trace j moore,

Holiday, wedding and honeymoon

My husband and I recently stayed at lesante hotel for 2 weeks and go married in that time too. The hotel was amazing, so stylish and clean. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. We had breakfast included which was great, a lovely selection of food and drinks. We also ate at both of the hotels restaurants, the buffet was really good. The Neptune restaurant was something else, the best food we have both had ever! Our room was lovely, and always cleaned to a high standard. Both the pools were very nice, and the sun beds were very comfy! We would definitely recommend this hotel to other couples. More

ChrissyMoseley,

Lovely, clean hotel & very friendly staff.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Lesante. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted at reception and given a glass of "champagne" (tasted like Asti but a nice touch nonetheless). We were then given a brief tour and taken to our room. I had booked the Deluxe Premium Double Room 6 months earlier and requested a pool view room but on arrival our room was facing the rear of the hotel. Sadly this was a big let down as there is no view, just a row of high trees. The room itself was lovely, cleaned every day and the bathroom very nice indeed with a good shower and jacuzzi bath. Air conditioning did take a while to cool the room even when on full but the weather was particularly hot the whole week so maybe didn't seem as effective. The safe was large and unlike some hotels theres no charge for the a/c,safe & TV remote. Again the TV was mainly foreign channels but a great benefit is that you have a DVD player in the room and the hotel has a small but decent collection of DVDs that you can lend for free. Although all the DVD cases are foreign they're not when you play them. The pool areas are very nice indeed and very clean. Plenty of comfortable sunbeds but sadle, as already mentioned on numerous reviews, the hotel allows people to reserve sunbeds with towels despite having a sign up saying you can't. Quite annoying when you turn up with 99% of the beds reserved with only 1 or 2 people in the pool and no-one else to be seen. Towels for the pool are provided free and you can also take them to the beach. The smaller pool has a couple of fountains & jacuzzi sections which are activated via buttons but none of these worked during our stay. There are 2 restaurants but we only ever used the Ambrosia buffet restaurant. Have to admit the food and the staff in the restaurant are amazing and a real asset to the hotel. Apart from breakfast, the food changed every day and was of a high quality. We were on a half board basis and the main complaint we had about this is that at breakfast, fruit juices/tea/coffee are all provided free. However at dinner there are no drinks included. You have to purchase water (3.50Euro for a bottle!) and 3Euros for a small bottle of Coke. We tried the house white wine at 20Euros and a chardonnay at 26Euros which were fine. Not providing any drinks on a half board basis at dinner is really the only thing we could complain about. The staff in the restaurant are very professional, polite and very hard-working. We had a look around the spa and it looks very nice but we didn't use it. You can use the indoor pool (but it was too warm in there for us!), the sauna & gym for free but you obviously pay for any treatments (massages etc). There are two bars, one by the pool and one in the main reception area by the restaurant. Sadly, I didn't get his name but the gentleman working on the bar in the reception area was very nice. If you were provided a drink with your evening meal, not allowing people to reserve sunbeds then I would certainly return to the Lesante. Tip: If you like turtle spotting then you don't have to go far - when leaving the hotel by the rear exit right in front of you in the middle of the road is a concrete wall painted yellow. Look over the wall and theres a river which is filled with turtles, pop to the shop across the road and buy food and sit on the wall feeding them!More

Anon A,

Great hotel on our honeymoon

My wife and I stayed here during the last stop of our honeymoon. The hotel, staff, and food were FANTASTIC!!! We were able to relax by the pool, spend time in town and easily access the local sites and tours. We highly recommend Lesante and would absolutely stay there again.More

High end luxury

I'm currently half Way through a 2 week stay at this hotel on a half board basis. There are many positives. Very clean, high standard of food with a different menu every night. A great spa. Hard working professional staff, two good pools with plenty of really comfy sun beds. Overall I can't really fault it. The only negative is the massive price hike compared to the prices in the local bars and restaurants. Example- a beer 6.50 euros. Twice the price as the bars in town. Hot chocolate- 6.50 at the hotel, 1.50 at the local bars. It's noticeable how people mostly order only water with their evening meal (3.50 euros. 1 euro in the shops). Overall a lovely, clean, very relaxing hotel, but worth factoring in more spending money than you may expect if you intend to book. I would return, but on a b&b basis as there are several nice restaurants in the area at a fraction of the price. More
