And their comfortable, whitewashed guest house is bursting with character. Traditional in style, you'll find antique furniture and richly-coloured rugs at every turn. On the flip side though, there are plenty of contemporary features such as squishy sofas and a small games room vying for your attention.

When you want a blast of sunshine, step out of your spacious, ensuite room – all of which are individually decorated and have satellite television, air-conditioning and a kitchenette – and into the extensive grounds. Here, you can recline back on one of the cushioned sun loungers by the pool and simply soak up the pin-drop peace and quiet. And of course, those soul-stirring views. This place really has got 'do not disturb the sound of silence' written all over it.
