Villa Helena sits in a delightful spot, just ten minutes from the oh-so pretty whitewashed town of Sao Bras. A historical centre that's full of traditional charm, you'll find a selection of handicraft shops here, as well as superb typical Portuguese restaurants, serving specialities such as chicken piri-piri. Once you've arrived at the villa though, you may not want to leave. With vast open vistas, pure mountain air and a peacefulness that seems to have made time stand still, it's pretty special. And surrounded by undulating mountains and rustic farmland, you'd be forgiven for thinking you've stepped into a picture-postcard. The first thing you'll notice about the villa, is that it's absolutely immaculate. Your own private pool sits gracefully in the grounds, flanked by sun beds, parasols – and of course those gorgeous panoramic views. There's also a covered BBQ area here with a traditional bread oven and a terrace area that's perfect for al fresco dining. Step inside and it's a welcoming sight here, too. Tiled flooring and neutral decor continues throughout the villa, creating a calm and contemporary ambience, and the unfussy furnishings make it even more spacious. With four bedrooms comprising of one double and three twin rooms, it's ideal for large families or couples holidaying together. Two of the bedrooms open out on to balconies and the double room has an en-suite with the added luxury of a whirlpool bath. Head downstairs and the contemporary kitchen has all the mod cons including dishwasher and washing machine and the bright and airy lounge has a TV and DVD player. For a serene holiday with style – Villa Helena can't be beaten.
