Qawra is part of a string of resorts, stretching for five kilometres along St Paul's Bay, around Qawra Point and into Salina Bay. They share a good climate and a variety of attractions. Only 16 kilometres from Valletta, Qawra is the most recently developed resort and is popular with the locals. Its drawback is that it is still growing, with some building work in evidence.

Local information
A visit to the relatively uninhabited North coast can provide a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Qawra and has some good walking opportunities. Inland the town of Mdina, which has been a fortified city for more than 3000 years, has an abundance of pretty, narrow streets to explore. Sometimes called the 'Silent City' Mdina pleasantly contrasts the less tranquil coastal resorts.
