Not so happy holidaymakers
First impressions at reception very polite checked into our room (clean) we were half board but the food was poor quality and lack of choice so after a few days we ate out for the rest of the week now for the room the walls are paper thin and you could here the people through the wall talking it's as if the were in our room or in our balcony, so all in all we won't be back to the Regente I hope this helps people make up there minds when booking this Hotel More
Just come back
We stayed for five nights on half board basis. The breakfasts were fine with a typical English menu for a mainly British clientele and the staff were polite. The evening menu we found a little disappointing and ate out. The pool was very very cold and with some of the other guests being loud and foul mouthed we decided to go to the beach and chill out there. Our room was small, tidy and cleaned daily and the beds were comfortable. There is a room safe to hire for 3 euro a day with a 10 euro deposit. The room has air conditioning. The walls are thin and we could hear everything next to and around us. The corridor was very noisy with children playing football along it and running up and down screaming and late at night or early morning when the night club revellers fell in singing at the top of their voices. The hotel has a lift for all to use but be prepared to wait a little at busy peak times as for us it was just as easy to use the stairs. Free wifi is available and to get the code just use a machine near the reception desk. A range of nightly entertainment in the hotel bar is a good choice but very loud and the bar is well stocked. There is a couple of pool tables and Internet games for a small cost. I don't know if we would come back here again but if you want a cheap holiday this hotel is ok.More
1 week stay at the regente
Me and my wife had a weeks stay at the regent and found it to be a very nice hotel all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. the room was very clean and beds were comfy also the food was very nice the entertainment was ok but we did not see too much of it as we were out most of the time over all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotelMore
The hotel is conveniently located with friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi was much appreciated. There was plenty of choice in the dining room but we did dine as early as possible to get the food at its freshest. Bucks Fizz at breakfast was a nice touch, as was the Cava with the one evening meal.More
I am currently in the hotel and my overall review is good. The rooms are clean, the location is central, the reception area is bright and modern, the gent receptionists are polite and knowledgable. We are staying all inclusive and despite not drinking much I'm sure you could find something for everyone. Food we think is quite good. I am used to staying in a higher star establishment and I must admit everyday I find something nice to eat. Breakfast is good also. The staff in the restaurant are efficient. The lifts are tedious and could do with attention or renovation. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything next door, but it actually didn't bother us at all, and have slept very well each night, no problem. The pool is the area I don't like, could do with a refurb and the snack pool bar attendant that I've seen twice is rude. Mumbling in Spanish behind the British kids back when asking for snacks to early, I admit that job must be stressful but don't do it if you are going to be a miserable difficult person, your brand Med Playa pay you to be nice and serve their customers. I would come back to this hotel for an amazing value deal! That is what it is, excellent value, and you can't deny that. More
