The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.
This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. My wife and I had a very nice apartment, every thing you need for self catering, but the hotel had a really good restaurant which we used three times,. The apartment was cleaned every day and new towels and bed made each day with a change of bedding midweek. The hotel is about 10/15 minute walk down some steep steps to the Old Town (main square ) the hotel provides a shuttle bus every two hours but there's plenty of taxi,s costing about 4euros. There's loads of restaurants in and around town.More

Clean spacious apartments plenary of space inside and out. A place to chill out. Ok so It's a tough walk up the steps and hill but it's worth it for the views over the old town and sea. A gem of a place. Each apartment block feels like a separate little hotel
"Very Pleasant Week At Cerro Mar Atlantico"
Just returned from a very pleasant week at the Cerro Mar Atlantico, we were in building number 5 , directly across the road from the main Cerro Mar Gardens, we had a view looking down on the old town & sea, very friendly and curtious staff ,, room was spotless and cleaned every day , facilities , washing machine , kettle , toaster , loads of cutlery,a huge fridge & freezer , downside on the apartment was the beds & TV , both need updating sharpish , beds were rock hard and least said about the tv the better , it's simple in this day and age to accomodate the uk visitors with 5 channels as we found inn Tenerife , so why not here , ok moan over , the main building housed bars and restaurant , gym swimming pool etc , breakfast is about 7 euros and not bad , but we cooked our own most mornings, the old town is a great place to visit the 98 steps are nothing really and half of it is not steep at all , a visit to Cafe Da Fonte is a must beautiful food , we were daft enough to take a taxi from the airport and it cost 60 euros , we booked a private one through the hotel on returning at only 35 euros ,lesson learned , the beaches are beautiful and all in all a lovely place and would go back again , our room was nice and quiet but we had no neighbours until the last night when you can hear every move made .More

Walking distance to the Old Town, worth checking out
Rented a 1 x bed apartment which are located across the street & up the hill from main hotel. Joao was friendly & courteous checking me in. Apartment had everything I needed, breautifully new finished bathroom, kitchen very well stocked with pots, cutlery etc. Apartment had a view of the pool & the Atlantic in the distance. You had the sounds from the Old Town as well as the ocean, just blissful. Not quite sure the lift worked to get to the 3rd floor but this was ok for me. The walk to the Old town is very steep & you have a long set of steps down. This may be difficult if you have any accessibility/walking issues. I loved it. Small shop downstairs from the apartment & then the Old Town was 5mins away. Breakfast was buffet & perfect for what I needed. Christine in the Spa gave me a gorgeous massage. The staff here were also friendly & always smiling. Gym is fully equipped to do your session also! Lots of options for the fitness enthusiast as well as an indoor pool!More
