The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

Nice and central expensive for what you pay
booked this for a wedding, when we got there we checked in at the hotel across which was very nice, the apartments across the road cerro mar atlantica, we booked a room with a view but on check in was told, we were on ground floor looking out at the road and garden between us and the other end of the next apartments, was very disappointed as ppl checked in after us and got 5th floor pool view etc and never requested it. the room was very dated the cream sofa was a pull out couch with a burn and all stained, the kitcheete was well equiped fridge, cups, plates, kettle, toaster, over. there was an ironing board but no iron you had to ask reception for it and 2 hrs was max so in the heat you were over and back, the bed was 2 single beds together. the cleaners didnt come the first day we were there the second we had to ask for towels, and the 3rd we had to ask for it to be cleaned and the 4th day we asked for towels, for the money we paid 460 for 4 nights was a bit much, was close to the center with 150 ish steps down, lovely views from outside the hotel of the beach, breakfast was nice but after 9 am you are waiting for food to come out, and they run out of stuff. over all i dont think id say in the apartments we had access to all the pools but as we were there for a wedding we didnt use them, i may consider staying in the hotel depending on price and reviews. you have to pay for wifi great bar molly maloneys cheap drink tooMore

We have just returned from a two week stay at Cerro Mar Colina Apartments and have only one word to say "fabulous" Apartment was huge with separate large kitchen with fridge/freezer, full size oven and hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and best of all a washing machine. Total bliss to have clean beach towels every day and hardly any dirty laundry to bring home. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the usual idiots who "book" sun beds with towels at the crack of dawn and then don't appear until lunchtime! Very close to Old Town centre but 103 steps were a pain. Fine going down but more difficult coming back up but this didn't stop us using them at least once a day. Restaurants in Old Town were ok and all pretty similar with the exception of Bailote Restaurant. Fabulous food, lots of fresh vegetables and hardly a chip in sight! All in all a brilliant holiday in superb accommodation. More

Very good hotel
I would highly recommend this hotel. It is in a great location only 5 mins walk form old town one way and only 5 minutes the other way for Aldi or Lidl. Very clean, lovely pools, staff helpful and courteous. Staff very friendly towards children. Only criticisms would be wi-fi not being free and no tv channels for kids.More

Nice hotel - shame it's in Albufeira - beware of sun bed hogging!
Nice enough hotel - apartments are clean, well equipped and spacious, most have sea views. Sun bed hogging is rife at this hotel, also people put towels on beds, to literally spend 2 hours a day on them or go off on half day trips and leave towels on beds for their return - how selfish can you get eh? The hotel say that you cannot reserve beds- but do not enforce it ... But is it realistic to expect Brits not to do this? Probably not - so wrongs on both sides maybe. The hotel is more families than couples orientated if you like that vibe. The steps in to town are not really as bad as some would have you believe - wide steps with hand rails all along the way.. Approx 3 minutes to go down approx 5 mins to go up - although the less mobile might struggle admittedly. Our own fault but we booked totally the wrong resort for us - hated Albufeira old town- stupidly busy, tacky bars, some fairly bad 'restaurants' and sometimes you might actually get some alcohol in your cocktails...beware of this classic rip off. The place is full of insecure people spending their evenings gawping at passers by for entertainment - pathetic. To sum up Sun bed thing apart - this is a decent hotel ... But we could not get exited about the resort of Albufeira ...but surprisingly a lot of people do...More

Stayed here for 10 days, rooms were excellent and plenty of space only downside to the apartments was a had no washing machine but had a dishwasher instead , the pools were good but not enough beds to go round . The service from the main reception was excellent and the cleaners done a good job .. The walk to the old town was terrible with the steps and the young ones being rowdy and drunk so spent a lot of our time on the strip because of this and not a lot to cater for the young kids in my family but would defo recommend this hotel to anybody that likes peace and quietMore
