Miles of Blue Flag beach, tasty tapas and all-out entertainment
With an all inclusive holiday to Benidorm, all the basic costs are covered upfront. So you can plan your budget knowing what you'll have to spend when you arrive...
Benidorm is a British home-from-home on the Med. It promises immaculate Blue Flag beaches, Brit-style pubs and a different choice of cabaret every night. When you book an all inclusive holiday to Benidorm, your flights, accommodation and meals are all taken care of. So all you need to do is plan what you'll do when you're there. Here are a few ideas...
Blue Flag beaches
Benidorm’s Blue Flag beaches are a big draw for the 4 million tourists who visit every year. The main two are Levante and Poniente. Levante is the busiest and has a bar-lined promenade skirting the sand. For something a little more relaxing, head to Malpas. This small cove just behind the port is one of the quietest beaches in Benidorm.
Soak up the atmosphere – and mop up the snacks – in Benidorm’s Tapas Alley, in the streets around Place de la Constitutio and Santo Domingo. Bars and restaurants compete for your attention and fill the streets with the aroma of patatas bravas, manchego cheese and chorizo. You’ll find plenty of places to try out these traditional Spanish dishes – the brew-pub Gambrinus is particularly popular with the holiday crowd.
All-singing, all-dancing nights out
If Vegas did seaside entertainment, it would probably look like the glittering lights of Benidorm Palace. Flamenco dancers and showgirls provide the main attractions every night, with plenty of jugglers, clowns and big bands in between. There’s a pre-show dinner – or you can just turn up at 10pm for the entertainment.
Jeep safari tours can take you to places no other Benidorm tour guide can. You’ll head into the forests, up the mountains and take the lesser-known off-road trails. The tour guide provides enthusiastic commentary en route, as you travel through whitewashed villages and take in the sun-soaked countryside.
Benidorm’s old town market throws up some unexpected surprises. Set behind the Terralta Sindy, it has a real mix of things – from leather handbags to carvings. There are bargains to be had here, but come ready for a spot of haggling.
