Hotel Falesia

A tropical garden setting gives the Hotel Falesia a really private feel. It’s also got a big TripAdvisor following, and it was rated the best hotel in Albufeira in 2013.

The Hotel Falesia’s good-looking gardens set the scene for a terrace-framed pool and al fresco dining areas. Beyond the gardens is a sandy beach and some of Portugal’s best golf courses.

This hotel does things in style, with a smart restaurant and a spa offering caviar treatments. Luxury room options include junior suites stocked with little extras like bathrobes and slippers.

It is very good in the main.

Enjoyed our stay. Extra charges for fridge and safe annoying. Thomson reps. efforts cheesy at best, although they seemed very keen and pleasant. Overall the entertainers were good. Rooms a little tired and the room we were given, supposedly an up grade, but we think only up graded because nobody would have been happy paying extra for the view of the 'tradesmans' entrance. The food was good and lots of variety. The location quite a trek from the beach and main town of Albufeira.More

Relaxing break

The Falesia is a Thompson Gold hotel so we were expecting great things of it and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival at the hotel even though we were two hours late (no fault of the hotel, Thompson managed to mess up our flight by sending our pilot to Edinburgh). Bags are taken to your room and a light lunch was laid on though there was a small charge. The hotel is impressive, spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable. We did have a squeaky bed but this was sorted without any fuss. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem finding a sun bed, there is a pool table and table tennis available too. Dinning was no problem with plenty of choice most evenings, though we did find it a little repetitive towards the end of our stay. Food quality was excellent though, and the staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Breakfast was also good and it was nice to be able to sit outside and eat. The entertainment in the evenings was rather hit and miss, but then who goes on holiday for the entertainment! The beach is a twenty minute walk through the grounds of the neighbouring hotel and is worth seeking out and it is lovely and quite quiet if you stroll to the east. You can also walk to Olhos de Agua or even Vilamoura if you are feeling energetic. The hotel also runs regular bus trips to the beach (free), Vilamoura and Albufeira for a small charge. Would we return here, probably not but would still recommend if you want a quiet (not a single child in sight) relaxing break.More

Returning 3 years on!!

Stayed here before in 2011 and loved it. Very little has changed food still superb, staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, rooms clean and fairly spacious. Stayed for 12 days only fault would be that menu appears to repeat after first 7 days although that not really a problem due to the vast choice available. Will definitely return in near futureMore

Terry F,

Rob Ashcott Fantastic Hotel

Fantastic Hotel Top quality, Food, Entertainment, Hotel Staff and Thomson Staff. We went on one excursion the Guardiana river trip best day of the holiday not cheap but a must. Only hotel complaint - in this equal world, Men not allowed to wear shorts but Women can. We had the same last year in Cypress Hotel Tasia Maris which incedently was also a fantastic hotel. The only other downside is the location, you really need a car. Over all a first class holiday. In my top 3 hotels. Would I go again No but only because of the Location.More

Still Good but Tired

As usual the hotel was ready at reception to get everyone checked in. We were quickly checked in cases unpacked and down by the pool. Plenty of sunbeds (new) available as you would expect at this time of year. The place is in need of refurbishment but that does not detract from the welcome, the friendliness of the staff and the overall feel good factor. The rooms do need help but are spotlessly clean and well maintained by the maids on a daily basis. The food is beyond belief at all meals, an excellent array of foods to suit all although but I must say for our stay the breakfast bacon was pure fat with the odd bit of pink. It made streaky bacon look like back bacon! But forget the bacon there was plenty of everything else. It was hard to find a guest who was not a return visitor. Thank you Falesia but please spend some money on the bedrooms!More
