Gorgeous gardens, stylish interiors, and a great pool scene - the Hotel Contessina is every inch the relaxing Greek getaway. The location also gets top marks. There's a sandy beach close by and Tsilivi's a 5-minute walk away.
From the outside the Hotel Contessina is pretty traditional looking – all pastel-coloured walls and wrought-iron balconies. But head inside and things take a modern turn. In the lobby bar for instance, retro floral wallpaper sits alongside a spot-lit ceiling. The bedrooms are just as stylish, dressed in different shades. What’s more, they come with in-room extras like TVs, air-conditioning and fridges.
Outside, the pool is framed by a roomy sun terrace peppered with loungers and parasols. Pad across the terrace and you’ll find lawns dotted with olive and cypress trees. Plus, there’s a sandy Blue Flag beach nearby.
On the food front, things have been kept pretty simple. Think fresh salads, bar snacks and a wide variety of cocktails, all served up by the pool. For something more substantial, you’ll need to head into Tsilivi itself which is about a five-minute walk away. And when you want to turn the entertainment factor up a notch, Zante Town is well worth a look, too. It’s a ten-minute drive and there’s a bus stop within walking distance of the hotel.

Best hotel in Tsilivi
This year was our 4th visit to the Contessina & once again it didn't fail to impress. It's extremely clean, excellent value for money, the breakfast is lovely & the staff are friendly. Getting a sun bed in a morning is a bit stressful as people wait until 8 o'clock to pounce & if you're not there at this time you don't get a sun bed. On the whole a fantastic hotel in a great location.More

Just got back from a superb 2 weeks at the Contessina in Tsilivi. The Rooms are excellent. We had a view of the pool which was better - always worth emailing the hotel as we did to see if it's possible to get one. We had a view of the pool and the sea which was lovely. The breakfast was really good, as was the lunch bar menu. We didn't try the bar at night but it always seemed to be quite lively when we came back in after an evening out. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the heart of Tsilivi, but there were plenty of bars and restaurants very close by. The beach is also a very short wlak away, as is Tsilivi Water Park if that's your thing. Overall, we couldn't really fault it!More
My new husband and I traveled to Tsilivi for our wedding in mid August and stayed at the Contessina for two weeks. The hotel is beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean. The rooms are fab and have the comfiest beds I have ever slept in in a hotel. But what made it such a great place was the fantastic staff. From the lovely team of cleaners to the fab barmen and the lovely reception staff who cannot do enough to help. On our wedding day they even left champagne, flowers and balloons in our room, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. All of our family and friends visited us at the contessina and were all jealous that they weren't staying there! We can't wait to book up again for next year!More

Clean, friendly and comfortable
We stayed here for 2 weeks in mid-August and found the hotel to be everything we expected and more. He hotel is kept immaculately clean and the staff are all very friendly and happy to help with any enquiries. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and had a powerful shower. More

This was our 3rd stay at the Contessina and it still ticks all the boxes for us... Clean, bright, modern rooms, friendly staff [inc the Barmen] ideal location within the resort, having stayed elsewhere in Tsilivi [5 hotels] this is a firm favourite. First thing in the morning the army of cleaning staff set to work around the pool area then move their way up to the rooms after breakfast. Beds made and new towels everyday. No towels on sun beds before 8am as this gives time for the afore mentioned to do their stuff around the pool. There are signs out periodically reminding guests of this and Reception Man wanders out armed with one under his arm every now and then in a sort of 07.30 mexican stand-off should some bleary eyed sandled Brit venture out too early. Yes, you do have to pay a fee for the A/C and a Safe. [oh no, not another whinging Brummie] but this is probably down to the Tour Operators greed on the room rates so we just budget this in. Believe me, i'm not a fan of paying for A/C, pardon the punn, but i've paid a lot more elsewhere... I really like the breakfast too. If you went else ware you'd pay 6e and get what your given. At the Contessina, theres always the makings of an English Breakfast, bacon/sausages, jams, white/wholemeal toast, cereals pastries, hams cheeses, 3 sorts of eggs every day- so theres something for everyone, even for the most fussiest of eaters [or kids]- all buffet style and you can go up as many times as you like. With predominantly British clients, the hotel caters for lots of weddings. I say this because I can think of worse places to get married other than a sun-soaked Greek island. Lots of Welsh and Cockeney's when we were there. It was like taking a holiday on the set of Gavin & Stacey at one point. Having said that, the vast majority of guests at some point would sit and have a drink at the bar either in the afternoon/early evening and the sound of laughter would emanate out...that was the thing for me with the staff, everyone had a smile on their faces. So, all being well i'll be back next year.....as if i'd go somewhere else ?? ttfnMore
