Thanks to stylish, contemporary décor and a top-of-the-range spa, this is Zante’s leading 5-star hotel.
This place is a leading light in Zante’s luxury scene. It’s an ultra-stylish retreat, with a pair of huge pools and a choice of elegant dining spots. And the classical style spa takes care of pampering.
It’s a minute’s stroll through the olive groves to the soft-sand beach. And it’s a 15-minute walk into the heart of Tsilivi, where you’ll find a big choice of shops, bars and tavernas.
Enjoy the many spa treatments on offer, such as massage and body wraps. You can choose to relax in the heated indoor pool and whirlpool bath, or wind down in the sauna and steam room. Whether it's a special occasion or you'd just like to treat yourself, visit the hairdresser and choose from a range of services.
This place is open for breakfast. It offers up Greek and international specialities. You can decide if you'd like to sit indoors or outside overlooking the pool. There's a dress code here, men are asked to wear long trousers at dinner.
We were warmly welcomed by Dimitri, even though our room wasn't ready we were made comfortable and given a glass of fizz to be getting on with.
We were shown to our room which we were very pleased with, very clean, modern and comfortable, the bed is really really good. Plenty of towels, toiletries etc.
We booked with Thomson (Tui) excursions promoted but not aggressively so. We booked turtles and the shipwreck trips. Would recommend these trips in good sea conditions only. Our experience of the shipwreck trip was awful. No h& s advisories, I.e life jackets locations. Was totally untrusting of the boat and boat driver's abilities, many people scared and being sick. In hindsight I would not have boarded the boat in the conditions of the sea that day. My husband told me afterwards he was worried for our safety. Needs to be better regulated in respect of safety.
Hotel food: we were on B&B basis, if you want to have dinner it will cost â¬28 pp for buffet which is not good value . All said, the hotel staff are exemplary, I must mention, lovely helpful Elena, Spirios, Thomas, and of course Dimitri, Front of House extraordinaire ! The restaurant staff are courteous and put up with rudeness from other guests more graciously than I would.
Housekeeping: our room was beautifully serviced daily by lovely friendly ladies.
Spa: is a peaceful area, didn't get to use the facilities, but was shown around by a lovely spa assistant.
Pool bar is clean and inviting, and pool bar very efficient.
I would stay again at Lesante and look forward to the Lesante Blu,
Great Hotel for a relaxing holiday
Have just returned from a one week stay at this hotel - we booked with Thomas Cook at the start of the year and were extremely pleased with the holiday overall. It was excellent value. The hotel itself is lovely and we made full use of the Spa facilities. The room we had was very comfortable and kept very clean, on a daily basis, by the housekeeping team. Meals were good and there was plenty of choice - all of the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and attentive and seemed genuinely pleased to have us to stay at the hotel (not a forced smile from anyone!). Our room was on the ground floor and it overlooked the pool area. Pool looked great but, for me, too cold in May to make use of. I'm sure it would be used to full capacity as the season goes on and the temperatures warm up. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and, looking at the out sides of other hotels we passed on our various journey's it seemed to us we were staying in one of the more 'up market' hotels on the island - it was a lovely choice and we would highly recommend to others. The one and only downside was that the free WiFi was not at all effective - despite various attempts each day we never really managed an effective signal. I heard one of the other guests mention it to a staff member and he did say that the hotel were working on it so perhaps later in the season it will be fixed. One single recommendation for other visitors - pack some DVDs! The room had a DVD player and we made full use of ours - I'm afraid the local choice of TV channels doesn't have much going for it - that's not in the gift of the hotel and so the provision of a DVD player was really appreciated.More

Elegant Serenity, and should be Adults Only
From the moment we arrived, we felt like a valued guest. Check in was calm with champagne, followed by a personal tour of hotel on way up to our room by Thomas.
Our room was normal deluxe but we were delighted to be given our request overlooking pool and even partial sea view. Big comfy bed, with soft pillows, nice linen and coordinated curtains and cushions. Complimentary wine and water on table. Kettle and tea/coffee facilities on tray, replenished daily. Mini bar in fridge. Bathrobes and slippers. Free safe. Plenty of drawer wardrobe space. Nice double basin bathroom with hairdryer and nice toiletries. Flat screen TV and DVD player (dvd's available in library). Balcony with table and chairs. One minor, balcony could do with a small wall mounted dryer for wet swimwear.
Pool area has best sun beds we've ever had, cushioned with headrests, and plenty about the two pools, tho not sure during peak time. Pools not heated, so quite cool but refreshing. Pool towels provided and can be changed at Spa. Indoor pool warm, but too humid for us. Poolside bar for drinks and snacks. Very quiet atmosphere and very relaxing. Smaller pool quite deep and was worrying seeing children playing on steps without supervision or running around close to edge.
Restaurant food was super. Not tons of choice, but different every night and something for everyone and the emphasis was definitely quality over quantity. A nightly carvery, showcase and fish always available with variety of salads, hot sides, fresh rolls, soup and lovely desserts. Breakfast was choice of continental or cooked, with huge cooked omelettes and yummy pancakes. The waiter staff were superb and attentive, and we were pleased that the trouser dress code was being enforced. Drinks a little expensive, but that's usual for a good hotel.
The hotel is quite boutique with attention to detail. Extremely clean and well tended both inside and out. Loved the ever changing evening lights around pool and glass lift. Very atmospheric. All the staff are friendly, happy and hardworking to maintain high standards and the reception and porter are very helpful and knowledgable. Evening entertainment is low key with pianists, duets or music.
Hotel is in good position, just a short 800yds stroll to beach (left) and a 800yds stroll to little supermarket (right). Beach is shallow and mainly sandy with crystal waters and many bars offer free sunbed if you purchase food and drink from them. A nice 10 minute walk along road or beach will take you into Tsivili with its bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Some good food about along with freebie drinks if you're friendly to owners! A taxi into Zante town is 11 euros and drops you at harbour. Not many boats, church was shut and high street just clothes and souvenirs, so bit disappointed ..perhaps it was too early in season. There is bus station from Zante to other places to explore further afield, or just hire a car. You can also book boats trips from front.
We had a fab 10 days (even with 3 days rain!) and would recommend Lesante to anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing, calm and peaceful break. However, if I had just one comment, it would be that this hotel focuses on a serene atmosphere, elegance and quality and for that reason, would be better suited to being Adults Only. 90% of guests were couples. There are minimal facilities for children and they can disturb the overall ambience that the hotel has striven to create.
GO there and enjoy!More
Beautiful, but crowded hotel.
Staff is friendly, reception staff welcoming.
Room was perfect, bathroom oke, swimmingpool looks stunning at night with lights and palmtrees.....but we didn't swim during our 3 night stay. Breakfast not 5* and when you wake up late....you have to wait for a breakfast-table.
In general a reasonable hotel.More
' FABULOUS '
Our second visit to this beautiful hotel.
During our last visit 3 years ago there appeared to be only one manager, quite an elderly man who was always in a suit. This year there seemed to be more younger gentlemen in suits walking around the hotel, of which one was very unprofessional by appearing to reprimand his staff during breakfast in front of the guests. This would be my only complaint.
This hotel is just fabulous. Had a pool view room once again which was just lovely. Only stayed on a B & B basis again as we like to eat out at night time. Breakfast was great with a fantastic choice on offer from a full English, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, cereals. Juice and tea/coffee is served to you at your table by very friendly and efficient waiters who did not need telling off by managers.
This hotel is definitely in my top three of hotels which I would return to.
Well done The Lesante - you have a beautiful hotel
I understand that next year there is to be The Lesante Blu hotel which is currently being built just a few kilometres away and this will be an Adults Only Hotel, which I'm sure will be worth a visit.More
