Trullo Giardino

Built in 1877, Trullo Giardino is actually five trulli linked together so the double and twin bedrooms, the shower room and the living room with its adjacent kitchen all sit under attractive cone-shaped ceilings. The trullo's friendly owners used to spend their summers here and as such the trullo is full of antiques and curios it takes a generation or two to gather.

The owners Michele and Mimma and their 2 dogs now live in the apartment adjoining the trullo - they are discreetly on hand to tend to their fruit orchard and gardens and play the perfect hosts to their guests during their stay .Mimma loves to prepare local dishes and tasty cakes to share with guests and even give tips on how to prepare local recipes, many past guests have become firm friends with the family and return year after year.

The gardens brimming over with flowering geraniums and bougainvillaea are indeed a delight and there is a sitting out area and a barbecue for al fresco living. The pretty garden boasts an attractive swimming pool with paved surrounds and shady gazebo where guests can relax . The Villa is ideally situated for visiting the area and is only 15kms from the coast. Cisternino, awarded the accolade of being one of fifteen of Italy's most beautiful old towns, is approx. 3km away. Dinner at one of Cisternino's restaurants, washed down with a bottle of the white wine produced in and around Cisternino and Locorotondo is highly recommended.
