Hotel levante park
Lovely hotel with nice food. However my only criticism is that after travelling since 2am from my home address to the hotel, arriving at midday ish, our room was still not available. Waiting in the foyer with luggage and feeling extremely tired wasn't the best start to our holiday.More

4 Star...................so near but yet so far...!
It was our first time in Benidorm so our expectations of the Levante Club were perhaps optimistic as we'd been recommended to it by some friends of ours that had stayed previously. Situated on the 13th floor we had a great view of the skyscrapers in the background and the street noise that emanates from below isn't to obtrusive.
The phrase "it is not possible" is well practiced from behind the reception. inevitably the resulting reaction varies depending on the context in which it's delivered!
One of there saving graces is the speed at which they react to isssues, "I will call the engineer" is another favourite comment and one that we experienced a few times! In fact the engineer is on permanent call out, armed with walkie talkie and tool box..........he needs to be!
We arrived celebrating our wedding anniversary of 33 years and mentioned it to the reception on arrival, we weren't expecting a complimentary bottle of champagne with chocolates and a huge bouquet to be thrust into the wife's arms, nor were we expecting the room upgrade either!, which was just as well, as we didn't receive them nor did we get a "congratulations". We had been looking forward to a double bed but had two singles in our room!!!!!!!
I enquired about the possibility of a room with a double and surprisingly discovered that there was only four double beds in the entire hotel, and none were available!
One of the advantages of having clean fellow guests is that sharing a lift with them is an acceptable experience, and I'd have had no issues with those on the 14th floor who patently were so well scrubbed they even managed to send some of there bath water through our bathroom ceiling!
Again the engineers were visiting!
We were offered an alternative room down on one of the steerage levels so we declined and within a couple of days we were well and truly plastered but not in the sense we'd envisaged prior to arrival.
As previously mentioned if want a kettle for the week, you hire one!
If you go across the road to the Chinese emporium you can buy one for approximately the same price and it will be yours to keep for ever !
The rooms are limited for plug sockets, roll on the Chinese emporium again..........extension cables for 3.5 euros upwards!
The mini bar is there, only you have to pay for the key, and if your going to do that you might as well have the drinks package for a few euro more!
And don't be surprised that the minibar doesn't keep your drinks cool as the performance of ours was pants! and by all accounts that was the norm and it was a bit smelly!
So why am I giving it four green circles, because despite the limitations of being understaffed, most of the staff try there level best to deliver. What this does show and it does it in spades is the lack of senior management involvement in the detail of this hotel. Not once did we see a senior manager on duty, that's not what you'd expect from a 4 star!
The restaurant staff were really pleasant and did there level best despite subtle and some not subtle complaints from some of the other guests. We personally found the food acceptable and were quite willing to make allowances due to the fact that its impossible to find home cooked British food, just like Granny used to make off our shores. Your in Spain, if you want a Curry that's second to none get a hotel in Bradford for the fortnight!
Top marks to Hector who my wife thinks the world of because he makes omelette's just the way she likes them.
Top marks to the lads on the bar who also do their level best to keep everybody happy despite being under pressure from the workload. And yes............the standard spirits are pretty rubbish but the Estrella beer and wine is OK........Is it worth the extra 8 euro's a day for the named brands? that's up to you to decide!
Top marks also to the lady who kept us supplied with fresh towels and perfectly made beds..........shame that's in the plural.
So what would be my recommendations for us to come back
1More double beds.
2 Visible management doing what there supposed to do.
3 Spruce up the rooms as there going tatty, pay attention to bathroom mirror condition, mould on the sealing strips on showers etc!
4 Keep the staff on the sharp end there doing there best.
5 Put kettles in rooms
6 Upgrade those stupid mini bars and forget the key hire rubbish...It's just petty!
7 And do you really need to charge for safe hire? your supposed to be a 4 star!
8 Upgrade the WiFi it's a joke, or supply all customers with the password for the Flamingo Oasis next door which has a better signal.More

First time in Benidorm
Very skeptical of coming to Benidorm but we had such a lovely time. The hotel was great with large, very clean, bedroom on the 14th floor - wonderful views from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, really tasty, and the porridge was out of this world! Travelled around a lot using the local bus which stopped just outside the hotel. The entertainment staff were just that - entertaining!More

Suprisingly good week long break
So, having never watched the show Benidorm, I was treated to a lovely rundown of what this place is supposed to be( Mobility scooters and Chavs dogging behind bins). My wife and I were very happily surprised with Benidorm on the whole. Firstly the Hotel, slightly dated but nothing that would impact your holiday at all. The staff are all very friendly and the hotel as a whole is very clean. The rooms are massive with a very nice glass door feature in the bathroom which has a bath/shower and separate shower, two sinks and the toilet. No rust dame although a couple of tiles were cracked- not that it really matters.
The bed were comfortable enough with enough pillows that I didnât feel like I was lying on a plank all night. The balconyâs again are massive and seem to be the standard across the hotel. There are âupgraded roomsâ which in my option are not worth the money as they are supposed to give only access to some more furniture and bathrobes. They wonât provide more sunlight on the balcony sue to the setup of the hotel floors. They do have the AMAZING rooms at a ridiculous extra cost which will give you your own Jacqui on you balcony.
The Drink: the beer is great, nice quality and easy to drink. That where the good news ends. Everything else on the STANDARD package is âweakerâ than you would find, I'm guessing 17% for vodka â I had a straight rum and it was certainly watery to the taste buds. However, you can upgrade to the premium package for £8 PD/PP which will give you the more known drinks you may want.
The Food is fine â some night I was really impressed with the quality and verity. If you can make a meal out of the selection they provide then I'm guess you could just ⦠starve. We did witness a couple of people complaining about the Local foodâ¦. â who would eat beef cheeks!?, I'm just going to have my crisps and mayonnaiseâ - not making that up.
The Pool is very nice and big enough to have a little swim, the sun loungers on the other hand are I'm high demand and low supply. My one complaint is that the staff do not enforce the rules about dumping towels and leaving for the day. We saw many a holiday goer dumping towels and not returning for hours while others had to lie on the grass. There is also the queâ¦â¦â¦. Having to make sure you set an alarm on holiday to ensure you are in the MASSIVE que at 8:30 to get a sun lounger does put a damper on what is otherwise a well-run hotel.
Benidorm town its self is really good. The hotel is only about a ten minute walk to the beach/strip. We found that nearly every bar put on a show which was very good. If you get the see the brothers at the Hard rock you will be in for a treat. Obviously the sticky Vicky shows and the extreme sex show drag in a special kind of client but they are easy to avoid. The touts in town were some of the nicest I have seen. They were run by the local council and simply and respectfully would tell â not shout, that a show would be starting soon and welcome to come in.
I would go back to Benidorm and this hotel. The only things to bring it down are the drinks packages and the pool ârulesâ nothing that would ruin a holiday.More
