This place has a really central setting. It’s right in the heart of Benidorm and just a ten-minute walk from Playa de Levante – the town’s most popular beach. Lined by shops, bars and restaurants, this wide stretch of sand comes with all the trimmings.
The hotel itself is a big contemporary number, with bedrooms set over eight floors. They’re simple but smart, teaming white walls with chunky wooden furniture. And they all come with extras like satellite TVs and private balconies.
Outside, meanwhile, the pool is the main attraction. It’s a big rectangular affair, framed by a spacious sun terrace. During the winter, it’s heated. There’s also a separate children’s pool, and during the summer a snack bar complete with a palm-fringed dining terrace.
In terms of food, big global buffets with show cooking means there’s always plenty of choice. Dishes tend to have a Spanish flavour – think paellas, tapas and fresh seafood – but there’s plenty of cuisine from other countries, too. We’re talking everything from steak and chips to pizzas. For after-dinner drinks, meanwhile, the open-air bar serves up cocktails by the pool.

Great hotel, well placed for the beach, shops and bars...Room was spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels replaced in the bathroom. Good choice of food in the dining room, all tastes catered for. There was a fridge in the room but you had to pay to use it. Tv in the room showed bbc and itv channels. There was the usual bag the best spot in the sun with your towel on a sunbed brigade!!!! I found the weather cold and ended up buying a jacket to wear. Also too many mobility scooters were at large which were proving to be a bit of a pain due to inexperienced drivers.. There is plenty to do, the old town is well worth a visit. The market on a Sunday and Wednesday is also a must.More
we have just returned from our second visit to the Helios this year. My son is in a wheelchair and the facilities for disabled guests is first class. We have really enjoyed our stay and have taken advantage of the excellent entertainment laid on in the hotel since the weather was not that good for going out at night. The entire hotel is spotless and rooms very roomy and comfortable. Considering the huge amount of guests they have to cater for, the food is of a very good standard and plenty of variety. I particularly enjoyed their bread, rolls and croissants baked on the premises on view in the dining room. Any small issues and complaints we had were dealt with promptly. The staff are all lovely from reception staff to Juan in the bar and Juan in the dining room. Can't wait to go back.More

the cleanliness of the hotel was good as were the bedrooms the bed was a little on the firm side but you can't suit everyone. However, we felt that the food was below the standard and lacking in variety, I also though that it was wrong that we had to pay for water to have with your evening meal, in the evenings the tea and coffee machines where switched off so it was not possible to have a hot drink unless you went to the bar and bought one; so we were disappointed with this hotel.More

A really good hotel in a great area, near to the beach and all the night life. The staff are really good and helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the food, plenty of variety and served hot. We would have preferred softer mattresses but never mind. What we could have done without is the party of young morons on our floor, (7) who have had no consideration for others resulting in three sleep disturbed nights, hoping tonight, our last, will be without incident, not holding my breath on that one! Shame Helios is very good and we will be back.More
