Hotel Flamingo Oasis

This big hotel comes with a pair of buffet restaurants and a giant pool. And it’s all within easy reach of the beach…

This hotel has a great spot in Benidorm – it’s quieter than down at the town centre, but still just 15-minutes’ walk to both the main strip and sandy Levante beach.

There’s a big lagoon pool at the heart of the hotel. And there are weekly theme nights at the two buffet restaurants. There’s also an adults-only bar with a pianist providing the soundtrack.

short break

On arrival we had to queue to check in, this took about 45 mins and then you had to queue for another 20 mins to have your photo taken for your pass, after your flight and bus journey to have to stand all that time was beyond a joke. Rooms are okay but if you want a remote for the tv you had to pay to hire it. We were only there for 4 days but you had to pay the weekly price for the safety deposit box which wasn't cheap. Food wasn't bad but sometimes needed to be put in the microwave as it wasn't hot, lots of stews and you weren't sure what was in them. The weather wasn't great at times and if you wanted to sit in the bar you sometimes couldn't get a seat as everyone had the same idea and there wasn't enough seats to go around, they could fit in some more tables and chairs. Most of the staff were cheery enough but there was a couple of grumpy ones. They had some good entertainers on. Only thing that would stop me going back is the check in system, I think they need to revise this.More

Return Visit

This is our 5th visit, however the last time was about 6 years ago. I do love this hotel and it didn't really disappoint this time. Check in was fast and Michael on reception was fantastic, however there were only about half a dozen families checking in, a few days later a bus full of people arrived and some were waiting around 2 hours to check in and get their photograph taken. Rooms were great, very clean, although bathrooms are showing some signs of wear and tear, loads of storage and hanging space. Weather throughout our week was mixed, only got 2 pool days but no racing for sunbeds, there were plenty and you are not allowed out to the pool area before 8.45 am. I was disappointed that the pool bar was not open, there were a lot of guests of advancing years and it was quite a hike for them up the steps to the main lobby bar for a drink, I was told the pool bar opens mid May. Pool was FREEZING! I am not sure if it is supposed to be heated but most definitely was not! Whilst we were there the pool area floor was being painted meaning half of the pool area was closed off all week however given the weather it wasn't a problem. Food was generally of a reasonable standard, no need to go hungry there is always something you can find to eat, quite frustrating that drinks at lunch and dinner are not self service as the lines can be long to get served. The restaurant was always busy at dinner however it is large enough not to cause too much of a problem. We didn't see the entertainment this time, in previous years it has been very good however because during the winter it is inside and not around the pool we didn't go and watch it, preferring instead to venture out to the bars across the road or stay in the lobby bar and have a drink. I would definitely return to the Flamingo Oasis, I like the location, size and facilities that it offers, I will just cross my fingers for a sunnier week next time!More

in need of upgrading

Overall we enjoyed our week's holiday here. However, the hotel needs an overall upgrade. We paid extra for club class too. The patio doors were covered in masking tape! We had a really good week weather wise but the manager refused to put the air conditioning on which was stifling at night time in the rooms. .. Food is average, had better in the servigroup. ... its an all inclusive hotel and the staff are fast, not lazy, a not sue how it got to be a 4 star rating thoughMore
