If you're looking for lazy days in the sun, but don't want to stay off the beaten track, Casa da Marina will be right up your street. You really do get the best of both worlds here. For starters, you'll find shops, bars and restaurants just a five minute drive away. So you can pick up fresh ingredients for dinner or if you fancy a break from the kitchen, dine out. And just a further ten minutes takes you in to the bustling resort of Albufeira. With oodles of eateries, entertainment and a buzzing nightlife, you're spoilt for choice here. Plus, you can take your pick of the golden sands – Albufeira Town and Fisherman's beaches.

Of course, once you clap eyes on Casa da Marina, you might decide to spend most of your time here. Sitting in a desirable area, it's modern and detached and built in an attractive Portuguese design. In a neat row alongside other villas, it looks out over the hills and down to the marina with its brightly-painted apartments. And although the area is fairly developed, you'll find a pretty serene ambience here.

One place you'll probably spend a lot of time is by the pool. Flanked by a tiled terrace with sun beds and some small grassy areas, it's the perfect spot to recline back and soak up the sun, doing nothing more strenuous than taking a dip to cool off. There's also a built-in barbeque and a dining table out for al fresco meals. Step inside and you'll find a spacious lounge and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with all the mod cons such as a washing machine and dishwasher. There are also four restful bedrooms, a double on the ground floor and a double ensuite and two twins upstairs. For a Portuguese escape in the sun – Casa da Marina is just the ticket.
