You'll find stylish, modern décor at this popular hotel, along with easy access to Benidorm's main strip.
This imposing building might look like a typical Benidorm hotel from the outside. But, thanks to a refurb, inside it's all funky retro-style sofas and contemporary cream lounge chairs. The big pool is one of the highlights.
Location-wise, you're in a quiet road less than a 10-minute walk from Benidorm's major bars and restaurants. And when you want to hit the sands, Levante Beach is a 15-minute walk away.
This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.

Nice Hotel - But Very Noisy Rooms!
This was our first visit to Benidorm after an absence of nearly 35 years and also our first stay at the Rio Park hotel.
We travelled with Thomson and the whole experience went smoothly - until we arrived at reception for check in! We had read of the delays in previous Trip Advisor reviews but we waited effectively for nearly three and a half hours as the staff were just overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers. Evidently on Tuesdays there are about 3 flights arrive in the morning with more in the afternoon & evening. We gave up for an hour or 2 to grab some lunch and a cold beer before returning to the interminable queue!
Rooms - The hotel itself is massive - 12 floors plus chalets but the rooms are clean and very comfortable. The only downside - and this has been mentioned many times before by previous reviewers - is the lack of room noise insulation. Every conversation/TV programme/Radio/MP3/Mobile phone call can be heard through the paper thin walls and unfortunately there is no escape from it! The balcony provided the only respite - but then you're at the mercy of the outside bar and road noises. If you have inconsiderate "neighbours" (WE Did!) then sleep is impossible. Enough griping - we were advised to drink more and sleep through the noise in an alcoholic haze!
Restaurant - The restaurant was superb - the quality and selection of meals was outstanding. With seating for over 700 diners the staff did a superb job keeping all the buffet dishes topped up. A Gala dinner is held every Friday night with many different dishes made available plus the chef's show cooking specials. One pleasant surprise is the mandatory hand hygiene which all diners must use before entering the restaurant. I can't remember seeing anything like that except outside of a hospital ward.
Bar - The bar/entertainment areas were generally good. The bar service was quick and cheerful, unfortunately the seats for the nightly entertainment were quickly filled by the early diners and you struggled to find a seat. Not a problem as the entertainment in the local bars was also very good.
Area - One godsend (for us anway!) is that Bingo is illegal in Benidorm hotels!! The Bingo faithful have to find a bar to play their beloved game in. That was a good topic for heated conversation with the bingo lovers! Another emotive subject was the introduction of a ban on "Madge Mobiles" (Mobility Scooters) which are seen racing around the Benidorm streets. This took effect from 1 May this year in some Benidorm hotels.
Summary - All in all we had a great holiday at a very reasonable price, but we will not return to the Rio Park primarily because of the excessive noise heard between the rooms.
Room Tips -
1. High floor with a pool view
2. Take a kettle - there are no tea/coffee facilities providedMore
Good value for money
Picked this hotel out based on Trip Advisor reviews and was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is officially 2 star which is unusual for Thomsons but according to the rep this is because the single rooms are not wide enough by 1 metre!
The hotel entrance is some 100 metres from the nearest road, down "the yellow brick road"
Rooms are a reasonable size with a small flat screen TV on the wall. A room safe will set you back 17.5 euros a week with a deposit of 5. We didn't bother with a fridge as we were told to hire one would be around 3-3.5 euros a day plus deposit.
Food was mainly plain fare but tasty and varied every night. We had roast beef on 2 nights which was great.
The drinks were really good value, with a bottle of wine 4.5 euros.
There is a large sun deck and an even larger concrete area round the pool. Pity there is not a bit more grass!.
Entertainment was good although we preferred the smaller "Rio connection " at pool level which had some tribute acts on.
The hotel was kept very clean by the maids.
Weather was mixed whilst we were there so we spent som time walking around.
I would put the hotel as a good 3 star but add to that cheap booze and entertainment and I'd lift it to 3.5.More
Another enjoyable holiday
Once again, another delightful holiday at the Rio Park. Second time this year. Excellent service again.Evening entertainment very enjoyable. Nice to see the Friendly Staff, especially Susanna at the Reception. I will be returning to the Rio Park again soon.More
Stated at this hotel from the 23 April for one week, hotel is very busy and staff in all departments cope very well, hotel is very clean, but a bit dated, but I do believe they have started to modernise it, there is 12 floors and only 5 lifts so sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, we were a party of 7 and on the 6th floor, on many an occasions we walked down the stair as we got fed up waiting, we were full board and can't fault the food plenty choice and very tasty, I would recommend this hotel and I most definitely will go back More
