not bad but would not return
travelled with my fiancee her sister and 2 kids for 10 nights firstly the hotel itself is very clean the food is ok but do not cater very well for young children my kids had to live on chips for their lunch and dinner dress code at dinner time a bit to strict as you cant wear a vest to dinner if you are a male which in the summer months i think is a bit unfair the rooms are tiny and you can here word for word the conversations in neighbouring rooms room was never cleaned properly for the whole 10 nights although towels where always changed apart from once but where swiftly changed on request pool area is great although hard to get a sun bed they should really look into doing something about people reserving sundbeds with towels and not returning most of the day entertainment was fantastic the team work really hard to provide the shows must put in hours of rehersal the disney show was amazing and enjoyed by all drinks are not bad either also was denied a late check out this is the very first hotel i have been refused in so was dissapointed made my last day terrible i have stayed in better hotels for less cost so for this reason i would not return but i would not tell people to stay away as the hotel do work hard and it is ok just not for meMore

NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN.. SO DISAPOINTED
chose this hotel after seeing all the reviews from returning guests. i now regret booking all inclusive here. to start the holiday, after a 3 hour delay we arrived at the hotel at 9.10pm, most hotels i have been to restaurants are open untill 9.30 or 10.00pm. 6 adults and 2 children on arrival we was given a paper bag with dry bread and a slice of ham, a warm yoghurt, and a badly bruised apple. mmmmm just what you need when you havnt ate for over 8 hours. a nice thought, but i think this needs changing. we was checked in by juan.. what a lovely polite guy he is.. just a shame that most of the other staff wasnt as polite. we are a well traveled family that has been to many countries and hotels. so here is our review.. rooms.. very clean on arrival, but as the holiday goes on the cleanlieness goes down hill. the beds are very comfortable which was nice. but we only got one change of sheets in 2 weeks! 2 days before we was due to leave. the smell of sweat on the sheets was not a nice thing to lie on every night. the walls are paper thin, and i mean thin. you can hear conversations in the next rooms as if they are in the same room as you. it is hard to get a decent nights sleep with the neighbours having sexy time,or snoring or the noise off the landings late at night. on 2 occasions my son in law had to get security at 1.30 am to sort out the noise as he had a baby sleeping. so take earplugs. bars and staff. johnny and ian are a great pair of lads and are polite and smiling all the time. most of the others where not very polite. my 10 year old son was playing pool with a couple of other kids , my son being the only child on all inclusive out of them, and miguel refused to serve my son with cold soft drinks so that he couldnt give them to the kids that wasnt inclusive. not that he would do that anyway, he's a child for god sake. entertainment. the animation team work hard to please, and do put on some good shows. there are also other artists/ singers most evenings which are ok. NAXTO the kids entertainer. HATS OFF TO HIM, HE WORKS SO HARD. hotel regente, NAXTO IS AN ABSOLUTE CREDIT TO THIS HOTEL. complete dedication to you from him. pool. pool is great, and spotless. cleaned everyday. and clean all around the pool area. the sunbed reserving is a joke. as with all hotels, sunbeds are not to be reserved. yet if you dont grab them by 7am then its hard to get one at all.inconsiderate half board guests reserve sunbeds, go for breakfast then go out to the shops, bars or wherever most of the day, return late afternoon pick up their towels and go without evening sitting on the sunbeds at all. taken up all day with no use. all inclusive guests that stay at the hotel all day then got no sunbeds to use.when i sit there and use them all day then i will reserve them !! im not paying over £2600 to sit on the floor for 2 weeks. restaurant. here was the disapointing part of the holiday. i dont understand how people could say that there was a huge amount of choice. in 2 weeks my family ate in the restaurant 3 maybe 4 times. the choice is very limited. fish come out in every style, even fish in the pasta. if your a meat lover dont expect a meat feast, if you like fish then you'll be good. there is no CHILDRENS FOOD AREA..our kids had to live on chips from the pool bar.out of all of the countries and hotels i have stayed in over the last 20 odd years the regente is the only hotel not to have a CHILDRENS FOOD AREA. needs to be more family orientated. i have another reservation booked at this hotel which i booked a few months ago for october (hope i havnt made a mistake) which was going to be a surprise for my wife for our wedding anniversary,i have only booked bed and breakfast and was going to upgrade to all inclusive when we arrive. dont think i will pay all inclusive here again until there is more variety. ive lost enough money on this holiday by having to eat out and make sure the kids had a decent meal daily. medplayer has a good reputation, but i think this hotel could let the chain down if things dont improve. my oldest son has stayed in medplayer hotels in benidorm and have said the quality and variety of food in the regente is nowhere near as good as in the flamingo oasis, rio park. ect.. overall.. had a good holiday here. hotel is spotless all round ( except our beds in the room) this hotel could be so much better.its in a perfect location, some great staff. i am staying again in october, and probably will again in the future, but i will take the B&B option, and eat out for main meals.. i have gone on enough now..im not set out to offend anyone but this is mine and my families honest review and opinion. i hope this helps.. any questions i will gladly answer them.More
Good, clean hotel, near all amenities. Food great, something for everyone, don't know why some people complain! Themed nights especially good, roast beef was best I've every had. Towels changed every day in room. Bought a kettle for 10 euros to make drinks in room. Beds comfy, we didn't hear any noise next door or in corridors. We always managed to get sunbeds without reserving them with towels, but we weren't fussy as to where they were. The terraced area is much quieter, ideal if you don't have small children. Entertainment good, the team work very hard, especially Natxo, he obviously loves his job. We would definitely stay here again.More

We have just returned from this hotel travelled with Jet 2 got to hotel at about 1pm checked straight in. Good points .Room bit dated but clean and fresh. Usual wardrobe cupboard space we overlooked the front of the hotel quite quiet slept with patio door open every night. Rooms cleaned everyday and even if we had hung up towels they were replaced. Rest of hotel was also very clean. As is the norm these days you would have to pay extra for fridge etc. The food was good little limited on choice but for the size of the hotel would expect this. The restaurant manager and staff were excellent nothing too much trouble. Low points. Biggest one would be sunbeds there were people there at 6am putting towels on so by 8 there was usually nothing left or just the odd one. This seemed to cause concern for some. We sat on the decked area used at night time for entertainment seating and never had any trouble getting a sunbed there. All in all a lovely hotel excellent value for money would definitely return More
