In a resort as popular as Albufeira it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to find a quiet corner. That said, if you are looking for a little pocket of peace, look no further than Villa Alba apartments. They are located in a quiet residential street just outside the town centre.

A large swimming pool almost fills the sun terrace. Don't worry though – there's still plenty of room for your sunbed. If you're more of a beach than a pool lover, pack yourself a picnic, grab your towel and wander down to Oura beach. It's the most popular beach in Albufeira and it's about 30 minutes walk away. With rock pools and yellow sands.

When hunger strikes, head back to Villa Alba. The kitchen in your apartment is geared up for creating anything from the simplest meal to your own Portuguese stew. If the thought of slaving away in the kitchen isn't your idea of fun don't worry - relief comes in the shape of the poolside bar. Offering drinks and snacks, it'll keep you stocked up till dinner time.

Venturing further a field? Then early evening is the time when Villa Alba's location comes into its own. You are a just 500 metres from the Albufeira strip. This main street is alive with tempting aromas and pulsating beats spilling from the trendy restaurants and bars.
