Villa Dammuso

When Cesare, the owner of two other properties in our portfolio, approached us with a third we knew the standard would be high and so we are thrilled to introduce Villa Dammuso to our collection.

Set in an elevated position, surrounded by beautiful countryside and olive groves, this former 12th-century watchtower surveys magnificent views of the baroque town of Noto and the Ionian Sea beyond. Great care has been taken to convert the tower into comfortable accommodation while still retaining the original stone walls and features.

Inside, the villa is simply and attractively furnished with parquet floors throughout. The covered terrace opens onto a cosy open-plan living/dining room with kitchenette. The small bathroom, with original stonework is also found on this floor while a flight of steps lead up to the double bedroom on mezzanine level which has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and half-moon window at floor level.

A narrow stone stairway from the bedroom leads to a rooftop terrace which affords wonderful views and is the perfect place to share a bottle of Nero d'Avola wine and take in this privileged position. So too is the covered terrace at the entrance to the villa where a meal can be enjoyed al fresco.
