Gorgeous gardens, stylish interiors, and a great pool scene - the Hotel Contessina is every inch the relaxing Greek getaway. The location also gets top marks. There's a sandy beach close by and Tsilivi's a five-minute walk away.
From the outside the Hotel Contessina is pretty traditional looking – all pastel-coloured walls and wrought-iron balconies. But head inside and things take a modern turn. In the lobby bar for instance, retro floral wallpaper sits alongside a spot-lit ceiling. The bedrooms are just as stylish, dressed in different shades. What’s more, they come with in-room extras like TVs, air-conditioning and fridges.
Outside, the pool is framed by a roomy sun terrace peppered with loungers and parasols. Pad across the terrace and you’ll find lawns dotted with olive and cypress trees. Plus, there’s a sandy Blue Flag beach nearby.
On the food front, things have been kept pretty simple. Think fresh salads, bar snacks and a wide variety of cocktails, all served up by the pool. For something more substantial, you’ll need to head into Tsilivi itself which is about a five-minute walk away. And when you want to turn the entertainment factor up a notch, Zante Town is well worth a look, too. It’s a ten-minute drive and there’s a bus stop within walking distance of the hotel.

We first went to the Contessina Hotel with friends in 2009. It was so good we had to return. The staff were really helpful & friendly. The rooms were clean & kept that way throughout the 2 weeks we were there. Breakfast was great & although it was the same most mornings there was plenty of choice. The pool was cleaned every night & new chemicals added weekly. The town itself had plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from although after the 1st week we had our favourites that we kept going back to. All within easy walking/staggering distance from the hotel too. I'm sure we'll be back again in future because we loved it so much. Highly recommend going hereMore
The Contessina really is lovely. We had spotted it the year before whilst staying elsewhere in Tsilivi and decided to come home and price it up for this year. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced it was and therefore our group of 15 family and friends booked up. We couldn't have had a better hotel. Bearing in mind we like to go out and eat at night, the fact that it was just B&B suited us. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the rooms are lovely and the staff excellent. Thanks to Spiros who ran the bar during the day and Sott who ran the bar ALL night long.....sorry for keeping you up so late :) and to all the staff who work so hard to make this hotel so lovely. Would highly recommend. Nicely positioned, super pool, lovely breakfast and lunches and Sott makes a mean Pina Colada and watch out for his family brewed Raki !!!! You wont get better than this hotel for the price.More

Lovely friendly hotel
Went last year and had a wonderful time. Set on a side road just outside the main town of tslivi but still with plenty of bars and restuarants on the doorstep. The beach is just a short walk down the road 3mins max. Again a few very nice restuarants looking right over the bay. We loved the place and the beach was our fav. The hotel was clean and tidy rooms not over large but all you really need. There is a new block of rooms the other side of the pool, which are more updated than the main part of the hotel. The only downside can be the noise from the road and the bar, depending on were you are located, so beware and ready to pay out for air con, so you can keep the windows closed.More

Lovely hotel. Went late sept early oct. We're a married couple in mid forties, enjoyed location however hotel was too quiet for us. No entertainment of any sort so many people left most nights to go elsewhere. Breakfast very satisfying but if you want food you can't order in the evening time. Staff are very polite/helpful. I had a bottle of wine/card/balloon left In room for my birthday and anniversary which are on the same day. Rooms lovely but a bit basic. I would go back to this hotel but earlier in the season. Only saw 2 children here in the fortnight. I'm 45 and I missed the noise a little bit.More
