The Hotel Levante is one of Benidorm’s most stylish properties. When it was built a few years ago, it set a new standard for cutting-edge design. Take the lobby, for instance. Step inside the revolving doors and you’re greeted by grand pillars, marble floors and ornamental fig trees. The pièce de résistance, however, is the colossal floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap themselves around the bottom of the hotel, flooding it with natural light.
The pool area is pretty plush, too. The swimming pool has an island in the middle with palm trees and polished pebbles, and the whole scene is surrounded by a terrace with chic linen parasols and sunloungers. The good looks continue in the spa and fitness centre. This mosaic-tiled haven of Turkish baths and thermal pools spreads out for 500 square metres. If you feel like treating yourself, you can take your pick from therapies like massages, mud treatments and aromatherapy.
In terms of rooms, the standard ones are fuss-free and dressed in neutral tones. They come with balconies, as well as little extras like internet connections and the option to have background music piped into your room. Upgrade to a superior room, and you can look forward to more space and luxury furnishings like plasma TVs.
On the food front, the restaurant strikes just the right note for laid-back dining. It serves up great buffet spreads for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with traditional Spanish dishes and international favourites among the offerings.
When it comes to getting out and about, the hotel is in the Rincon de Loix part of town, so a 15-minute walk will take you to Levante Beach. Plus, you’ll find a selection of bars and restaurants just metres away from the hotel.

More comfort please!
Stayed at the Levante for a week commencing the 22nd Feb. A very pleasant hotel, reception, restaurant and bar staff were very good and efficient at all times. The restaurant was well above average with the food quality and content very good value for money. The wine could do with improving and the hot water for tea wasn't always hot. As in a lot of hotels, breakfasts were sometimes hit or miss as to the warmth of the food, overall though, it was good. The hotel was clean, but looking tired in some areas and urgently needs a lounge area with more comfortable seating. The settees in the bar area are in short supply and not high enough to be comfortable for the amount of elderly people wanting to use them during the day in the event of bad weather. We were in room 610( a corner room ) very spacious with loungers on the balcony. The bathroom needs some work, extractor and half flush on toilet not working, and shower head needs re-fixing to wall. This was all reported when we left, so perhaps it as all been fixed now. I would advise people to upgrade your drinks package if you intend to spend time in the hotel, 8 euros per person is the cost. Finally, I think the Hotel needs to decide what sort of customers it wants, especially in winter, the hen and stag parties or middle aged couples? Don't really think it works as it is now. Not been to Benidorm for a long time but if we returned, I would return to the Levante hoping they have improved the small amount needed.More

The Levante is rated 4 star and the superior room and service, we had, just about reflected the rating. We are a married couple - late 50's Hotel - Bright and clean and well laid out. Four lifts serve the rooms and a dedicated lift serves the dining area and pool. We never waited more than a few seconds for one to come. Bus stop and taxi rank just outside. Good bars and restaurants across the road. Rooms - Spotless and well presented. Our friends had an ordinary room which was nigh identical to ours apart from we had - bathrobes (not used), a corner balcony (not used). a kettle (10E per week to hire), chocolates and wine, and a free safe. I do not consider these worth paying a massive amount more for. In the event our room was actually cheaper than theirs as we booked last year when we saw a good deal. Only down side was the wi fi. It was impossible to use and ran at 66 Mb/s. I complained and was told it would be looked into. Staff - Impossible to fault. Bar - Usual low alcohol brands but could be upgraded to proper stuff for 8E / day / per person. Good enough for us though. Food - Very good - hot and plentiful and tasty. - Good opening hours - Long trousers required for evening meal, no great hassle. We stayed for seven days and really enjoyed it. We are booked again for July.More

As the rep said Benidorm is marmite- you love it or hate it. In our case it was the latter, but I did hope that by booking 4* accommodation we could just enjoy the facilities of the hotel and the beach, weather permitting. Unfortunately I found the hotel very tired, no comfortable seating and the local spirits appalling. After already paying for an upgrade to premier room I was not prepared to pay more for named spirits as this economical week away was moving into the price of a more acceptable resort. I have used Thomson holidays many times and the star rating normally means good facilities, acceptable local alcohol, I did not realise that this was Benidorm 4*. The whole hotel needs refurbishing, the 'superior room' had certainly seen better days, the towels were very thin and the beds definitely needed replacing. Food in the restaurant was hit and miss, the lamb, pork, chicken and fish actually cooked in the restaurant were overcooked to the point of being inedible but they did have one evening where mussels, prawns, salmon and smoked salmon were on the menu and they were delicious. Unfortunately this was not repeated during our stay. They did cook a very good fried egg for breakfast! On our last day we were leaving at 7.00am and were promised a continental breakfast, well someone turned the toaster on!! please don't insult the continental breakfast. Overall a very disappointing week which could have been avoided by just giving me the facts about the hotel star rating and I would have booked elsewhere (not Benidorm). I do have to say that the staff were invariably very polite and friendly and the Bikini Bar on the beach was very pleasant being at the end of the beach so If I didn't look right I couldn't see all the high rise and could pretend we were somewhere else, preferably in another Country.More

The good and the bad
Our trip was on the 18th February, the hotel is very modern and all the staff spoke good English. The food was excellent although not a massive choice the food was presented well and a responsible choice for most. Been an adults only hotel we thought it would be fairly quiet but we was wrong, the hotel lets lots of Hen and stag parties in, when we was there there was 5 large hen parties and the hotel puts normal holiday guests on the same floors as hen and stag party guests, and after been kept awake by screaming and shouting throughout the first night until 6.00 am we got a room change. So if you are looking for a relaxing peaceful hotel this is not one of the best owing to there policy of allowing hen and stage parties. Also on a weekend the Spanish arrive in droves and take over for two days then all the entertainment goes totally Spanish, and the food is aimed at the Spanish and non of them can talk they shout all the time, and they are most rude. But if you can forget the hen and stage parties and the Spanish for two days then the hotel is wonderful it is in a very easily accessible area of Benidorm, the hotel would easily pass as a 4*.More
