Cerro Mar Colina

Loading

The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.

From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in a 5 minutes.

Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

Great hotel

Just back home after a 2 week stay arrived late at night and found it hard to find apartment but when we did what a surprise we had room 105 colina block pool view low floor just what i had asked for in my email a few weeks earlier apartment spotless and was cleaned every day never washed any dishes for a fortnight thanks to the dish washer .washing machine full cooker and fridge freezer make these apartments stand out from others.sunbeds are the only problem get there by 7 or miss out through to selfish guests who put towels on them and then don't come down till after 12 and then only sun bathe for couple of hours hotel please sort this out. We knew about the steps before arriving they certainly give your calves a work out. Kat the Thomson rep is fab ask her a question and she knows the answer just what you need when its your 1st holiday in Portugal. Would i visit again definitely fab time didn't want to leaveMore

the staff are very friendly the apartments are fantastic there is a washing machine and a nice long balcony the pool bar has delicious sandwiches avoid the shop just outside the complex because there over priced and there is an owlone behind the till who is very hard to deal with. there is a great choice of pools we would definitly go back More

Ian M,

Beware of the blocks!

Everyone talks about the steps... As a fit young family these weren't a problem for us and does make the location very convenient to the old square etc. For me, the real issue is the way the 'Hotel' is divided into blocks of all ages and standard. We arrived on a Thursday in mid August, for two nights, just as an extension to our Villa holiday and I was horrified with our original 2 bed apartment. I'm not sure of the block name but as you walk out from reception it was on your left and we were at the back of this block (Room 406 I think). The apartment was quite spacious but incredibly dated - feeling really old and dark and the 'balcony' looked directly onto wasteland and an old derelict building. Although we were only staying for 2 nights this wasn't the 4 star I had booked and I wasn't willing to accept it - at best this was 2 star... I phoned reception and after being told twice they were fully booked the lady eventually spoke to somebody and I was told to 'come back to reception quickly'. I rushed back and was shown another room - this time I was taken to the block directly across the road from the main reception (had a small convenience store underneath). I was shown room 403 and although in my opinion still not 4 star was much more acceptable and we were given this room instead. I was led to believe, the reason I was told to rush back was because some other poor family was booked into this room and would now clearly be getting our original room - I felt a bit guilty for that family I have to say. So, that aside, once in and settled the pools were all fine, bars and staff ok and as already mentioned the 'Hotel' is in a good central location. We weren't stressing about lack of sunbeds as it was a short stay. It's certainly not a holiday destination for us - but ok for a night or two if you want to extend your break. But beware of the 'blocks' when booking!More

MJS_0911,

lovely holiday

This place is amazing, we went here in May and had the most relaxing holiday ever. It's along walk down the steps to the town but well worth it. The pool bar is a bonus and the staff are excellent. The view from our room was not great but from the pool the views were stunning.More

Lovely hotel

We have just returned from a 9 day stay at the cero mar and I could of stayed another 9. Such a lovely hotel and reception staff couldn't do enough for you! There is an aldi and lidl within 5 min walk which was ideal as we were self catering. I would recommend attending the BBQ the hotel put on a weds night. There are quite a few stairs 104 in fact to get to square but don't let that put you off as there's some great restaurants and bars once you get down there I would recommend trying the shalom restaurant for a meal. Wouldn't recommend for anyone who finds walking difficult as it's quite hilly once you get back up the stairs. All in all this hotel is brilliant for all ages our children are 6,9 & 11 and loved it so much we're going back next year!More
