The outside of this hotel may not be anything to shout about but venture inside and the quality’s there for all to see. Take the lobby for instance. Here, White marble floors and columns, coupled with ample square footage, create a bright and airy area that connects to a small lounge.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are earthy in tone and complemented by a chequered and russet theme. High-backed leather chairs, generous proportions, satellite TVs with pay-per-view, internet access and air-conditioning – not something to be sniffed at in the summer months – finish the contemporary vibe.
Should you feel peckish at any stage, there are two restaurants and a bar. The latter offers light snacks and drinks, while the restaurants both specialise in international and classic Italian cuisine. And both come highly recommended.
Location-wise, you’re about a 10-15 minute walk from the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and Michelangelo’s David. And to beat the queues, just ask the friendly and helpful staff at the hotel to book advance tickets for you.
