Isola Bella Bay is Taormina Mare's main beach. It's made up of pebbles and has public and lido areas as well as a picturesque island in the middle. Beaches like Spisone, Mazzaro, Capo Sant'Andrea and Capo Taormina boast vast inlets and curves which model the coast and follow one another. Rock, gravel and sand are framed by Mediterranean vegetation and surrounded by an azure sea.
Entertainment centres mainly on eating out, walking along the Corso Umberto promenade and sitting in one of the many pavement cafes in Taormina. Choose from a vast array of cuisine, ranging from fast food to family-run pizzerias and upmarket restaurants.
There are also several pub-style bars, an exclusive nightclub, indoor disco and a few open-air garden discos with piano bar restaurant. Taormina itself is reached by cable car every 15 minutes and takes about 8 minutes to reach.
There are plenty of expensive boutiques, shoe shops, jewellers, art and antique furniture dealers. There are also several pottery, lace and craft shops as well as souvenir bazaars. Taormina Mare also plays host to a small weekly market which is well worth a look in.

There are various tours on offer to take you up to the top, or you can take the cable car, take a bus or walk up. Another stunning site above Taormina is the Teatro Greco, or Greek Theatre. Although originally built by the Greeks, it was largely remodelled by the Romans. You can enjoy the breathtaking views of Etna and the town from this stunning vantage point.
