manager (who retires soon) all do a great job. Free Wifi in reception and again staff great. Bar staff again so courtious and the new Connections bar is cheap. Lager €1.50 a pint other drinks are all as cheap as the outside bard. Already booked for later this year full marks.More
late summer holiday
we stayed at the rio park for 7 days in october we had stayed there about 15 years ago but what a d ifference the room was lovely and the food realy good plenty of choices the entertainment was first class also there was a room for bingo each night so it did not interfere with other guests also a couple pubs on the end of the hotel where you could watch football if you wished while the big hall catered for music and shows the price of drinks were good to cheaper than some pubs outside we will be backMore

Great value hotel
Stayed here for 3 weeks in February. Was my first stay here and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Plenty of food choices and mostly hot and tasty. Rooms basic but kept very clean. Shower was always warm but was situated in centre of bath making washing a bit awkward. Entertainment was not my cup of tea but the hotel is only a short walk away from Benidorms nightlife. Really enjoyed the sun terrace overlooking the pool area. Always busy and good for a blether. The drink prices in all of the bars was excellent with plenty of TVs showing sports.More
We have just returned from the Rio Park, a week ago and I have been on a number of occasions at various times of the year. The hotel is just as freindly and clean as always. I have now stared requesting a certain room, because I like the pool veiw and a high floor, they have always tried to put me in the room I have requested, or as near to it as possible! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, also I have noticed that the staff are still working there as they were years ago, so the company must be good to work for, infact the manager retired yesterday after 43years!! That must say something! It is light and airy, I know the rooms are basic, but clean, with everything you need and not too small! The only "complaint" if you can call it that, was that in our room we hadn't got a flat screen TV like in other rooms, but not a problem really as you don't go on holiday to watch telly!! It is full of elderly peopl in winter, but not in the summer months! They have a large pool with a very spacious surrounding area, which has ample sunbeds and a brilliant sun terrace! It was a surprise to us, as on this visit, we only just realised it was classed as a 2*, we have stayed in lots of different hotels in Benidorm and I would not have said it was only a 2*!! Well worth the money! We are returning again at Easter and for two weeks in summer. If you stay at the hotel quite a lot, they have anaward scheme where you can get points for each visit and they can be used for different things, especially if you let them accumilate, on our next visit our points will allow us to have a safe free of charge for our two weeks stay! You can use them for various things, drinks, Tee-shirts, caps etc, not bad for nothing!! The food is good, variety and quality are definately a 3* standard! Plenty of lifts, the glass ones are especially nice as you get a nice veiw while ascending! Just hope the standards don't drop once Jose has left! They will have a hard job to replace him.More
