Cerro Mar Colina

The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.

From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.

Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.

Excellent holiday

We arrived home tuesday morning, what a great holiday had by all. 8 adults and 5 kids was in the block with the smaller pool . Room 210. Group of 13, of us. What a great complex this was. Cleaned each day with fresh towels. We went to the local Aldi every other day and bought fresh bagguetes , milk, juice , pop and ice creams, without this i think we would have spent alot of money. The walk to Aldi wasnt even 5 minutes away. Weather was lovely all week . My sister had a 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor with stunning views and a balcony so big . We ate out in the old town each night, will leave reviews for each of these but our favourtite we found the night before our last was on the beach front , lovely steak house We ate at the pool bar during the day on some occassions and found this really well althoogh we brought our own drinks down as gets expensive with drinks. Shop was 1 min away so we went and bought cans etc from there . We went to the go karting in the marina one day , this was a great family outing although younger children would struggle. Dont normally go back to the same place but i would travel back to Albuferia and also the wonderful Cerro mar atlantico.More

Good stay all around

Very decent hotel. Has everything you could possibly look for. Great stay since you're free to use all facilities including the spa's sauna jacuzzi and steam room. Has 5 pools but sun beds are limited since people tend to hog and save them despite the polite notice asking them not to do so. Very close to the lively main square where crowds tend to gather for some food, gelato and souvenirs. Also very close to the beach so all in all the location was quite perfect. Most staff are friendly and professional, but special thanks to Adriano who we found was the most knowledgeable and helpful also to the young men at the restaurant where we had dinner since we're half board, they always made us feel special. Can't fault breakfast either they have everything even lemon water with mint which is a very effective way to detox in the a.m. Dinner also was great with a several choices of meat and dishes. There's always fish and chicken so you can't go wrong. I found it was better than most what you would normally get at most eateries around especially for what we paid. Definitely good value for money. The apartments were really nice but cleaning and tidying were not consistent. Some days it was great some days not so much. But overall we had a great holiday and would consider coming back here again if ever. More

Gail B,

Great value for money holiday

When I reflect on what we paid for a weeks holiday for 4 in the school summer holidays I am shocked at what we got !!! great value for money with a huge apartment in the lovely Colina block with beautiful views of the sea . I emailed a few days before we travelled and asked if we could have a top floor apartment and they accommodated my request and the view didn't disappoint. The dishwasher and washing machine was a great asset and we really didn't need to take half the clothes we did. Cleaners where great and visited everyday and the overall view of staff was good. All seemed helpful and welcoming. The only issue is the sunbeds and there is a crazy few who either put towels out before bedtime or get up before us normal people do!!! we seemed to spend most days round the smaller pool which didn't seem as popular and most days if we went down by 9 got a bed so all was ok ...I would image most resorts have sunbed issues but here it does seem to be something people are obsessed about!! Neither the less didn't ruin our holiday and we would be sure to go again.. The stairs to old town and beach are a challenge but if you take it at your own pace they are manageable.. Great week for a great price ... Would recommend for sure More

Emma S,

Nice Hotel

4 of us stayed at this hotel for 9 days in July, check in went well, after requesting a room with a view, that is exactly what we got, rooms are spacious, kitchen washing machine etc, view from our balcony was lovely, room was kept clean by the cleaners. we were right beside the pool which was handy, the pool area could have been kept a bit more clean, there were deflated lilos hanging around the green for days, there was some muddy grass where people lay too.. Two of the people that were with us did get ear infections out the pool, and we knew a few other people who also got infections from the pool, the pool is deep so armbands would be needed for small children. The walk down to the old town only took 5 mins, yes the steps can be a pain, but you get used to them, they are not that bad. Over all I did enjoy my stay at the Cerro Mar Atlantico, apartment met our needs, just needs to improve on the cleanliness at the pool. There are other pools on the opposite side of the road in the Cerro Mar Garden, we did not go over as it was a bit overcrowded. I think we did pay a bit more then this hotel was worth.More
