Hotel Falesia

A tropical garden setting gives the Hotel Falesia a really private feel. It’s also got a big TripAdvisor following, and it was rated the best hotel in Albufeira in 2013.

The Hotel Falesia’s good-looking gardens set the scene for a terrace-framed pool and al fresco dining areas. Beyond the gardens is a sandy beach and some of Portugal’s best golf courses.

This hotel does things in style, with a smart restaurant and a spa offering caviar treatments. Luxury room options include junior suites stocked with little extras like bathrobes and slippers.

Not Four Star

I cannot believe how people rate this hotel so highly they must have been to some very poor hotels. Good Points. Gardens well kept.Plenty of sunbeds,Restaurant clean and well run. Bad Points . To many hidden extras.14 euros a week for a kettle 14 euros a week for bathrobe 17.5 euros a week for safe 17.5 euros a week for the fridge You even have to pay for water with your evening meal 3 euros for 2 25ml bottles. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishing so are the chairs in the lounge bar. The white cushions on the seats of the chairs at the pool bar have mould on them.More

Nice holiday despite the weather

we have had a really lovely holiday at this hotel .We had room 307 looking over the pool it is a junior suit and was just perfect although the bathroom is really in need of an urgent refurbishment. The room got all afternoon sun when it came out and you could see the sun setting truly lovely. The house keeping is really good even took my own towel to wash but unfortunately never brought it back . The location of the hotel is the only draw back of the holiday the sea is quite a walk through the hotel next door, for me and my husband this was no problem but I can see it being one for people that are not so agile, loads of steps down and then loads of steps up. At the bottom a café/bar little more expensive than others but its were it is and also a first aid point which I feel should be at the top of the steps and if you have walked them I am sure you will agree. Because of were it is, it is a very quite hotel there is no promenade or sea front just an hand full shops / bars . T he food was ok probably the best holiday hotel buffet they we have found. One little gripe you cannot take a drink from bar to restaurant and vice versa . The out side pool very cold but the inside pool was great, most times had it all to my self. Most of the staff were helpful but like in all walks of life there is always one!!!! The entertainment and the entertainment team are the best that we have come across in all the hotels that we have stayed in Garth and Leah work long hours but even at the end of the day give it their all and not to forget Dan . Met some really nice people and had a really good holiday despite the horrible weatherMore

A superb hotel

We stayed at this hotel between the 2nd and 9th October 2014. We were very impressed by the hotel facilities and the excellent staff. The check in staff at reception were very polite and efficient, the cleaning team did an excellent job. The Thompson Gold staff did their job's really well and encouraged everybody to join in the activities but didn't force anybody to. The pool was an excellent and you could swim as much as you liked, it was never very busy. The restaurant put on excellent buffet style meals which provided an excellent variety of food. Again the staff in the restaurant were very friendly. The chefs were frequently around encouraging us to try their dishes. There was also a good selection of wines. There are no children allowed at this hotel so the average age of guests is 45+. The 'no children under 18' aspect is what attracted us to the hotel and we were not disappointed. There is no sea view from the hotel but it is only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach or the hotel runs a courtesy bus if you prefer. The cliffs at the beach are stunning, and we watched a sunset there one evening which was awesome. A very romantic setting! All in all we had a fantastic week there and cannot recommend the hotel and it's wonderful staff enough.More

friendly and quiet

After our arrival in Lissabon we drove down to Algarve by rental car and were very pleased to get a lovely room here. The welcoming by the staff was very friendly and we felt home immediately. Even though I do not like buffets very much, at the Falesia they were exceptionally good. Especially the breakfast was plentiful and with the freshly made eggs for every taste was a really good start into our days. We slept very well in this quiet place. Several beaches are minutes away by car. Even if you do not have a car you still can youse their shuttle service. Extremely good value for the money. I would come back any time.More
