Have just returned today from our second visit to the Levante and must confirm the comments from most of the correspondents. The hotel has a great staff, the bar people are ways smiling and the entertainment team (Daisy and co )are bundles of energy. The food is varied and plentiful and a good standard . The rooms and public areas are cleaned to a high standard. The only negative is that the bar does need some better seating. RJD NorthantsMore

Friendly but not 4*

It is a pity to be critical of this hotel since it has much going for it. The staff are fantastic. Always smiling and friendly. They work very hard and always helpful. Our room was very big with an excellent balcony which got the sun all day long. The bathroom was huge and well equipped with a bath with shower over and a separate shower. However, there are many things which spoil the experience. There seems to be a lack of care in the general upkeep. In our room one set of lights did not work, the temperature control of the shower seemed to be faulty since it fluctuated from cold to scolding, many of the hangers in the wardrobe were broken. During our stay one of the four lifts was out of action all the time. This caused some long delays at meal times. There was a good range of food available at meal times but you have to remember that this is mass catering not 'fine dining!' The food was rarely hot enough, however. The most disappointing part of the hotel was the lobby bar (the only one open during the day and early evening at this time of year). It was more like a station waiting room than a relaxing bar. There were a few reasonably comfortable sofas but most of the furniture was hard chairs and metal tables, nor a pleasant place to sit and linger! There is free WIFI throughout the hotel but this seems to get weaker and slower the further you are away from the main lobby area. There is no mainstream English TV. Was it value for money? In view of the deal that we got with First Choice, probably yes. You get what you pay for! Would we go there again? Probably not until it has had a refurb.More

Not a true four star hotel#

The hotel was ok clean but the food was rather boring, seemed to be much the same every meal food was never hot enough for me but there was a microwave which I used all the time Im not a fan of sweets and enjoy some cheese and biscuits but there never was any ,Most 4 star hotels have a wide choice of breads here there was just 2 types of bread roll . A lot of pork was on the very restricted menu I reported to the reception on our first day that the extractor in the toilet wasn't working and mentioned every day but it was never rectified . We do know that the previous occupant had long black hair as some was still in the bath when we arrived .More
