These roomy apartments are only minutes from Alvor’s sandy beach and village centre. There’s a bus stop nearby, too, so you can get to Lagos and Albufeira easily.
These apartments have location all sewn up. They’re a 5-minute stroll from Alvor’s golden sands, and the village centre is even closer. Plus, there’s a handful of cafés, bars and shops in the complex itself.
Bright and spacious apartments are set in a trio of buildings that skirt the pool area. There’s plenty of sunbathing space, plus a bar serving drinks and snacks.

We spent ten days in the Dunas do Alvor Apartments and we were very pleased. These apartments are so spacious, clean and the staff are so friendly we could not have wanted for more. The pool is private and we needed a security token to access and exit which we were given by the Dunas do Alvor. They are about five minutes walk to the town in one direction and about seven minutes walk to the Harbour in the other direction the location was perfect. We overlooked the little square and pool from our apartment it was a little piece of heaven on a budget. Check out Pic Niks beside the pool the food is lovely and so reasonably priced. Alvor itself is so beautiful with its cobbled streets and multiple little restaurants and bars to eat it. There is music in a few of the pubs, check out Keith in the Black Stove a great night to be had. We will be back lovely Alvor.More

A great 'find'!
Once you actually manage to FIND the Dunas do Alvor apartments you are in for a treat! We had a lovely spacious, well-equipped and comfortable 1 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor with a pool view. The balcony was quite small but fine for our needs (sitting having morning coffee watching the swallows at play and checking on their nestlings was just a delight!) Manuel and Sara at the Reception gave us a friendly welcome and Sara took time to take us up to our apartment and to show us the workings of the car park which was very appreciated. The town is a short walk away as is the beautiful beach and quaint harbour. The setting is just superb at the front - a typical little fishing village. One restaurant is nicer than the other, selling the catch of the day amongst other delicious dishes. At the apartment complex there are many eating and drinking places too. Fantastic holiday!More
A Gem of A Place For A Family Hoilday
This is a large complex of mostly private holiday apartments for rental. We rented a apartment from someone via" Holiday Lets". The apartment was will equipped with every thing we needed for traveling with a 2 year old and was very clean. The complex has an ample sized pool but not enough sun loungers to go around. It has 3 good bars within it and a café which all serve food at reasonable prices and they were offering Beer from 1 euro and cocktails from 3 euro when we were there. The beach is a close by with hundreds of loungers for rent from about 10 euro per day. The main part of the town is about 10 mins slow walk away and has plenty of good value restaurants to choose from and you will also find the usual tourist shops there too. We went into the town most nights for a meal and never had a bad one. We also used one or two of the local take away shops and also found these to be good value. The town is small but has plenty to offer. We liked it as it still had a fishing village feel about it with no large groups of teens and banging loud sports bars or related nonsense you get in big resorts, which is very good if you have a young family.More

We stayed here for a week in October half term 2013. I know I am over a year late with this review but better late than never. We booked a 1 bed apartment but when we checked in we were given a very very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Which I could have quite happily lived in for the rest of my life. The bedrooms were big enough with plenty of storage. The bathroom was gorgeous, the living area had a 3 piece suite. A dining table and 4 chairs, and the kitchen was fully equipped with a proper electric cooker and hob, a full size washing machine and fridge/freezer along with a microwave, kettle and toaster. A real home from home. The complex itself was huge, it housed small units which hosted an array of dry cleaners, hairdressers, charity shop. A small food shop/gift shop. There were also 3 bars on the complex all very friendly, very full and very cheap. The little poolside bar did the most amazing toasties. The pool was massive, although cold but then again it was the end of October. Unfortunately we chose the wrong week weather wise, the week before had been in the high 70s early 80s, the week after was also very warm, our week however was warm but overcast most days, with rain everyday, although the rain came early morning and late at night so it didnt bother us during the day. The sun did shine a couple of days and when it did it was hot, but sadly didnt stay out for long. Alvor itself is a lovelt little village with a vast array of shops, all selling the usual arts and crafts etc leather, pottery. Beautiful harbour with fantastic restaurants on the sea front. A special restaurant we found actually caught and cooked your fish in front of you on a large bbq. The smell was amazing. We had breakfast most mornings on the harbour front. And you got a lot of breakfast for 7 euros, incl coffee/tea and orange juice. We loved Alvor and will definately return one day during the warmer season. We ventured further afield into Lagos and to Portimao, both lovely areas with plenty to do. The boats in the harbour were amazing.I must recommend a local wine native to portugal called a green wine, absolutely lovely and goes down rather well of an evening. Good food choices and plenty of restaurants, shops and amenities. The beach was something else. Long golden and sandy, and we even paddled abit albeit October in the atlantic ocean. I would definately receommed Alvor and the Dunas do Alvor apartments, great location and within 5 minutes to everything.More

Myself and my family stayed here in the summer of 2014. We stayed in a one bedroom. The apartment was basic with a couch bed kitchen and bathroom. The towels and sheets were not changed when they need to be. But overall it was niceMore
