St Denis Apartments

These peaceful apartments come with a pristine pool and a beach within striking distance.

Location-wise, these self-catering apartments couldn’t be better placed. You’ll find them down a quiet side street less than a 5-minute walk from Tsilivi’s main strip. And the beach is even closer.

There’s a pristine pool in the middle of the complex. It’s set among well-tended gardens and comes with plenty of sunbathing space. The poolside bar will keep you topped up with drinks and snacks.

Excellent place

Just got back from 11 nights at the St Denis, and I can only describe the place as one of the nicest places I've stayed at.We had a studio apartment ( B5 ) which was situated at the top of the complex behind the planet apartments, and no you can't hear any noise from their bar.Lovely apartment, with all you need, decent shower and although a hard mattress,a surprisingly good nights sleep on it.Nice pool area although main season you will have to get up and reserve a bed. A nice bar doing good value meals and reasonably priced drinks.Air con is 7euros and well worth having.Vivian and her team of cleaners work very hard with apartments being cleaned and clean linen towels every day apart from Sunday.Giannis and Fotis run the bar and meals and also work very hard. All in all, thank you St Denis for a lovely time...we will be back.More

Lovely place that lives up to its brochure description

We have just returned from a week in Tsilivi and I have to say that we were very impressed with the St Denis apartments and our overall holiday experience. The transfers were well organised and short in duration (about 20 minutes from the airport). We stayed in D block which overlooked the gardens but was also only a few metres from the pool. The accommodation is basic but good, with separate bedrooms for the kids and for the adults. The apartments are clean and functional and fully double glazed to minimise any outside noise. There is a dining set in the kitchen and on the balcony, so you have the choice of either. It would have been better though, if access to the balcony could have been through the double room as opposed to the single room, though we did manage ok. Our apartment was cleaned about 4 or 5 times in the 7 days we were there. The gardens are very well maintained and add to the great feel of the place. The pool was small but still ok, and was a perfect temperature all throughout the day. Pool inflatables are provided for use by the pool users. The pool bar was nice and chilled, and was relatively quiet on the evenings. The guys behind the bar were very friendly. The boys wanted to be on Wi-Fi all the time, and the St Denis Wi-Fi is very slow. The apartments are only about a 2 minute walk away from the shops, bars and restaurants of Tsilivi, though the busier 'centre' is a further 10 minute walk. We found a shortcut to a lovely bakery which is well worth a visit and is only a 10 minute walk away from back of the apartments and along a gravel path. The beach is about a 3 minute walk in the opposite direction. Air con is optional at a cost of 10 euros per night, but it is essential as there was no breeze whatsoever. Safety deposit box hire is 15 euros for the week. Sunbeds are all taken by about 8am, so there's no lie ins to be had! we ended up getting up at 6am to get sunbeds and weren't the only ones... Some of the Tsilivi bars stay open very late (or very early which ever way you look at it!) but I only heard some music from a distance when going to the toilet at 2am, so this didn't affect us at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay both in the St Denis and in Tsilsi and wouldn't hesitate to visit again. More

Paul B,

Fantastic family holiday thanks to St Denis.

Would definitely recommend & happy return. Central location, decent size pool, fab pool bar with good food reasonably priced. Apartments spotless clean & cleaned / towels changed daily. A block for me. We did have air con so windows shut but slept perfectly. No noise from our bar or elsewhere! All staff really friendly & worked incredible hard. Fantastic all round, just hope we can return. Minutes from beach & restaurants, excellent pool bar open day & evening, the sun shone what more could you want. Thanks. More

Good and Bad

Good....We stayed in a studio apartment which was spacious with a double and single bed. A small kitchenette equipped with everything you would need to self cater, fridge/freezer, oven & hob, kettle, toaster and all the necessary pots, pans, crockery and cutlery, a small dining table and chairs, dressing table with large mirror, wall mounted tv and ample wardrobe and drawer space. Everything was scrupulously clean, sheets and towels changed almost every day and our lovely maid Leah did a fantastic job. Good bathroom with shower over bath, always plenty of hot water. The pool area was kept clean and tidy. Plenty of sun beds and parasols and good music played at the bar. A good bar menu if you didn't feel like doing your own lunch. Lovely gardens and a sweet little chapel in the grounds. Their is also a small supermarket on site. Bad...Our apartment (K10) was on the second floor overlooking the chapel. Unfortunately, the owners also lived on this floor with their dog and cat. Not really appropriate amongst paying holidaymakers. The dog often barked as it spent most time on the balcony that went under our bathroom window. We also suffered from late night music from the surrounding bars, one night until 3.30am. Not the fault of the St Denis but still relentlessly annoying. The security safe in the room is available at a charge of €15 per week and air conditioning at €7 per night. You have to vacate your room by midday on day of departure, to keep the room any longer incurs a €20 charge. Generally...We've been to Tsilivi many times before and love the village. It's becoming noisier ( or perhaps it's because we're getting older) and spoilt our holiday because of it. Dozens of restaurants and bars to choose from, all basically offering the same menu and not much difference price wise. However, be prepared for the supermarket prices when buying essentials for self catering. You can expect everything to be double, if not more, the cost of UK prices. Would we go back? Probably, but not to the St Denis. We would prefer somewhere a bit quieter perhaps further out of the village but still within walking distance of our favourite restaurant, the Micri Acropoli (see separate review).More

Amazing holiday

Just returned home from an amazing stay at St Denis. we did have a problem upon arrival as we booked a 2 bedroom pool view Apartment 12 months in advance. Upon arrival we were allocated a 2 bedroom apartment in K block overlooking the small church. Whilst this apartment was adequate it was not what we booked. I was initially advised by the lady that this was the only apartment available however after a long discussion and myself showing my exasperation with the issue she did then come back to advise us that there was an apartment available in D block. Which I was very grateful for. The apartment in D block was lovely, 2 large bedrooms, a nice kitchen and eating area and a great balcony overlooking the pool. The apartment had everything we needed and more plus it was 36c when we were there and the additional charge for the air con was so worth it. All the staff there were lovely and helpful including the lovely lady who came most days to clean our apartment. The pool is a fair size too and was very nice. We were there at peak season so beds around the pool were an issue. A lot of people would put their towels down the night before which was appalling but not unusual. The apartments are within a great location. Less than 5 mins to a lovely beach which we did lots of water sports and 2 minutes walk to all the many lovely restaurants in the area. There were 2 small supermarkets right outside the apartments which had everything we needed or a much larger one 5 mins away. We wasn't disturbed in the evening as once you close the doors and put the air con on it shut out all noise. If I had to find a criticism it would be that the beds were very hard but this didn't effect my sleep at all. My familly and I had a great time there and wouldn't hesitate to return. My only worry is the pool view issue when you book it clearly allows you to select a pool view option which you get charged extra for, I did email the resort direct a few weeks before to clarify the same which was again confirmed. However on arrival this was a different matter and had to really get into an argument to sort the problem out. I wouldn't of minded if I hadn't paid extra but I had. If I could get reassurance that this wouldn't happen again I would go back in a heart beat as it was just lovely. More
