Cerro Mar Colina

The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.

From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.

Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

Good apartments

Just returned from these apartments 28/6/15, very good complex, clean, tidy and good pools. Apartments clean, spacious, everything you need, with large balcony. Location is above the Old Town Square, there are 95 steps and then a heavy hill walk to the apartments, which is hard going at the end of a night out, you could also take a taxi to the apartmentsMore

Lovely hotel

Just back from 11 night holiday. Booked self catering and had room 503 in Atlantico block. Great apartment, very clean and amazing views over old town and Atlantic. Steps to old town not to bad but definitely not for heels. Will definitely be back next year.More

A Fabulous Experience

An excellent apartment just on the outskirts of Albufeira. Located on the side of a hill with breath taking views over the town and the coast. Check-in was quick and straightforward, staff very pleasant and informative. Apartment was beyond expectations for the price we had paid. We were in room 410 which consisted of lobby, bathroom with shower, bedroom with patio door/terrace overlooking the pool, kitchen with patio doors and lounge with patio doors/balcony overlooking the old town and coast. There were a/c units in the bedroom and lounge. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. All facilities and utensils that you would need except for a microwave, there were even a dishwasher and washer dryer for laundry. Plenty of storage, seating available throughout. Bit miffed by having to pay 10 euro for a safe lock, but soon forgot about that when we saw the view from the lounge. The apartments have use of the facilities in the main hotel across the road which included café, restaurant, pool, gym ect. Apartment was a ten minute walk down the now famous steps, slightly longer to get back – around fifteen minutes at a steady pace. Plenty of taxi`s available if you are of limited mobility. Without doubt I would recommend staying here for location, facilities and value for money.More

Excellent hotel with really good security features.

Just arrived back from a ten day holiday. We stayed as a family of four in a very nice one bedroom apartment. We arrived at 2.00 pm and we were able to check in straight away, although check in is normally 3.00 pm. We were given room 106 in block 5 in the Cerro Mar Atlantico apartments which are across the road from the Cerro Mar Garden hotel. To access the block you have to unlock a green gate and then unlock the main door to the apartments. There are also security cameras on the entrance into the apartment block. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It also had all the amenities you could wish for including a washing machine and a dish washer. You could make a meal from scratch if you so desired as all crockery, pots and pans etc. were provided. There is a safe in the wardrobe which costs 10 euros per week. We stayed half board and the food was lovely. Breakfast was the traditional English bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs etc. The evening meals consisted of soup, one fish course, 2 meat dishes and a pasta dish. There was not a great deal of choice but the hotel had obviously gone for quality over quantity. The hotel also provided a separate menu service in the restaurant as well. The pools were very clean but extremely cold and you could use any of the 4 pools. The hotel discouraged reserving sunbeds and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. The hotel is in a very good location and very near the main square. The 99 steps down to the square keep you fit. I would recommend flattish shoes for the ladies as there are a lot of cobbled streets. The weather was a lovely 28 in the day and about 18 in the evening. I really enjoyed the holiday and would definitely return to these apartments.More

Pretty Pleased

I have just got back from a week stay here with my boyfriend and we were pretty impressed. To be honest we weren't expecting too much as we opted for a studio but in all fairness it was a very decent size with a small entrance hall with a table and chairs and a separate fully equipped kitchen. Our balcony was in the shade at all times but was ground floor so didn't make much of a difference. The complex itself is really massive with 5 swimming pools and three separate buildings. Our beds were made everyday which was nice. Staff were all pleasant, which also makes for a comfortable stay. The steps were totally fine unless you are elderly it would not be ideal. The steps bring you right into the old town which is really nice, lots of shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend. Cerro Mar is very large and a lot of visitors coming and going so can be hard to meet people, I suppose it is more of a personal preference that I like what a smaller complex can offer in terms of meeting people.More
