Ripabella's swimming pool and garden terraces share what must be one of the most enviable views in Tuscany - rolling Chianti hills decked with vines and olives.

Converted from an outbuilding of a Tuscan country house in 1997, Ripabella consists of three charming one-bedroom apartments. I Pini and Le Palme are semi-detached with separate entrances and their own terrace to ensure independence for individual couples and Le Querce is located slightly apart at a lower level. Ripabella provides the ideal solution for couples travelling together - individual accommodation but sharing the beautiful grounds and terraces.

Terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and wrought-iron bed frames provide traditional touches while the owners' superb taste is reflected in the choice of pretty soft furnishings. The bedroom in each apartment opens on to the spacious dining terrace above the vines and olive groves that spread out below. Le Querci is the the most recently renovated of the three and is more spacious than its neighbours and set slightly apart at a lower level with a separate terrace.

Nearby woods and tracks provide excellent walking while bicycles are available for those who prefer a faster pace. Guests share the use of the lovely swimming pool - with an ample supply of comfy sunloungers - luxurious garden and verdant lawns with the owners of the house. But as they are infrequent users of the pool and gardens, guests at Ripabella will often feel like the 'Lord of the Manor'.
