With Benidorm and the beach on their doorstep, the modern Levante Beach Apartments make a great budget base.
It’s all about location at this property. Not only are the apartments a couple of minutes’ stroll from the beach, they’re close to all the action. In fact, the heart of Benidorm is just a five minute walk away, which makes hitting the shops, bars and restaurants a piece of cake.

When you’re not out and about, the Levante Beach is a great place to take it easy. The heart of it all is a kidney-shaped swimming pool, bordered by a sun terrace with loungers and parasols.

It’s just as pleasing inside - think fresh, light and modern. There’s an inviting bar serving light bites throughout the day where you can relax with a drink, have a snack or watch TV. As for the apartments, they’re nice and simple with whitewashed walls, wooden furnishing and tiled floors. They don’t scrimp on the space, either, and come with TVs, kitchenettes and a balcony or terrace.

With all this on offer, it’s no wonder guests return here year after year.

Your guide to Benidorm, Costa Blanca

"Benidorm sprawls happily up the hills and off into the horizon. Developed from a tiny fishing village, it is now one of the cleanest and most popular resorts in the Mediterranean."

To all intents and purposes, Benidorm is the Costa Blanca. Tucked up against a duo of beaches, its modern skyline has something almost Manhattan-esque about it. But that’s only part of the picture, as the 1.3 million Brits who holiday here every year will tell you. In fact, the city has two very different faces. On the one hand, it's the undisputed capital of happy hour bars, roast dinners and neon discos. And on the other, its all cobbled streets, dinky white houses and tapas bars.

Of course, the beaches are the big draw, though. The pale golden sands here not only boast Blue Flag status, they’re rated among Europe’s best. They’ve got first-class facilities, too. The promenade runs the full length, and with multi-coloured decking in a funky wave-like formation, it adds a touch of style to Benidorm. There are also cafés, bars and restaurants, and even a beach library.

Away from the sands, the shopping scene caters for all tastes, particularly in the old town. You’ll find shops of every kind, from traditional delis to boutiques selling designer togs. Check out the El Cisne Market, too. Held every weekend, it’s stacked with antiques. On the food front, expect things like vindaloo, chop suey, bacon and eggs - you name it, it’s probably on the menu. For a taste of Spain though, it has to be Santo Domingo Street in the old town, otherwise known as Tapas Alley. It seems like every Spaniard under the sun gathers here to graze on big juicy olives and jamon Serrano.

Last but not least, families shouldn’t miss Benidorm’s four big theme parks. Aqualandia waterpark always hits the mark with slides like Niagara and the Big Bang. And Terra Mitica theme park is just as action-packed with white-knuckle rides that guarantee screams. Or spend a day at one of the animal parks.
