Your guide to
Montespertoli, Tuscany
"If you’re idea of holiday heaven is a peaceful pocket of rural Tuscany where you can enjoy the very best of what local life has to offer, Montespertoli will be right up you street."
Connoisseurs of all descriptions will love Montespertoli and the surrounding district. There are few better places to choose for your holiday. Montespertoli Is set in the very heart of
Tuscany where Chianti production is at its peak. There’s a huge Chianti festival here every year and even a museum featuring a laboratory of the senses, devoted to this world-prized wine! If you’re a lover of beautiful scenery and stunning views across gently rolling hills speckled with delightful villages, you need look no further. The countryside around Montespertoli seduces the eye with its emerald green hillsides covered in flame-coloured flowers and lush vineyards. While olive groves add a lighter, cooler tone to the countryside’s palette. If you’re a connoisseur of fine food, Montespertoli will provide you with a feast. Complementing the Chianti perfectly, the regional specialities are truffle-based dishes using the fresh truffles and wild fungi that are collected at dawn each day when in season. The charming little trattorias found tucked away in side streets and clustered around the piazzas will treat you to some of the finest food in the entire district, whilst the lively market held in the main village square will give you the opportunity to buy fresh local produce – including the truffles – and try your hand yourself. And finally, if you’re a connoisseur of relaxation days spent under a shady tree, watching the gentle pace of life in Montespertoli, will prove entirely satisfactory.
