Noise spoils anything worth good about it
I'm 28 and my partner is 25 just been to this hotel April 10th to 13th! Now im not going to go into much detail about what was good about This hotel as one major problem over rules anything that could be good, and that's noise! We are mature for our age and know how to respect others but not everyone is like that, we tip toed along the corridor when we were coming in at 4am! But we must of been the only ones who did this, hotel was mixed but mainly groups (large ones), I've been to loads of hotels where this isn't a problem even when they are noisy, the main problem being the hotel room walls, they are stud walls, for anyone who doesn't understand a stud wall its a wood frame with plasterboard type then plastered! Basically thin, We were in room 703, room 704 the bed was back to back with ours old couple but by god did he snore and it feels like he was lying beside me! Room 702 had a need to keep the TV on 24/7 same again the TV is back to back so speaker is directly hitting into your room, twice had to complaint once at 4am and yesterday Sunday at 2am, don't get me wrong hotel was really fast when I rang Down to reception and they were there knocking on the door within minutes! On the first visit the lad was flat out and didn't answer so they cut the electric off from the passage which was supplying 702 on the switch in the cupboard! Until this hotel sorts out the sound problems I would never return, and I would imagine no one else will! As you know you are going to kept awake! Even people talking in there rooms echo's into your room word for word, now mix this with guest under alcohol it's 10 times worse! Only went in the restaurant once, only because it was so cheap to eat out etc so that was my choice, nice and clean and loads of choice though on the one visit we went in, and one thing I did noticed and never seen this on any hotel I've been in before, at the entrance they had automatic hand sanitiser's which is an excellent idea and the member of staff on the door makes sure everyone had to use it before entering the dining area! Hotel is really clean and nice location just such a shame thin walls spoil it! Weather it be people passing in the corridor the rooms above, below left or right or even outside you are and WILL hear them no matter what time of day It is!More

Rude bar staff
A regular to Benidorm. This hotel was well below our expectations. The the worst hotel we've stayed at in Spain. The worst thing being the rude staff in both the bar and restaurant. The food in the restaurant was horrible. Tasted like reheated left overs. Another big concern we had was a disabled room we had booked for a couple in our party. We did our research and they claim to have disabled rooms in thier hotel. This is why we booked this hotel We were not given a disabled room. We were given a large room. But still had a standard toilet and bath. You can get better hotels around this price range in Benidorm. Overall a bad experience.More

Not signposted properly, not a great experience
A mixed group of 20 went for Easter to Benidorm and stayed in the Hotel Regente. Despite emailing the hotel a number of weeks prior to our arrival requesting rooms on the same floor, we were all over the hotel. The dining area also could not arrange 2 tables of 10 for our meals again despite asking and checking with the restaurant manager on arrival. My main gripe about this hotel is that the transfer buses stop on the main street near the hotel sign but the sign has no indication on it that the actual entrance to the hotel is round the corner in the next street. It is an easy mistake to try and enter the hotel via the 'back' gate which is locked and coded. One of my party made this mistake and fell back down the steps resulting in two broken fingers and a dislocated thumb! This disaster could be prevented by adding something to the main sign, at lease an arrow pointing people in the right direction. Onto the hotel itself, overall clean but the maids only squish through and clean your room during your stay. The addition of a kettle would be very welcome. Rooms were adequate, with a reasonable sized bathroom. Some of my party were all inclusive and some were half board, the difference in the quality of the drinks is clearly apparent especially when you watch one of the bar staff add water to a bottle of Bacardi! The food in the restaurant was overall good however, a word of warning, if you come down to breakfast after 9.15am there will most likely be no coffee or hot water left in the machines. Reception staff were very helpful, bar staff very surly. Entertainment in the hotel of an evening was very good albeit we didn't stay in the hotel of an evening many times. The walls of the rooms are paper thin!! A friend and I were talking in my room and 3 times Security asked us to talk quieter, we are not a group of teens, we are all in our 50's so felt that this was unnecessary at the time. Wifi is only free in reception area and is a poor quality connection, 15euro will secure you a connection for the week but on one device only. Pool area was clean but a lack of cushions for the sun loungers meant that most of my party found them uncomfortable. This hotel could go a long way to make it more hospitable, it is however in a good location.More
