Second visit to this lovely hotel however food not as good as previous visit

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Faleshia Hotel , lovely stay , weather was fantastic , we were lucky as previous week it had rained ! We last stayed at this hotel four years ago ( see previous review ) and throughly enjoyed it and decided to go back this year. Rooms are now refurbished which are lovely with fab showers! We had a junior suite on third floor with beautiful view of the pretty gardens and pool . I had emailed the hotel before I went to request a room on high floor with good view and that is what they gave us so we thought that was lovely . However I will be honest and say the food at the evening meals this time was very disappointing, it was very inconsistent , we had three nights where there was loads of choices, and then four of the nights there was very little to choose from particularly the hot dishes , and some of them looked very unappetising . The salad bars though you couldn't fault at all. Desserts hit and miss too, some evenings there were loads to choose from , others very limited . Also one glitch you are never shown to a table , you have to look around for one which can be a nuisance when it's busy and you feel a little lost , I think you should be shown to a table which would be far better . Breakfast very good however the coffee machines are very poor , not enough of them , and there was always a queue for them . I think coffee and tea should be brought to your table by waiters/ waitresses . Also you had to get cups and saucers, they should be on table ready . If you fancy eating lunchtime try Hugo's Tapas bar which is a couple of minutes walk from hotel , run my lovely couple , we went there four years ago when we stayed in Faleshia , the food is fab , homemade , real chips ! You must try the homemade fish cakes, they are gorgeous ! And the prices are very cheap ! We went there everyday and in the evening too for a quiet drink . Entertainment in hotel is average , geared more for older clientele . Staff are so helpful and friendly and everything in hotel is immaculate , rooms , grounds etc , but the only thing I would say that let it down this time was the evening meals. More

Had a good holiday despite the rain

Great hotel, adults only, food was Realy good lots of choice. Lots of entertainment day and evening. Hotel clean, missed a sea view though. Was nice to have the indoor swimming pool as the weather was not good rained on four days out of seven it would of been better later in the season. Went to the spa for a nice facial and massage a couple of times very nice lady, very professional. It was so nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, the rainstorm was great.a local man did walks around the area and there was a free bus to the beach, or to a couple of other resorts for 5euros return. All said I enjoyed the hotel and the staff were very friendly.More

Despite the cruel weather

Enjoyed yet another week's stay in the Falesia Hotel on Portugal's Algarve. The newly renovated rooms were of an excellent standard. The hotel's entertainment team provided the hotel guests with various events despite the appalling freak wet weather. The hotel restaurant provided an excellent dining selection and service. This was my second stay at the Falesia it's a great hotel for adults only. The local village has every amenitie bars restaurants and supermarkets. The beaches are within a reasonable walking distance and of the ultra best Algarve standard.More
