The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.
This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
These light and simply furnished 1 bedroom apartments come with a balcony for some extra space outside. They include a kitchen and lounge for that home-from-home feel. Plus, they include a twin bedroom, 2 extra beds, a TV, and air-conditioning.

fabulous week away at these apartments. The apartments were really well equipped if you feel the need to cook on your holidays and also helped by the fact that Aldi and Lidl are only 5 minutes away but as there are loads of gorgeous restaurants near by plus a good little pool bar you can just relax and enjoy the sun. The apartments were cleaned everyday the maids even vacuumed the balcony! and fresh towels daily plus beds changed in the middle of the week. The hotels provide a courtesy bus 5 times a day if you cant face the walk down to the main square and the beach but honestly the 97 stairs going down are not that bad and if you don't want to get the hotel bus back a taxi is only 3-4 euros. First time we had been to Albuferia old town but would recommend it as a great holiday resort and the Cerro Mar apartments as a great place to stay.More

Recent trip to complex owned by Cerro Mar Gardens hotel
We stayed recently for a week at the Cerro Mar Colina apartments, part of a large range of apartments owned and run by the hotel Cerro Mar Gardens.
We found it all to be very clean and tidy, the cleaners always seemed to be doing something, whether it be hosing down the pool areas or sweeping the paths or cleaning the rooms.
There was some noise above, (we were on the ground floor), which you must come to expect as the apartment blocks are quite large and with the number of families and people coming and going, you're bound to hear some chatter/laughter and general cooking/washing up noises etc. Overall, it was a calm and peaceful location we must say.
The area is up high so to get anywhere there is an expectation of steps to go up and down,(old Albufiera town has a focal market square with lots to see and do if you enjoy that and the beach is reached through the "cave" tunnel, so rather a quaint part of our stay. that said car hire is easy, ( we used buses and did one arranged trip to see the dolphins), or chose to walk at our own pace.) The newer town of Albufeira can be reached by walking out by Aldi and lidl or by using the local Giro buses and indeed, the hotel run a courtesy bus every day, although we never got round to testing this service as it happens!
To sum up, well worth a visit and stay. buy a cheap umbrella from one of the shops in old town, (look around as they vary from 7.50 E to 14.99 E - we struck lucky!!). Beaches all around look beautiful and were lovely and clean, safe for families etc. Water gets a bit choppy and cold but warm once you've braved it. Great waves if you enjoy those too - we had fun! Try to visit around the area, sad we didn't get about everywhere, tried to do without car hire for this holiday to have complete rest and worry from driving not he other side. villamoura, Lagos both nice to see. We walked to a small nearby place called St Raphael- very steep up to village and then again walk down amongst the villas there, past a few small hotels to find a wonderful small, sandy beach. Great Beach cafe served good food and variety for all tastes. we could kick ourselves this day as hadn't come with swim wear so just ate lunch and watched everyone doing their sunbathing and swimming. families and every generation enjoying the sun and sea!More
Beautiful Apartments, Very Kind & Obliging Staff
I stayed here in April for a few days, I found my 2 bedroom apartment fantastic, very spacious, we had 4 balconies (we were lucky), it had wonderful views. The location was very good, although there were a few steps to be climbed on the way home at night! I found the staff to be very helpful. I unfortunately, left an expensive pair of shoes behind and the staff very kindly posted them home for me. I was really impressed with this and a huge thank you to the staff.More
Soacios apartment, good value, great location if you have no mobility problems
Stayed at these apartments for four nights recently, staff are ok, not very friendly at reception but they get the job done, if you are staying in the apartments you rarely see staff anyway. The maids did a great job every day, apartment was spotless when we received to our apartment each evening. Each apartment block has a swimming pool, we stayed in the block across from the hotel. The pool was fine and we could get loungers the one day the weather was good enough to lie there however in high season there would definitely be an issue getting a lounger. No amenities around the pool either. It would be better to go to the pool in the hotel. We also spent one full day at the beach in the old town which was great. Location is very central, u walk down about 98 steps and you are in the old town square. The walk back up can be tough during the heat of the day. We never needed to use a taxi but apparently they are only four euro anyway. Apart, met had a modern kitchen, small tv too. There were a few stag parties while we were there which we didn't mind too much as we were out a lot in the evening anyway but they can get rowdy or be a bit loud coming home at five or six in the morning. Lots of lovely restaurants in the old town so never tried the restaurant that was in the hotel. Really enjoyed the break and for the price we paid which was v reasonable we were very happy with cerro mar Atlantico. Ps some great views from some of the balconiesMore
