If you're looking for stylish holiday accommodation with plenty of Sicilian character, the Levante Apartments are the perfect getaway right in the heart of the historical centre (Ortigia) of the town of Siracusa. Housed in a beautiful baroque 16th century pastel-painted building, it's a traditional Italian gem. We're talking wrought-iron balconies. Wooden shuttered windows. And terracotta-tiled roofs. Yet step inside, and you'll find a classically modern ambience.
We've got three charming properties to choose from. Each one is neutrally decorated with whitewashed walls and coffee and cream coloured furnishings. The first is a swanky three-storey apartment. On the ground floor, you'll find a kitchen area where you can create authentic Sicilian dishes. A sophisticated dining area with exquisite tiled floors and sleek furnishings. And a relaxing sitting area for when you want to put your feet up. The first floor has a chic lounge with a sink-into sofa that doubles up as a bed, a balcony and a bathroom with shower. And if you make your way up to the second floor there's a restful double bedroom with glass French doors leading out onto the fabulous sea-view roof terrace.
We also have two studio apartments in a separate building nearby. Both with cool tiled flooring, beamed ceilings, foot balcony, comfortable living areas, double bed and a small kitchen area. Whichever property you choose, you'll be right at the heart of Ortigia, just a few minutes' walk through the labyrinthine alleyways to the delightful shops and restaurants of the old town. And if you want to soak up the sunshine, Siracusa Beach is right on your doorstep, too. It doesn't get any better than this.
