Hotel Internacional  

The elegant Hotel Internacional resides in the heart of Porto and is an ideal base from which to explore the city's gems on foot or by local transport. Dominating the crossroads of Rua do Almada and Rua da Fabrica, the 200 year old building was originally a convent, but has been a hotel for more than half of its life. Officially classified as a building of great architectural, historical and cultural value, the hotel has recently undergone a thorough, yet sympathetic restoration and retains its old style decor, while ensuring its guests' comfort with air-conditioning throughout, an en suite in every room and considerate sound-proofing. The Aliados subway station is approximately 50 metres from the hotel and a bus route passes nearby so getting out and about is a doddle.
