Spa, sports and a seriously smart pool scene combine at this lavish 5-star.
A good place to begin at this hotel is by the pool. Or rather, pools. This place has no less than five to lounge around, so there’s no need for early reservations. The main one is set in the middle of beautiful gardens and surrounded by trees. The second looks like something from an Indiana Jones film, with rope bridges, rocks and sparkling waterfalls. And the rest are just the ticket when it comes to simple swimming and sunbathing.
There's plenty to keep the little ones happy here, too. As well as their own splash pool, they get a playground, a tree house and a pirate ship.
Just as impressive are the three restaurants. This is à la carte dining all the way. Cilantro restaurant serves traditional Portuguese and Latin American cuisine. Aquarela’s poolside menu offers snack and al fresco meals. And at Moscada, you can enjoy breaksfast and evening meals.
The Seven Spa offers plenty in the way of massages, saunas and circuit pools, all set in a fabulous and totally tranquil Zen Garden. The sports line-up is noteworthy, too – options include tennis courts. You'll find a running track nearby too. Plus there’s an 18-hole golf course right on the doorstep.

fCentred on a massive marina, Vilamoura is the largest, purpose-built holiday resort in the Algarve. And it’s got all your holiday needs covered - from sailing and bowling to shopping and having a flutter in the casino, your wish is Vilamoura’s command. We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Hilton for our Honeymoon. We couldn't fault the hotel, everything including the food, room & staff were excellent. The marina is about a 5 minute taxi drive away from the hotel and which costs... more on this review
