Cupped into Sorrento's cushiony-green hills, the Vue d'Or couldn't be in a better spot. When you really want to relax, make a beeline for the oval-shaped pool. Sunk into a pretty sun terrace, it's flanked by sunbeds and parasols. The real piece de resistance out here though are the spectacular views. You're literally surrounded by the cloud-like greenery. There's also a bar serving cocktails, fresh juices and other specialities, so you won't have to move from the spot. And when the heat gets too hot to handle, why not sneak off to your room for an afternoon snooze? Restful and refined, they have satellite television and air-conditioning. A modern hotel with bags of Italian charm, the family-run Vue d'Or is sure to impress.
