Hotel Levante Club

Loading

The Hotel Levante is one of Benidorm’s most stylish properties. When it was built a few years ago, it set a new standard for cutting-edge design. Take the lobby, for instance. Step inside the revolving doors and you’re greeted by grand pillars, marble floors and ornamental fig trees. The pièce de résistance, however, is the colossal floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap themselves around the bottom of the hotel, flooding it with natural light.

The pool area is pretty plush, too. The swimming pool has an island in the middle with palm trees and polished pebbles, and the whole scene is surrounded by a terrace with chic linen parasols and sunloungers. The good looks continue in the spa and fitness centre. This mosaic-tiled haven of Turkish baths and thermal pools spreads out for 500 square metres. If you feel like treating yourself, you can take your pick from therapies like massages, mud treatments and aromatherapy.

In terms of rooms, the standard ones are fuss-free and dressed in neutral tones. They come with balconies, as well as little extras like internet connections and the option to have background music piped into your room. Upgrade to a superior room, and you can look forward to more space and luxury furnishings like plasma TVs.

On the food front, the restaurant strikes just the right note for laid-back dining. It serves up great buffet spreads for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with traditional Spanish dishes and international favourites among the offerings.

When it comes to getting out and about, the hotel is in the Rincon de Loix part of town, so a 15-minute walk will take you to Levante Beach. Plus, you’ll find a selection of bars and restaurants just metres away from the hotel.

Great Hospitality Great Food Great Attitude

Like other people we have spoken to at Levante Club & Spa, we will be staying here again. The warm welcome from the shining star that is Mourad (the wonderful gentleman on daytime reception); not just on arrival, but each and every day reflects the great hospitality of this hotel. Yes, we are paying for a holiday but this is the first time we have found a hotel which has got it as right as it can get whilst still maintaining the essential elements of kind humanity. Any issues were taken seriously and fixed promptly; for example: a nut had gone missing from one of the sunbeds on our balcony and the rubber seal on the bottom of the shower door was loose. I informed reception and both were replaced within an hour. This is the secret of a great hotel, not that things go wrong, but that they take your issue seriously and then do something about it in a timely fashion i.e. they make a promise and then deliver on the promise. Good food is an important factor for most people: the catering here is fresh and plentiful, with a core range offered daily e.g. fish always available at lunch and dinner, with differing meals rotated around the basic elements of vegetables and meat – you needn’t go hungry here. The gorgeous island of puddings has daily basics such as fresh and tinned fruit, yogurt, delicately luscious little cakes, chocolate brownies and every few days or so, my favourites: coconut macaroons. Ignore the nay-saysers who say the sweets are tasteless – the puds are flavoured as they should be, you just need to properly taste the morsels on your spoon or fork. Oh yes, there is also a hot pud at dinner – the apple crumble and custard was just fantastic – you only need a tiny dishful, but can go back for more (like everything else). It’s all-inclusive here - within the parameters provided e.g. local drinks and so I love the option of being able to purchase an additional bar card which means the international drinks can be used if preferred - we’ve found the local / national drinks more than adequate (the version of baileys is just yummy!). Another shining star is Alberto (in the reception bar). The daily and evening entertainment is great fun and very relaxing. The gym here (available for all guests, no charge) is just fabulous – full of top of the range stuff including free weights. The pool is unheated but plenty of people use it to cool off from the hot sun. No ball games / lilos allowed which means the pool area stays relaxing. Any negatives? Well not really – there is a noisy compactor at the side of the hotel but hey, that can’t be helped and the brain soon learns to tune it out. Back to the positives: positioning – the hotel is on a main road which runs straight down to the beach, close enough to walk, yet far enough away to avoid the noisy excesses of other people partying too hard ;-). We didn’t bring any heavy liquids in our luggage, preferring to use the weight allowance for shoes and clothes and struck lucky because there is a great supermarket right across the road. If you fancy a meal out, there is Thai, Chinese, Tapas, a Yorkshire bar (yes really) and a myriad other options to get your gums around. The famous Benidorm Palace is a five-minute walk up the road, past a circus. Finally, to mention the spa – I haven’t been in it yet, but it looks lovely and the spa reception staff are very keen to keep the area safe and healthy: you must take latex socks or can purchase them for around 3 euros. A circuit of the spa costs 10e to residents – one free circuit is provided if you are staying in a non-standard room such as Superior room. All in all, a fabulous hotel, just half an hour from Alicante airport. Tips: Remember that the staff are people like you, treat them and the hotel rules with respect e.g. it can’t be nice for the restaurant staff to have to stop you from leaving the dining room with food when there are signs clearly stating that this is not allowed. Same applies re taking a bottle of red or rose wine from the table – you may return to pour a fresh glass at any time whilst dining – the bottles are there for everyone and the rules apply to everyone. Oh and the same for dinner-time dress code (knee length or longer, for both men and women – you might think you look sexy, but most people don’t want to see what you had for breakfast ;-) . Just remembered: There is a lovely Wednesday market quite close by. Enjoy this lovely hotel.More

Levante Club and Spa Benidorm

Situated on edge of Benidorm so not busy or noisy, but near enough to walk into all the bars. It is just up the road from the Benidorm Palace, which is a very good dinner and show venue. The hotel is quite new with huge rooms with TV, air con and balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities available for 10 euros per week.Gorgeous bathrooms, with bath and shower, all very up to date Even shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, paste and comb plus hairdryer!.Meals very nice, lots to choose from and buffet style. All inclusive so drinks included from 2 bars, one inside and one next to pool.Staff very helpful and pleasant. No children allowed under 16 so pool area was quiet. About 20 minute walk to beach and around an hours walk to the old town and lovely viewing areas, we walk fairly slow tho! really enjoyed it and would definitely go again.More

Hotel Levante CLub and Spa, Benidorm

Excellent hotel, clean and well organised and very obliging staff. No children allowed. Stayed here 3 times last year and twice already this year. Love it! Easy location as a base for travelling. Meals always of a high standard-all buffet style and just help yourself to as much or as many times with drinks on tap. Rooms a good size and all with 2 single beds pushed together and balconys with clothes dryer. You do have to hire kettle facilities nowdays but at 10 euros for the week, this is not expensive if that service is required. Only downside is the hotel entertainment which is a bit lacking but there are plenty of nearby places to watch singers in the eve. Levi's to the left has good food and entertainment and there are lots of local clubs nearby as you take the walk into Benidorm. Took our 80 year old mother this last occasion and she loved it too. Supermarket opposite, chemist next door and hospital behind, so all bases covered. Worth upgrading to all inclusive.More

I would advise anyone to stay here. Immaculate throughout. Plenty of choice for food and drink for all invlusive. Great location. Close to shops, bars and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Cant wait to go back.More

Chel R,

Good Hotel

Very clean. Great bathroom with shower and shower over bath. Shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, comb and hairdryer provided. All south facing rooms so sun in evening on balcony but lower floors blocked by other hotels. Food superb and plenty of choice. Supplied free champagne when we paid for a birthday cake to be made. Only drawback was although you could pay a daily amount to upgrade all inclusive drinks to named brands had to apply to whole party and for 25 people not feasible. Overall great stayMore
