Swanky and intimate, with a countryside setting, the Cerro da Marina is the ideal adult getaway.
The hillside setting of this hotel gives you impressive views of the countryside, the marina and the ocean. It’s quiet, but you’re not cut off – the beach is about a 15-minute stroll away, while the town’s main square is a bit further.
The interiors here are really chic. Crisp-white walls, sprawling sofas and mood lighting fill the lobby. In the rooms, peachy shades and draped canopies over the beds create a romantic feel.

Very nice staff hotel maybe a few years ago would have been lovely, it's situated on a very steep hill not recommended for elderly people if your planing on walking , threre is a marina very close with restaurants and bars or a 15 min walk to the beach or old town square, the hotel has a large pool very clean, some exercise machines and what looks like a very recently jacuzzi, nice sun loungers with cushions, cushions could do with a clean they are rubber, there is a honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks if the staff aren't around just put your room number down and what you have taken, good ideaMore

Great relaxing tme
The hotel was clean, friendly & quiet, away from the town near the marina (only 15mins or so) the staff were friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean & fresh. The breakfast was self service with a good selection of hot & cold food with cheese & ham & fruit / yogurts etc and the bar drinks were also self service on a trust basis by writing in book whatever you selected & added to bill at end of stay . I would definitely recommend this for a quiet relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.More
Our summer hotel
Excellent hotel and staff. Very good ambience. The rooms are more than adequate. Breakfast self serve, very good selection of cold and hot food, you won't leave hungry. You can go to their sister hotel do Cerro for evening entertainment. Look forward to next year!More
Amazing,so quiet,beautiful surroundings,can't wait to return
Didn't know what to expect from Portugal,i only like quiet places and this seemed a bit more lively an area than what we were used to.it was the hotel that made me decide to try here though after looking through the small and friendly choice of hotels.I enjoy a peaceful hotel on holiday, preferably no children, and with it only having 22 rooms it sounded spot on.so I thought if the surrounding areas were busy we'd have all we needed back at the hotel. the hotel also had a pool, jaquizi, gym, treatments, everything we'd need.there is only one time of day where there is some noise, and that's when the maids start work, but it saves on setting an alarm for breakfast.we went b&b but we only had the breakfast once as prefer to go out to eat.if you are not going half board make sure you bring a travel kettle as not provided with one in the room.there is also an honestly bar,so if you want a drink or want to make yourself a toastie you just put what you've had in the book provided and it gets charged to your room.not cheap though so best buying drinks from the local shop and put in the room fridge (it is actually a mini bar,but we just removed their items and put our own in.then returned items before we checked out).we never ate in hotel so can't comment on that.breakfast was OK though,I only had toast as not a big fry up fan.made a few toasties to eat round pool (already made up,you just put in machine till ready)be aware though it is around 20 mins to the old town or marina, fine going as mostly downhill but if you struggle walking you may need to hire a tuk-tuk taxi on the way back as many steep hills.we found the marina quieter than the old town, where we went go karting and bowling, great fun.there are lots of water sports, things to hire,or bungee jumping if you so wish.I thought there would be a lot more people about, its only really when you hit the square in the old town that it gets a little busy (more modern and more young people, clubs in new town, not for me though) it wasn't even that busy at the seaside bars in the evening, which was great, although the beach looked pretty busy everyday.we went in June though, were advised it does get busier.it was my husband's birthday whilst there, the maid brought up a bottle of sparkly wine and a card which was very sweet of the hotel to do.be aware if you get there and no one is at reception, don't panic like we did (although we were very tired, although they told us the coach would take 30 mins from airport,it was more like 2hrs,might be better hiring private transfer if you can, then is only 30 mins,im doing that next time)just dial the emergency phone,we were locked out of the building when we arrived in the early hours, didn't read notices properly and wasn't escorted in by rep.the hotel is very security conscious, makes you feel very safe.esure you leave a door card in the room slot at all times.if not left in it will sense someone otherwise than yourself is in the room and an alarm will go off until this card is put in the slot.if you are a cat lover you will be happy as all the cats are very friendly, even one which goes about the hotel and most of the restaurants and bars.any with clipped ears have been treated by a vet.there is such a nice mix of nationalities, people so so friendly.this hotel is more for couples, did not see one child at the hotel the whole two weeks, which was bliss for me.all you can hear is seagulls and crickets, lovely,so peaceful.we both love walking so the distance to towns was perfect for us,and the hotel was the most relaxing/peaceful place I have ever stayed in.perfect if you look for peace and quiet in your choice of hotel.be aware though, there are road works going on outside at the moment but we didnt really hear it from our room, and they are working through it pretty quickly,so shouldnt affect your stay.didn't affect ours.More

Quite a downward steep walk to old town. Rooms need upgraded. Cockroaches in another guests room. Staff surly need to be a bit more customer friendly. Breakfast is awful cold buffet or tepid buffet. If u want English sausages you pay extra!!!! Pool area is fine. Had dinner one evening and it was ok... for about 8 chips on my plate and staff were trying to rush us so they could get home. No I would not recommend this hotel. I did like the quietness and hotel cat but everything else is awful.More
