The Carvi Beach Hotel has a second-to-none setting on a clifftop above Praia Dona Ana beach. It’s only a short walk from the centre of Lagos, too.
The Carvi Beach Hotel is parked above the blonde sands and honey-coloured cliffs of Praia Dona Ana beach.
Bright, minimalist interiors in shades of sage and grey-blue decorate the hotel. The rooms have recently had makeovers, so you can expect added touches like rain showers and flatscreens.

We chose this hotel because it was located right next to the beach, which it was, literally a 2 minute walk away! We visited almost everyday. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had everything you needed, quite basic but had what we needed, with a balcony too. We loved the roof top restaurant element, we did not eat here but breakfast was good and we drank at the bar often which was reasonably priced. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk into the centre, we did not mind this and went every evening, alternatively you could eat in the onsite restaurant. I would come back here, maybe in a year or so but I would recommend if you love the beach!More
Dinner in restaurant
7 of us for a friend's birthday. I couldn't fault it in anyway . Food and service 1st class. Setting with the views over the beach and cliffs at Praia Dona Ana absolutely stunning. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. PerfectMore
Next to the beach.
Nice and contemporaneos hotel next to the beach and close to the city center. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Near the beautiful Porto de Mos beach. Close to Meia Praia, Praia da Luz, Burgau, etc. Beautiful views from the hotel terrace where you'll find a great pool.More
Excellent 3 star, rooms basic but funcional, restaurant fabulous
Stayed at Carvi Beach for 1 week. It is a 3 star hotel The positives - staff are happy (Jackson is wonderful), helpful and very keen to add to your holiday experience. The rooftop restaurant is a real gem - excellent menus, delicious food, gentle music playing, very bright and airy with option for inside or outside dining and fabulous staff. Delicious fresh fruit at breakfast time. Free wifi Excellent car parking beside hotel and fabulous beach 50 metres from hotel. 15 minute walk to old town (some parts of it not overly scenic/pretty). Fatima's (poolside) mojitos are fabulous!! The not so positives - derelict hotel beside Carvi Beach. Rooms are basic (but adequate and clean), walls thin, corridors boring. Hot breakfast selection poor. Pool small with limited sun loungers around it. Overall we loved the Carvi, its a 3 star hotel with a 5 star restaurant.More
do not be fooled by the beautiful bay beaches and views,
we had booked this hotel whilst in the uk and purchased an upgraded room with a sea view for one night as we were visiting Lagos on arrival it was easy to park the car as i dont think the residents of the derelict hotel next door were car owners, the reception was businesslike when we got to the room it was very basic not even a kettle it seemed well worn but freshly whitewashed and appeared fairly clean just very jaded, checking out the bathroom the surfaces and glass were ok looking up i thought perhaps there had been a bloody murder, we eventually found the sea view it was hidden out to the left of the balcony, we stayed for a few hours feeling increasingly ripped off never stayed the whole night when handing back the keys and telling the reception why she politely said oh fine bye then, that amused me i will admit.More
