The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

Very pleasant stay at the Cerro Mar Apartment Hotel
The Cerro Mar is a first rate apartment hotel complex. Clean, affordable with super apartments that are really enticing for a longer term stay. However, be prepared to walk up and down the hills of Albufeira for anything that you need, or want, to do. A positive experience with my only comment being directed at the lack of wifi. It is free in the common areas,ie. bar and reception if you can get access. Otherwise you pay for each device as only one is allowed at a time. As a Canadian without a phone, access is important if we are to plan our reservations etc. More
Really lovely hotel - we were in the self catering side but had full use of the facilities in the main hotel. Our apartment overlooked the pool, was really clean and had a washing machine and dishwasher too. All the staff were lovely. It's true it's up a hill with lots of steps into the Old Town but there's a complimentary bus several times a day if you don't want to walk it. The main bus station is about 20 mins walk away and very efficient, we visited Vilamoura, Olhos de Agua and Alvor, all lovely places. If you're self catering there's an Aldi and Lidl about 10 minutes away. More
We have just returned from a 4 night break 2 adults, 2 teenagers Cannot fault the accommodation, very clean, sofa bed in living area was 2 separate beds and fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. Our apartment had lovely sea views. We also used the facilities at the hotel (spa, gym, indoor pool area) again very clean. To get in to the old town there is a steep hill and lots of steps, this did not bother us. We will definitely return to this complex More
A 3 week winter getaway.
We booked almost a year in advance with AirTransat Vacations and we were excited to get to the Algarve. However, we were very disappointed with the apartment unit we had initially. It was clean and spacious but it had a tiny balcony facing a stone wall and it was a way at the back of the resort, at ground level, where the sun didn't shine. Friends of ours, who booked with us, had a sea view unit with a large balcony overlooking the town, with a fabulous view. We complained and after 9 days, we got a better unit with a larger balcony facing the pool and finally, we saw the sun. The reception staff was very cordial and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was exceptional. We found the restaurant food average. The resort is well located just above the town centre and only 10 minutes away from the ocean. A very nice resort, but ensure that you get a unit with a decent view and balcony, especially if your flying 7/8 hours to get there.More
Not all what it seems bit disappointed ð
Our first view from the reviews was this probably matches and ticks all the boxes we needed. We travelled with 2 young children and rented self catering apartment. Having said that the rooms layout was comfortable and overall stay was good. Everyday cleaning service. This hotel is two complexes put together. There is only one main reception which is the Cerra Mar Garden and everything seems to be out of here. For the Atlantico it is much further away from the actual reception and up and down inside dark stairwells and it is more on the old fashioned side. We ended up staying at the Cerra mar garden which was well updated and modern the biggest downside was there was no microwave in the whole of the apartments everything else was well equipped but In a self catering apartment that is a basic necessity esp with kids. I'd read some hotels didn't haven ovens but never did I think microwave wouldn't be available? So heating food proved difficult for us at times. The indoor pool and spa was all inside the reception area and you'd have to physically come out of your block and get across via reception to get to it. That was a downside. There was also restaurant there but everything was like offsite! The 98 steps down to old town was not as bad as people make out we did it with toddler and pushchair the steps are quite wide so not too bad! On the other side of old town you havethe escalator to take you back up lea short taxi ride costing about â¬3/â¬4 Euros max. Although Lidl and Aldi are nearby its still a bit of an uphill walk to get to. No specific shortcuts available. We were a bit disappointed with the layout of the overall blocks of everything g offsite but an enjoyable stay I'd suggest anyone wanting to book then ensure your as close to reception as possible andin Cerra mar garden rather than Atlantico More
