Cerro Mar Colina

The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.

From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.

Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

Great hotel

We recently returned from a 7 night stay at Cerro Mar. Our apartment was over the road in the building where the shop is located. We stayed in number 101 , there wasnt a washing machine or a dishwasher but I didnt mind. The apartment was spacious and clean. The balcony was large, although we didnt have a sea view we did have a nice view of the garden. There is a pool literally 10 steps outside of the front door, which was nice. The pool was cold but we had really warm weather while we were there, so it was very nice and refreshing. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant on our last morning and it was delicious. Priced at 7 euros per person, buffet style which meant you could eat your fill if you wanted to. The hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill which may be an issue to those with mobility problems. On the whole I cannot fault the hotel or the staff. Totally recommended!More

Lovely Apartments, clean and modern

We have just returned from the Cerro Mar Atlantico Apartments after a week's stay. I can't really fault it, the apartment was modern, spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the old town of Albufeira from our balcony although we were a little overlooked from the hotel terrace opposite it didn't bother us too much. The apartments are up a hill with a steepish climb to the old town but if you want to walk up get a taxi there are lots of them and it only cost us 4 euros a trip. The staff are very friendly all included our cleaner was lovely so nice and friendly. The swimming pools are not heated but again that doesn't bother me and if I was here in winter I'd use the indoor pool. My only niggle is having to pay for Wifi to check the best restaurants to visit on Tripadvisor! but if you don't want to most bars have it free. I would heartily recommend this place and will definitely stay here again. Restaurants, O'Manjar is fab if you like giant rib eye steak gorgeous, Bailote was also nice and don't miss the Pastelaria under the Brisa sol Apartments the best cakes ever. If you want a good drink and a bit of banter go and see Pete and Martin at The Cavern they're lovely and make you feel like friends as soon as you walk in.More

Family holiday

We stayed for 10 nights at the beginning of May and I can highly recommend it. The rooms were very spacious and even had a dishwasher and washing machine. The balcony was enormous big enough to build another apartment on. The staff were very friendly and always smiling there are four swimming pools we liked the swim up bar pool the best ,as it had music playing. I'm hoping to go back in early October. More

Jennifer H,

Hasta La Vista

Just returned from a wonderful 10 day trip to Albufeira, made possible by the accommodation at the Cerro Mar. Staff excellent, cleanliness as good as you can expect & the food at breakfast more than adequate & sedate. The hotel knows exactly what their clientele want, as the main focus is to eat in the old town the majority of people go S/C or B/B. But I must mention those steps into town, phew 90 odd, by the end of the trip I had thighs like Arnie & a wife demanding a bungalow on our return. But every negative has a positive, I soon realised that I could have an extra beer in town safe in the knowledge I could walk off the calories on the way back !! I'll be back!More

Visited here in late January of 2015.Me and my wife travelled for a short 3 night break. All I can say is what an absolute gem.By far the best appartments I have ever stayed in.The indoor pool and saunas were great. We had breakfast every morning and it just got better and better each day.We had a room overlooking the pool which was fab.The local bars are down some steep stairs not ideal for the elderly, but I wouldn't have thought it would be too expensive in a taxis. The pub at the bottom of the steps was excellent for nightlife, think it was called Prince Harry's .Overall fantastic break, take a bow Cerro Mar Atlantico......More
