Gorgeous gardens, stylish interiors, and a great pool scene - the Hotel Contessina is every inch the relaxing Greek getaway. The location also gets top marks. There's a sandy beach close by and Tsilivi's a five-minute walk away.
From the outside the Hotel Contessina is pretty traditional looking – all pastel-coloured walls and wrought-iron balconies. But head inside and things take a modern turn. In the lobby bar for instance, retro floral wallpaper sits alongside a spot-lit ceiling. The bedrooms are just as stylish, dressed in different shades. What’s more, they come with in-room extras like TVs, air-conditioning and fridges.
Outside, the pool is framed by a roomy sun terrace peppered with loungers and parasols. Pad across the terrace and you’ll find lawns dotted with olive and cypress trees. Plus, there’s a sandy Blue Flag beach nearby.
On the food front, things have been kept pretty simple. Think fresh salads, bar snacks and a wide variety of cocktails, all served up by the pool. For something more substantial, you’ll need to head into Tsilivi itself which is about a five-minute walk away. And when you want to turn the entertainment factor up a notch, Zante Town is well worth a look, too. It’s a ten-minute drive and there’s a bus stop within walking distance of the hotel.
Amazing hotel, staff are lovely and so welcoming! They helped us with everything we needed and asked for! The first thing we noticed was how clean the hotel and rooms where! We will definitely be back!!More

Yet another fantastic holiday
Our 2nd year in a row at this fab hotel. Lovely staff from cleaners, handyman, reception and bar staff, all very polite and friendly. The rooms are nice and cleaned daily. We saw many faces return from the year before which speaks volumes.
We would start every evening in the bar with Sot and then go and visit the many restaurants and bars in the area and always end up back in the hotel bar with Sot the barman doing cocktails.
Beach is only 5 mins up the road and the larger than expected town just at the end of the road with many restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and supermarkets.
Have already booked two weeks next year :-)More

Very good , Very good
Have just come back from a two week holiday with friends , our friends went last year and loved it so much we joined them this year, this has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in , clean, friendly and nothing is too much trouble at all from any of the staff , The bar is brill and Sot is absolutely fantastic, he of course only makes the very very best drinks lol , prices are excellent for a hotel , am missing him already , never went to bed before 2.00 am , we had a room in the block pass the pool and was lovely and quiet , breakfast was good , plenty of bars and restaurants just down the road , my favourite one was The Half Way House,
Thank you to all the staff for a fab holiday , will definitely go back one day , just a shame I can't go next year More

Great Hotel, Perfect for our stay
Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Contessina.
We holidayed with a large group of family and friends. 17 of us altogether.
We were welcomed with drinks in the reception and shown to our rooms.
Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the children's play area.
Unfortunately there was a large tree obstructing any nice view of the pool we may have had, but to be honest that didn't bother us as we didn't spend too much time sitting on the balcony.
Other rooms in our party had great views. Definitely request a pool view if you can.
The hotel and all its rooms are spotlessly clean and the maids do a fantastic job. They work almost all day and to a very high standard.
The bar staff were great too, you must join Sot and Andy for pre meal drinks and perhaps a nightcap. They work really hard to keep everyone happy and enjoying their holiday.
The reception staff were great too, organising a cake for us and had it delivered to the Balcony Restaurant for a special occasion. Zoe was lovely and always had a friendly smile on her face.
As mentioned by others you have to pay extra for air con, safe and fridge, but it only worked out to 180 Euros for 2 weeks so we thought that was quite reasonable.
The location is the best in Tsivili, as its literally a 2 min walk to the beach, less than that to where all the restaurants are. So much choice, you could eat at a different restaurant every night for 14 nights and have a great meal in all of them.
Our favourites were The Halfway House, Manir, The Balcony (need to get a taxi but its only 6 Euros and definitely worth it with fantastic views)), Obelix, Peppers (on the road down to the beach).
Also only a short walk to the waterpark, which is great if you have kids.
The small harbour is about 5 mins walk away and just past there is Alexandra Beach which a lovely place to stop off for a few drinks. Quite a few weddings take place there.
You did have be down to get a sunbed quite early and we even saw one family really upset when they couldn't get their 'usual' spot as someone else had got it !
We never struggled to get some, there were always some left (usually the ones in the shade for the first part of the day, which is actually quite nice)
Breakfast was great and rotated every 3 days or so. It was a shame they didn't serve until 10.30 rather than 10, as quite a few people came down to eat right at the end making it very busy at times. Plenty of fresh food constantly brought out though.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a higher class hotel, near to all the best restaurants.More

We stayed at the contessina for 7 days from the 20th august to the 27th.
We were a party of 3, 2 adults and 1 child.
The hotel was very clean and tidy cant fault it, the food at breakfast very good from cerial to fruit to a fry up something for everyone.
I always got a sunbed if you get up about ten then you wont but that is the same everywhere.
The hotel staff excellent very friendly especially sot and andy in the bar, and helen who worked very hard tge waitress couldnt fault anything.
Pool lovely and clean.
Rooms adequate very clean for what you need.
Not a cloud in the sky all week weather excellent.
We ate out every night and we didnt have a bad meal plenty of restaurants to eat at, the 7 which we ate and me and my mrs are fussy were in no order the half way house , family, giorgio, beijing chinease , the italian on the corner of our hotel cant remember the name youd see it when you come out, micri appolia romios all recommend but plenty of others to choose you are spoilt for choice.
Would recommend tisvilli waterpark after 2 30 it becomes half price and thats enough time not the biggest but clean and ample slides.
Beech nise we always walked from one end to the other about 20 min walk along it there and back.
Overall a great holiday, I normally dont do go back as the world is a big place but I would defo go back here and to this hotel.
For drink and food nott expensive at all we brought money back I we normally dont.
