If you wish to go farther afield there are plenty of archaeological sites to visit and the hotel has a number of tailor-made excursions available with the added bonus of your own English speaking guide. If you are staying at the hotel during the grape harvest there will be the chance to help out and see how the wine is produced.

The surrounding area has dramatic scenery with lakes, mountains and fascinating rock formations, so before you start exploring, the hotel's breakfast of homemade yoghurts and cakes will set you up for the day.
