The imposing ‘turreted’ building has long been thought of as the symbol of Viareggio and was once the resort’s finest hotel. A classic of its period - the first hotel to be built in Viareggio, The Grand Hotel Royal recaptures the atmosphere of times gone by.

The Royal still retains many of the features of yesteryear and has a faded elegance much loved by its guests.

The grand, spacious entrance hall opens into the light-filled restaurant which has a domed glass ceiling; this impressive room looks out over the tranquil gardens where there's a large swimming pool.

In fact the Royal is the only hotel in Viareggio to boast both a pool and a garden. Viareggio’s famous stretch of sandy beach lies just across the road and charges at the Royal’s beach are included.
