The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
These light and simply furnished 2 bedroom apartments come with a balcony for some extra space outside. They include a kitchen and lounge for that home-from-home feel. Plus, they include a twin bedroom, 2 extra beds, a TV, and air-conditioning.

Just had two weeks there, couldn't fault it at all. Stayed in the Atlantico apartments and it was excellent. Obviously a quiet time of year so not much happening at nights in the town, however some great restaurants on the front for lunches. Hired a car locally from the town, great service. Staff at hotel helpful & will certainly be returning. Couple of niggles on a personal level, could do with hooks in the apartments, a supply of pegs helpful too and it would have been lovely to have had tea/coffee & milk supplied for a drink on arrival. Coped fine with steps, just take your time.More
We came in this hotel in February and it was not really busy. We loved every minute of our stay. The cost of our Apartment was so big and it was so cheap that we could not believe that it was a 4**** hotel. We enjoyed the spa and the swimming pool. it was an unexpected treat for all of us.More
Fantastic value family break.
Just back from a week in Cerro mar atlantico apartments.
Older apartments but recently refurbished with modern furniture & very clean with air con, limited satellite tv & daily cleaning & towel replacement etc.
Outdoor pool freezing this time of year - made the mistake once &
Once only but indoor pool in main hotel was fantastic & heated. Great for my 5.5 month old baby. However bring towels from apartments as they charge â¬2 per towel and â¬2 for locker keys. Bit steep for paying guests if you ask me. Also strict on swimming hats. Both jacuzzis not working in pool & spa area - I would suggest having water in them would help ha!steam room was lovely & sauna was lovely but only working once during my stay.
As previous reviewers have said there are a lot of steps and then a hill to some of the apartment buildings - not ideal with my buggy but there is a long way around and a more accessible flat walk into another restaurant/shopping area. Lidl & aldi 5 mins away if self catering.
All in all great value for money but better for able bodied visitors as steps 5 min walk to old town.
Great Sized Apartments.
We came here at the beginning of July for 11 nights. Had to wait until 2pm before we could get in the apartment but it was worth the wait. Large spacious apartment with excellent kitchen complete with all you need. Plates, cutlery, trays, glasses, oven and hob, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. Although we had our meals out every evening,we had our breakfast in. The Aldi supermarket is about a 10 minute walkaway and is very handy.
And yes, there are at least 99 steps down to The Main Square. We did this several times a day and about Midnight we knew about it!!. Usual problems with the sunbeds. Not enough and they were soon snapped up with towels by 9.00am. Usual problems with Wi-Fi too. Its not FREE and is quite expensive. We paid 7 Euros for 24 hours(Turned out to be nearer £6 by the time credit card bill arrived).
Reception staff always friendly and knew everything you wanted.
Quite disappointed there were no entertainment on at the sister Cerro Mar Gardens for guests and also the bar never seemed open. Lovely bar area but no atmosphere (Unless we missed something).
This is the first time we have done Self-catering for 12 years and maybe what we will do again next year. Having said that,we would happily return here again... Great resort.. Great complex..More

A great appartment
October half term break, we were in 107, a bit of a trek but well worth it. Lovely sea view and close to the pool. Superb kitchen (like new) with everything you could need. Cleaned every day inc clean towels daily. Stayed in Atlantico and Cerro mar gardens both great. Easy walk to Lidl which is so much better than the Aldi for choice. We can recommend Shalom11 restaurant near square, fantastic food also if you are feeling energetic The Cockerel Country Kitchen up the escalator and a few km walk (or take tourist train) well worth looking up before you go. Perfect hotel, area and beach for a late break.More
