Villa Floridia

Set in well-tended grounds of ancient olive trees, macchia and palm trees is stone clad Villa Floridia named after the nearby town which was founded in 1628.

The entrance opens onto a large lounge decorated with precious 18th-century ceramics from Caltagirone. The centrepiece of this room is the large fireplace surrounded by a large sofa and antique pieces as well as the more modern additions of a TV and stereo. The dining table is adjacent to a picture window which overlooks the garden. There is also a recess in this room for a sofa bed. One of the bedrooms and shower room is on the ground floor while the master bedroom and its shower room can be found up a wrought iron spiral staircase in the 'tower', which benefits from beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and even as far as Siracusa and the coast.

At Villa Floridia you'll find everything you need for a restful holiday particularly with the new addition of a hydro-massage pool in the garden. However, it would be a shame not to explore the delights this corner of Sicily has to offer from the architectural glory of Siracusa to the golden beaches of Arenella and Fontane Bianche and a day out in Caltagirone is a must to see where the ceramics in your villa are made!
