W Grand  

They say you should never judge a book by its cover. And it's the same rule of thumb at the W Grand. On first appearances, it looks like your average, run-of-the-mill hotel. There's nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. On closer inspection though, it's a very different story.



Step inside and the lobby sets a modern scene. Cue polished floors, mood lighting and terracotta-coloured walls. And the rest of the hotel is just as refreshing. The restaurant is sophisticated with wood-panelled walls and elegantly laid tables. It serves up delicious homemade meals too, with Montenegrin and international dishes on the menu. Plus it spills out onto smart terrace, which houses a chic cafe bar with high-backed chairs and sea views that are to die for.



The bedrooms don't disappoint either. With just 50 in total, you're never treated like a room number. They're simply furnished but light and airy with sand and sky-coloured decor, laminate flooring and city pad-style furnishings. All have satellite TV, internet access and balconies with sea views. Some also come with mini kitchens, so you can rustle up the odd meal. And for larger parties, interconnecting rooms are available.



While you're here, the sun-drenched terrace is a lovely spot to soak up the tranquillity, and it's roomy to boot. Save a slot for a stint in the spa, too. With a massage bath and a heavenly list of treatments, it's well worth a visit. There's a small gym and a whirlpool bath and sauna, too. And if you're travelling with children, there's a playground to keep them entertained.



There's plenty on the doorstep, too. Not only is the sandy beach about a five minute walk, lively Petrovac is within easy strolling distance too, with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. And there's also a beautiful pine forest which makes great rambling territory. Once you've experienced the W Grand, you'll never judge a book by its cover again.
